I love this place normally, but if I had have known that there was a condensed/limited Bank Holiday Weekend Menu I probably would have gone elsewhere but as I was already sat down and ordered a drink decided to stay. As always staff are excellent and food was lovely if a bit below their usual standard, wouldn't stop me returning though. May be just keep your website updated with menu changes, that would of avoided the little disappointment I felt when something that is on your normal lunch menu wasn't available

Overall a good experience , food is always good. Portion sizes are a bit big but probably fine for most people. Really nice atmosphere and good service.

Excellent Sunday Lunch/Dinner, good choice of roasts and lovely fresh seasonal vegetables. Huge homemade yorkshire puddings and tasty gravy and big portions so go there hungry. Extra's available such as cauliflour cheese and pigs in blankets. Quirky and a great atmosphere, try it you will not be disappointed.

Have always enjoyed my visits to the parlour but this time unfortunately the roast beef was very over done and the yourkshire puddings were dry and slightly burnt. Most of the waiting staff are normally very friendly but we had one waitress that was a little rude and didn’t handle our complaints very well, overall a bit of a shame but I would come back.

We were very disappointed by a dodgy Sunday lunch. Great craft beer and wine but in Chorlton that's not that hard to find. Friendly staff appeared to be over worked and so requests often need to be repeated or were forgot. The Sunday roast was very poor with rubbish roast potatoes (how do you get them wrong) boring pale beef and red cabbage that tasted like an ashtray. Happiness was provided by a yorkshire pudding the size of a babies head but not enough for me to return or recommend. This place will always be busy which is a shame when their food is now so poor.

I ordered the trio roast. The lamb was very fatty, the pork dry, but the beef was ok. The roast potatoes were cooked to the point I could have cracked my tooth on it, it was that hard. For veg I got a large portion of red cabbage and 2 pieces of parsnip. I'm not a fan of either, so can not comment if these were nice. I would have liked some green veg. I was still hungry from not eating the lamb, veg or the potatoes, so I ordered the Apple and blackberry crumble. This was more of an apple and blackberry soup. So much liquid! There was a sprinkling of crumble on top, not enough for me to call this a crumble dessert. It came with custard that was really good, but I had to eat this on its own as there was too much liquid in the 'crumble'. Service wasn't great. The lady serving us was really nice, but she was swamped. She got my drink order wrong (i took it back myself, I wasn't getting her attention again) When I asked for gravy for my main course, it came out a few minutes after I had already eat what I could on the plate. We were never asked if we enjoyed any part of the meal, where I would have advised, no. I do not feel this is really her fault as every table was packed, so I appreciate she was busy. I did hear another group outside complaining that they had booked a table for a set time, but were still waiting an hour to be sat in said table. As somewhere once describes to have the best roast in Manchester, Parlour has really fallen short.
