The Park Restaurant and Bar
Join us on Friday and Saturday nights for live music.
Went with some freinds. The appetizers wee amazing the entrees were just ok. Sadly the restaurant was very empty. The server was wonderful. Hope they stick around and fix the menu a little.
Food was amazing! We shared buffalo cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and wagyu sliders. Drinks were delicious! And we were pleasantly surprised by the band which rocked. We went for dinner but stayed all night rocking out!!
Nice vibe that is different from most other restaurants in Conejo Valley. Good music (including live) from 80s and/or classic rock.
Food was great. The oven chicken was moist and flavorful. The cheese board was lame. Not worth it. Melon wasn’t ripe. Meatballs were very dry. But the sandwiches were excellent. Drinks were perfect. Waiter was super nice.
More of a bar than a restaurant
I would recommend this place for couples night out for dancing or listening to music. On valentines night it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other sitting next to one another because of the music. In addition we had reservations and still got placed at a high top table next to other folks right in front of the entrance. This is a bar with good food, not a restaurant.
The food was great and the service was amazing. Had a wonderful time.
Had a live band so it was a little loud. Music was good, food was good. Too crowded and couldn’t move around and not big enough restroom
While we had a reservation, no seats had been reserved. The hostess offered to seat us either on the patio, which had heaters but we had come to watch the end of the Rams game. There were 2 seats available at the Sushi Bar, which she seated us at. At the time, we asked if we could order off the main menu & were reassured we didn't need to order sushi.
When the guy behind the sushi bar offered us sushi menus, we declined. He immediately said 'well, then you need to move'. He was abrupt & rude, later claiming he raised his voice to be heard above the noise. We requested to speak to the manager/owner. He was apologetic, owning he needed to have a staff meeting. He's been on the sushi chef's case to sell more sushi. How about providing a sushi menu with everyone with the main menu?
We've been here many times & realize it was incredibly busy due to the Rams game. I respect the owner & all he's done for the community (which can be demanding). I like that he has music on the weekends & would plan to attend more, if The Park published the music more. I receive emails & check their FB page.
I like the casual menu, and our waiter was the best. The band that came on at 8:30 changed the whole vibe though. Too loud and "wild" for midweek, at that hour, so we left. We were thinking about staying, and ordering more, but that made the decision easier.
Had an amazing time at The Park restaurant and bar! Friendly staff, great food and live music! Would highly recommend!
If you're looking for a cool, casual place with a great bar, killer menu, and a fantastic, friendly vibe, look no further than The Park! The nicest people and atmosphere, with live entertainment on the weekends! It is now my go-to place! Love it!
We are new to Oak Park from Florida,
Was looking for a neighborhood place we could get a casual meal and a drink. This place fits the bill. Food was really good, service prompt and attentive. Live music on the weekend adds that little something extra which is nice. We'll be back here for sure.
Nice atmosphere and broad menu choices
A lot of fun. Service and food were great.
Really great food and great service. We will definitely return!! I also like the ambiance.
Our server was excellent. There were 20 of us and he was very helpful. We all enjoyed our meal.
Great dining. Fresh salad topped with salmon. Excellent service from all staff inside and outdoors. Great crowd inside and outside. Met some great people. Both bands were lively and very good. Current country music outdoors by Tina Michelle and the Rhinestones and band inside played a bit of everything 70's, 80's and more. Definitely will return.
Pricey but unique menu and delicious excellent wait staff
This place has become one of our favorite secrets. The service is friendly and quick, the food is great and just an overall great dining experience.
Always a fun time! Relaxed atmosphere, great service and even better food.
This was our first time and our waitress was Kelsey and she was great. We never had to wait and she was very good. We definitely willl return!!!
The Morrocan salad was delicious. It's painful when the alcohol costs as much as or more than the food, and I'm not a big drinker.
I thought the chicken wings were great --- a bit spicy but not an issue for me. The pizza was just okay, not anything great. I guess I was expecting more. The brussel sprouts were really good. My kids got chicken tenders and sliders and they were both happy. Overall happy with the meal and service.
Service was slow. People nice, just not attentive. Food choice not great for healthy eaters like my wife. But I liked the Wings, Philly sandwich and sweet potato fries. Music it too loud to talk.
A bar with bar food, so one should not go here with the expectation for good restaurant food. But, as a bar, it had amazing Korean Hot Wings and delicious salads. Also, there is live music on weekend nights, so this place is more appropriate for a fun night out with friends and not with your family!
The food was Good. The atmosphere was upscale sports bar. Our waitress, Ashley, was AWESOME and attentive, and clearly had a lot of restaurant experience.
The highlight of the night was the live music performed by the Freddie Lopez band ... easy jazz, blues, and funk. We stayed for an extra 2 hours sucking up libations and good tunes!
From the moment we walked in it started off bad. As we were walking to our table, we were stopped halfway thru the restaurant and stood there for about 3-4 minutes because our original table was given to friends of the owner. We were then given a table (for 6 of us) that was “L” shaped so we would not be able to talk. Told the hostess to please sit us in the table next to it that was a better seating arrangement. The drinks were ok, but overpriced. The appetizers were good, but the food was not as good as explained on the menu, skimpy on the ingredients. Burgers were boring and the meat on the Philly was dry. My husband called in the morning to tell them it was my birthday, but no mention of it at the end of the meal.
Food was decent but overpriced for what was given. Also we were told by the bartender to sit anywhere. Guess there was no host. Service was quite slow. Took way too long just to get drinks. Probably would not rush back.
We enjoyed the music and the bartenders give great service and make yummy cocktails. We really love their salads too! Wonderful to have a fun place to go in the Conejo.
The food and service was very good, but the band was so loud we couldn't hear what we were saying to each other.
Food is good, but it is too small for LIve Music. Not a quiet table in the house.
Gave us a $15 cocktail with mostly ice.
Ran out of the pretzel bun and didn’t tell us until we asked and the waiter said he ran out. He wasn’t going to tell us if we didn’t ask.
Food and drinks were overpriced.
Live music was good but extremely loud. I couldn’t hear my husband on the other side of the table unless to screamed at one another
Wanted to really LOVE this place.... Not sure how all the reviews were so off the mark from what we experienced. Made reservations for 6:15 on Saturday. Was surprised when we arrived to see only two other groups were in there...made me a bit nervous. The place LOOKS amazing, seating was comfortable. Wanted to order the "cutting board" was told they only had 1 cheese and 2 meats available. OUr server also mentioned they were out of pretzel buns. How is that even possible? On a Saturday night? So we skipped that and ordered their pretzel (very skimpy serving of dipping sauces that were lukewarm). Drinks were unimpressive and mostly ice. Our group then ordered our entrees: Nashville chicken sandwich was ok, the meathead pizza was ok (sauce was bland) and the fat b*stard burger (all the making of a delicious burger but came out warmish and could have used some seasoning on the patty) My husband ordered a cup of coffee and the server brought it and said it wasn't very hot (actually was COLD) said he would comp us the coffee and if they made a fresh pot he would bring out another cup. 20 minutes later he did but then explained that he couldn't find the half and half but "he could try searching for it if we really wanted" Music started at 7pm and was LOUD. It essentially prevented any further conversation. When we finally left to find another place to have drinks and or dessert people were coming in but it was not FULL as one would expect on a Friday night.
I've eaten here a bunch of time and always enjoy myself. The live band was an added treat.
Fun, casual atmosphere! Excellent service
It was really great! Fun ambience!
We enjoy eating at The Park at least once a month. Great food & delicious speciality drinks. Weekend musical entertainment is good.
This place has a nice vibe. I went there with a few of my girlfriends last night. The service was well-timed and friendly. The owner came over and chatted with us, and gave us free tequila shots. The appetizers we ordered were quite good - Korean hot wings (more sweet than spicy), truffle mac 'n cheese, Margherita pizza, sweet potato fries. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails. This is a small restaurant with not a lot of intimate seating. It's hard to hear over the blaring music, so, not exactly a spot I'd pick if you want to have a conversation. It's fun to sit at the bar and chat with the friendly bartenders. I would definitely go back and try some more dishes and a couple of their signature cocktails.
