The Park Grill
Located a mere stone’s throw from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we’re the perfect end to a perfect day of family fun and adventure in the Smokies.
Great salad bar. We often have the filet mignon. Tonight we had the chicken dishes. Awesome. Would order again. Have always enjoyed our meals.
My wife have eaten at this restaurant for years when we have the opportunity to visit the area.
We have never been disappointed. The wait staff have always been pleasant and it is good to see many of the same ones time and time again.
The food is wonderful and fairly priced for it’s quality.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Going out for birthday and loved it my favorite place to come
Have been going here since opened, Food and Service have always been good!
New York strip stalls ordered medium cane out less than rare. Steak was a butcher cut selection, not a chef cut preparation. I expected better for $70.
Always excellent...service, food, value! Filet mignon and salad bar cannot be beat!
The facilities were excellent, the food delicious, and our server, Don, was very attentive and professional. The salad bar was a large structure in the front of the restaurant, but the selections were not very exciting.
The trout was very good
You have to put everything into perspective. Gatlinburg is not home to multiple Wine Spectator restaurants. If you’re a hardcore foodie, go to Asheville NC. But if you’re a foodie like me and came to Gatlinburg to hike, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised with this place. All entrees come with a well stocked salad bar. Best salad I’ve had all week. Homemade basil dressing is well done. The pecan crusted chicken was amazing. Two in our party had the broiled trout. Great hickory smoked flavor. Ribs were better than the town’s top rated BBQ joint. I also had the baked sweet potato with maple butter. Sinful. And to top it off, my sons each consumed a massive mountain of peanut butter chocolate mud pie. Food was served piping hot including the rolls. Small but reasonable wine selection. I’m not a big fan of Southern wines but the merlot from the Biltmore Estate was an exceptional value and surprisingly delicious. Some reviews complained about the price, but everywhere in Gatlinburg is overpriced...get over it.
The food was great and we got huge quantities. The server was very nice and helpful and attentive.
First time there and will certainly not be my last! The salad bar was fresh and plentiful and the food was terrific!
Weekend getaway with husband. This is the nicest restaurant in the Gatlinburg area, located @entrance to RMNP. Excellent food, service and has the look and ambiance of all the great National Park Lodges.
Our server was Melodie! What a treat she was. She made us feel like queens!!!
The lobster and shrimp bisque is the best I've ever had!
Overall a very good experience. The price was upper mid-range. I got the ribeye for around $30, and my wife got the ribs for about the same. Both had good flavor and the service was excellent during the meal. The salad bar was really good as well. I didn't like the pricing for the kids, based on their age. It's good for young kids for sure, but my 8 and 10 year old didn't eat close to $20 worth of food. The hostess that seated us was young and didn't seem enthusiastic about her job, but otherwise, this was a very good experience.
I had the blackened grilled trout. It was fantastic. I will be back on my next trip to the smoky mountains.
I know it is a tourist spot but the chicken sandwich is par on course with a fast food grilled sandwiches, and the salad bar was average at best. My order was delivered incomplete and the onion rings were mush surround in a ring of grease, instead of the crunch you expect for the price you pay. . My partners meal was average as well. You could tell the server's attitude was, "you are a tourist and I don't have to see you again so I will just do enough to get by".
Way overpriced for sub-par food. My husband and I ordered the mac-n-cheese bite appetizer which was the only good part of the meal. Our steaks were over-done for our requested doneness and were dried out. The flavor was good. The mashed potatoes were okay and so was the sweet potato. Salad bar was just okay, too, nothing 'wow' about it.
We had three different people kind of serving us. Not sure who our waitress actually was but none of them were particularly friendly. I'd save your money and try somewhere else. We spent our anniversary dinner budget here so we didn't try anywhere else to be able to recommend another option.
Food was good. My friend and I were on vacation in Gatlinburg and decided on a lighter dinner from Park Grill. Salad Bar was good, just a little pricey. Mac and Cheese bites were good as well, but would have preferred a different sauce with them. Our waiter seemed new and was awkward, but service was decent. Would eat there again and hope to try the Moonshine Chicken.
Birthday dinner was great
For some reason this restaurant was not very crowded. Perhaps because it was further down the strip. We were seated quickly and served drinks and bread right away. Our server was friendly and efficient. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was decent. My mashed potatoes were tasty but a little cold. A few of my family members enjoyed the salad bar.
Food was TV Dinner quality. Service was ambivalent at best. Prices are what you would expect at a decent steak house but food quality was embarrassingly terrible. You would do better at a chain on the strip. Absolutely a joke of a restaurant. Tourist trap in every sense of the word.
The food was excellent and the salad bar was fresh, well stocked and delicious. The waitress was pleasant and extremely efficient. I never saw the bottom of my glass of tea!
I keep coming back to the Park Grill with my wife. Always a wonderful experience.
Told we'd have to wait 15 minutes for our table and there were open tables. Luckily it wasn't quite that long. The server was odd and not what you'd expect for this price point. We asked about specials and he said if the host hadn't given us "a card" then there must not be any. We reviewed the menu and 3 of the 7 decided on the sirloin. When the server took our order, he said they were out of sirloin. Why weren't we told this? Then we had to scramble while he stood there unapologetically to make a second choice. All other steaks were more expensive...of course. Later talking to the manager, they weren't out of sirloin, but were no longer serving it at all. This was even worse. The overall service was average to poor and ruined the experience as the food was decent.
We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation. We asked if we could sit at the bar until our reservation time and host staff said yes. At our reservation time, I asked the bar staff if we were to remind host staff that we were waiting and they said no, the hosts would come and get us. 10 more minutes passed by and I approached the host (young man) and asked if our table was ready. He said they were waiting on us. I explained the bar staff said the hosts would come and get us and the young host said (rudely) that was incorrect. That we were to approach them when we were ready. I said we WERE ready and he said that we all (5 of us) needed to approach the host stand before being seated. He was very condescending and we felt unwelcome.
We went late so was a low crowd and not too busy. Great service. Food was good but we ate light, chicken and sirloin. S’mores desert was great! Great animate in there. Love the decor
Service had their opportunities. Food was below par. Other better restaurants to go to. This one just had no wait. Not surprised.
Excellently prepared dishes in generous portions. Service both at the bar and table were top notch
Great food, great service, great ambiance. We enjoyed the Moonshine Chicken and the salad bar.
There were several staff members that were not busy that were standing around in public view. It was a little awkward since we were near the salad bar/service area.
Don, our Server, was great. Food was done quite nicely and full of flavors. The salad bar was presented nicely as well. The only downside were alot of patrons who think tees, flip flop and shorts are the norm when it comes to dressing for dinner. The menu selection was the right size I thought for giving a variety. If you get a salad get the basil dressing.
This place was amazing. I went there for my 15th birthday dinner. Their black bear brownie bash was the best dessert I had in my life. Definitely wanna go back there.
Not a bad place, service was great. Trout was tasty. Everything else was meh.
Awesome. Will definitely be back! One of the best steaks I have had and the children’s menu is fantastic
Great waiter, great food, overall great experience!
Terrific ribeye! Maple butter is delicious. I’ve already told several friends they need to come to your place when they visit Gatlinburg!
We have had our anniversary dinner there for 6yrs now, along our reception. We have not been disappointed yet 👍 Last year they accommodated a group my Marine Corps Brothers and family members we all walked away full and happy! Keep up the good work!
Made reservation to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we had chosen wisely. The restaurant has huge open post and beam rafters which provides a comfortable rustic lodge feeling.
We were greeted by very friendly staff and despite being 30 minutes early for our reservation, were seated immediately. The Park Grill is able to serve intimate parties of 2 and accommodate large parties of 20.
The menu is balanced and reasonably priced. We ordered a steak with garlic mash and grilled shrimp with seasonal vegetables. Both came with the salad bar and bread. The cook on the steak was a perfect medium rare. It was tender and delicious. The hickory smoked flavor of the grilled shrimp was outstanding.
Unable to decide upon a dessert choice, we opted for the sampler of creme brûlée, chocolate mousse and blackberry cobbler. One word. Outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Bland food, not worth the price. Waiters in jeans, unshaven, with tattoos showing.
Great experience on a busy Friday night in Gatlinburg
