We take each other here frequently to celebrate our birthdays. One of our group has limited mobility so it's a great place for valet parking and quiet, comfortable and enjoyable time together. This was no exception however the usual excellent service was considerably slower than usual especially for a week night. Miss the "steak frites" and 7 oz. steak supposed to be the same, was a bit tough as was the lamb sirloin. Excellent Brussel sprouts and fabulous butterscotch pot de creme!! Please keep them both on the menu! A bit pricier than we'd remembered in the recent past, but still a delightful evening.
Food was good, except for the dessert which we ordered ahead of time to allow for preparation. It tasted like day old cake, make that week old. Also, they kicked us out at 10:00 sharp, although they could clearly see we were in fun conversation.
The Park Bistro has settled into it's updated skin very nicely over time. The Duck Club had always been popular, but the new crew has handled the transition extremely well without losing long-time customers and while picking up new ones. We're back ...
Servicecwas very slow food was ok but not worth the money
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is perfectly prepared and delicious, the service is outstanding, we enjoy sitting in both the Bar by the fire and sometimes watching a sporting event on the tv & in the lovely Bistro where it is quiet.
Great local place in s beautiful hotel we love going there. Great bar as well
Tasty cuisine served in a pleasant setting
On this very cold afternoon, sitting by the fireplace provided a cozy environment
Service was attentive initially yet was a bit slow at the end of our meal It was the end of the lunch rush
Highly recommend the Bistro!
Some of the best food in Lafayette by far.... same menu prices as many more casual places. Incredibly high quality ingredients, and a super cozy atmosphere for a special occasion. I love the booths but the lighting is a bit too low!
I frequent the Park often and have for many years. This dinner with a friend was by far the least positive experience I have ever had. The lack of service was not what I have come to appreciate over the years. We were ignored and overlooked. Both my friend and I were flabbergasted by the experience. It was not busy enough to warrant this disappointing service.
Always enjoy stopping by the Bistro on chilly or rainy days. Sitting/drinking by the fireplace in overstuffed chairs is particularly enjoyable. Prices seem to have gone up, however. Happy Hour from 4:30-6:00 PM may be a better deal .
They required strict Reservations and then had us wait half hour for our table. There was no indication that it was a set menu for the evening
We got up and left
Wonderful local option. Amazing service , great varied menu . We will be back !
Qualty food, lovely atmosphere by the fireplace and good service.
The Bistro and Bar is a place where you can easily meet friends, have a drink in the bar, have a good hamburger in the bar if you are lucky enough to get a table (it's pretty small). Or you can eat in the dining room with the full menu. Six of us went recently, three had short ribs, one had fish and two had soup and salads. I had the short ribs which were well-prepared and good, tho quite rich and I can never eat it all... others said their food was fine. The service, in my opinion is a bit slow. Luckily, we had just gotten drinks at the bar and took them into the dining room, so there wasn't a wait for drinks. There was a wait, however, for order-taking, and another wait to order a bottle of wine. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed that night, but service was much slower than it has been in the past. There was a change of chefs recently and I enjoyed the food of the prior chef more than I did this one. All that said, it's easy to get to, they take reservations (though they can't ever seat six in the bar area, unfortunately), and they have valet parking, which is wonderful. There are a couple other nice places in Lafayette, so the Park Hotel Bistro and Bar is not my "go-to" choice.
Celebrating Christmas and a birthday! The food was scrumptious...had short ribs! The device exceptional....the ambiance festive! Will definitely be returning!
I got sick with the bouillabaisse I ordered. Not only I was itchy (I am allergic to not fresh seafood), I had diarrheas several times.
sat at the bar, and the bartender wasn't good at waiting as well as mixing
I had a panini chicken breast sandwich. I was so so. Also the butternut squash was not great. the service was slow.
Loved the food - too bad the service was so bad this time.
When we arrived we were told we could not have a booth, although many were open. We were eventually moved from our table to a booth because the restaurant was cold and the air was blowing on us. The service and accommodation to us were less than stellar. However, the atmosphere and food were very good and we were happy to end up at a better table.
One of our local standby restaurants. It was a very busy evening during the holidays and they did a pretty good job despite all the large and noisy groups. We got a great table in the dining room so I didn't mind that we weren't in the more intimate bar area. The food is quite good. The French onion soup is delicious. The prices on things vary a lot so you can eat choose to eat quite reasonably. Wine prices are decent and pours are good.
Five friends got together for a wonderful holiday brunch! The atmosphere is so civilized, our server, Jolene, was once again, fantastic, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other options in Lafayette. And, the parking can be easy.
Very good tasting steak with 3 kinds of dips. Good Caesar salad as well.
food was delicious but we waited (and no exaggeration) 50 minutes after ordering for 3 sandwiches. I know it was during the holidays however they bill themselves as a great restaurant and that means managing the kitchen during peak times. No excuse. and I will think twice about going during peak times
We usually like to sit in the Bistro area but it is very busy on Sunday evening so we made a reservation in the restaurant as it was a special occasion, hoping to sit in the Bistro if we got there and a table was open. The restaurant is nice and was tastefully decorated for the holidays just a bit on the cool side.
The food was good but arrived on cold plates and it was very cool in the room. The air was blowing cold from the overhead vents, no very cozy in general, wore my jacket the whole meal. My son and I ordered the short ribs which were excellent but less than half way through the polenta was cold and not very pleasant. Next time we will make sure to sit away from overhead vents or get there really early and sit in the bistro. The
The food and ambiance was great! The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!
We very enjoyable as a quick getaway Lunch.reserved this Restaurant, on the spur of the moment....it was a miserable rainy day outside. The location of the Restaurant is fairly close to where we live. I have been, put my husband has never been to this Bistro. It was delicious, and
Always enjoy our time at the Bistro. Consistently good!
I brought two friends. One was 95 and it was her Birthday. Her Birthday dessert was so nice. Will come again.
Great place for a weekend brunch. Very good value for the quality, ambiance and the range of items in the brunch buffet. Highly recommended.
My husband and I were looking for a place to become our new spot and hopefully we found it! The food here is great and the atmosphere is fabulous. I enjoyed our meal and service quite well. I made the mistake of imbibing on a glass or two of wine, which left me so sleepy after a days work I nearly (if not totally) nodded off tackily in my chair beside the fire. That is how comfortable the dining room is, I suppose! Little yuppie ladies can sit by the fire, dreaming of dessert and perhaps a strong coffee!
Love this place!
Best kept secret in Lafayette.. great food.. excellent service. Yummy cocktails.👍
First of all - Trevor was a fabulous waiter. Unlike most servers these days, he knew to wait until everyone was finished eating before he stated removing plates - can't tell you how refreshing that was! He was very attentive and I will request him again!
The restaurant is also very accommodating. We were celebrating the anniversary of one couple and 82 Birthday of another friend. They each enjoyed their complimentary deserts - one reason we usually go there for our birthday celebrations - in fact will be back in a couple of weeks! I requested a quiet table for 6 because we had 2 hard of hearing folks and the location could not have been better. I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare and it was perfect! I also asked if almond milk was available for my coffee (not really expecting that it was) but they had it - great way to finish the meal.!
Try the Pirate Zombie
Great steak ribeye
Everything cooked perfectly.
The Bar is wonderful and Kim is the very best server! She really does a wonderful job.
The Bistro is quiet and peaceful if you want to go with friends and be able to hear the conversation. The food is wonderful! Each and every time it is wonderful no matter what room you are dining in.
My friend and i were celebrating her birthday. Our favorite lunch chopped cobb salad was not on the menu but the kitchen was very kind about preparing it for us. Our server in the bar is always especially kind, efficient and professional.
Great food, service, ambiance and atmosphere. A bit on the spendy side but we felt it was worth it!
Went to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was outstanding. He knew the menu and was very helpful in making decision on what to order. He was also very attentive without being intrusive. The food was first rate. Husband had fillet with pomme frites and it was cooked perfectly. I had pork chop which was juicy and so flavorful. We both started with a Caesar salad which was crisp, cold with just the right amount of dressing. Nice wine list also.
Overall, a most enjoyable evening.
A complete package for a nice quiet dinner.
