The service was superb but the quality and cost were far out of synch. We paid $160 for two people for two croissant sandwiches (fair), a salad (good) and some tea desserts (not good). Just an outrageous amount for what we got -- $80 each.

The service was excellent as was the tea itself. Egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches were very tasty. Dessert was mixed - delicious macaron and tiny muffins however the other two treats were lackluster.

Staff was great and friendly, but value is poor. Automatic 20% gratuity even for small parties on top of expensive tea time price. Just going for brunch at a restaurant is better worth your money.

Reserved a spot through Open Table for a birthday, but when we arrived it was completely closed with no notice posted from what we could see. I sent a message through the app and even days later, never got a response on why it was closed despite being able to make a birthday reservation. It looks great, but their lack of communication and being unable to experience anything at all because of it really just leaves a bad taste.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. Cute ambiance, the service was fine, but for $65 you get a very small chicken salad sandwich, a small side salad, a pot of tea, a small macaroon l, a Madeline cookie, and two bite sized torts. A total value of maybe $16-$22 nyc prices.

Glad I got to experience it. The atmosphere and decor is great, and I liked their rooibos tea and desserts. However the croissants were more on the dry side, and it's not the type of place you can gossip at for a while, I think I would prefer their non-city locations more.

Overall, very gimmicky. If you want croissants from a container at a grocery store, and madeleines fresh out of the package this is where to go. Disappointing experience. Not worth $63 per person at all.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. We made a reservation then had to cancel, then rearranged plans and made it work and we are SO glad we did. They were super accommodating with our crazy cancel/changes. The food was AMAZING. The service was IMPECCABLE, and the atmosphere was INDESCRIBABLE. With 2726263 things to do in NYC, put this at the top of your list!

Pros: lovely and charming decor, good food, nice selection of tea. The French-themed afternoon tea is a great concept. Our server was very nice. Cons: a rather pricey for the value, but I understand rent is high in NYC. The salad was a nice touch, as were the croissants, but it's unusual to get only 1 tea sandwich at an afternoon tea! The main issue we had was our server pulling dishes out from under us while we were still eating. It happened 3 times! The third time, my friend asked if they needed our table and said we were feeling rushed. I am not sure if the server understood what was said because her response was unrelated to what my friend said. No, they did not have another party waiting, and there were other empty tables already, so I don't know what the deal was with yanking plates away from customers who are eating! Perhaps it was a lack of staff training but I hope that's not a common occurrence there!

My 8 year old and I were the only ones here on a rainy weekday. Good service for sure and nice atmosphere but way smaller than I expected. The tea was nice, the croissant sandwiches were good, as was the salad....but we were not blown away by the desserts. A lot to spend for my daughter and what she ate butttttt.....for a one time experience, you could be happy enough for sure!

Place is so cute but for $62… we got mini croissants as an app the bigger croissants as the main. The desserts were frozen in the middle. The tea was great except they should warn you that the tea bag is still in there because it steeps the whole time and tea is super strong. You could hear a pin drop in the place. We waited a long time for our food to come out which was surprising since it’s a prefixed menu and we were one of 4 tables all seated for 11AM tea. It’s very small and cute but expected more.

The idea of a tearoom in NYC is nice. The place is small so beware of that. Also the place was hot at 9:30 am. Someone forgot to put the A/C on. The portions are nothing like what is advertised on the site(via pictures). The service was great. The food was tasty. Is it worth the price nope. But it is a nice place.

The food was not very good, it felt like a tea party hosted by a child. There should have been more focus on the tea aspect, as well as more high quality finger food. The food was too simple. A salad with 3 ingredients, berries, and grocery store croissants is not worth that much money. I’m sorry for the harsh review, I only wish for the experience to be better.

I must confess I was a little let down by this experience. The place is cute but very small, the tables are very cranked in next to each other which can be a bit of a problem when you come with a very pregnant friend. There’s scaffolding outside as well, which of course it is not the tea room fault, but it impacts the first impressions. The food was just ok, nothing sweeping off your feet, which I was surprised about because Parisian patisserie is usually incredible. It just did not taste fresh and that’s a problem with croissants. My tea cup was very visibly cracked which gave the place such a tired look. I really wanted to love this place but for the money value I think I prefer other tea rooms compared to this one unfortunately.

A cute brunch spot but definitely not worth the money. I'd say skip the high tea and just order individual items. The décor was sweet but a little overdone and the couch where I sat wasn't entirely clean. The wait service was nice but they made us leave after an hour and a half because they had another reservation coming but the store was completely empty. The food and tea was NOT worth the value (we paid for the $63 per person Afternoon High Tea option). The tea and the food were good but it wasn't enough to make it worth the price at all, like I could have bought the entire meal for $20 somewhere else. (also the salad greens were pretty wilted). I'd like to give this place a higher rating but I was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed by the experience. There are so many beautiful tea rooms in the city that seem more worth your dollar, even if they are a little more expensive, and I wish I had spent $20 more just for an experience that was more worth it.

The one staff serving us that day was quite pushy and insistent on making us order 4x each but we couldn’t eat a lot to really enjoy the afternoon tea mini bites and experiences. The salad was a little too simple with cheese and strawberries. Wished there was a little more like added vinaigrette. Croissants were dry. Macarons and chocolate for Easter were a nice touch. Appreciate it. Do better next time should you improve the recipe!

Food was mediocre as was the tea. The croissants were over baked and hard and there was a very minimal amount in them. For the price you’re better off at the Plaza. I would not return to this establishment —while the server and owner were very nice, And the service was good, they need to improve on the actual food and tea. Definitely not something to write home about.

I visited the Parisian Tea Room with my mom and we had the High Coutre Tea experience in the afternoon. We had an amazing time sitting, chatting, drinking tea, enjoying course after course during our experience. Our favorites were the croissant sandwich with chicken salad, the scrumptious macarons, the charcuterie selection, and all of the small confections we had to end our time there. Absolutely recommend for mother daughter excursions, birthday events, and even just a special day together with someone.

We needed a “high lunch” venue that would accommodate my 12 y.o., her two friends, and two moms (including myself) during the girls’ school break. French afternoon tea at The Parisian Tea Room turned out to be exactly what we were looking for, and more! The tea room is beautifully decorated with great attention to details, and right away we felt as if we were in the center of Paris and not midtown Manhattan. The food served was delicious, and the variety of tea choices was impressive (we had French Afternoon Tea). The owner made us feel welcomed and at ease. We would give The Parisian Tea Room ten stars instead of five, if we could. We will definitely be back!
