Enjoy happy hour with friends and order an appetizer to share at The Palmtree Grill at Embassy Suites such as the fried pickles. Choose from a menu full of steak, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, salads and more. If you want to keep it light, try a grilled fish entrée.
This is a perfect place to eat before an event at the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention Hall, or Performing Arts Center. The food is good, the service is excellent, the people are friendly, and you can't beat the location.
This was a very good restaurant and very accessible to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. We ate at the Palm Tree grille for a pre- performance dinner. The Embassy Suites shuttle gave us a ride to and from the Performing Arts Center. We were not even staying at that hotel.
Surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant!
Great experience everything was as good as it gets
The crab cakes deserve five stars--that is saying something since I am a native Marylander. My husband enjoyed the steak.
Went bear for dinner before show to take advantage of there by 2 entrees a free bottle of wine. The manager was very friendly explain the options we ordered two burgers which were very good and he brought us a free dessert to accompany our meal overall the experience was very pleasant nothing bad to say about this restaurant
Best of Broadway performance.
We enjoyed our meal here. I would not consider this venue fine dining or upscale. The food was good. Our server did not seem very experienced but she was pleasant.
My wife and I had reservations and were promptly seated. I had requested an out of the way table in terms of location, and that was honored without me asking. We have been to this restaurant many times over many years before North Charleston Performing Arts shows, and the food and service have always been excellent. If you are going to this restaurant for a 730 show, you should arrive at 515-530 pm to give the restaurant time to prepare your dishes so you can be finished by 700 pm. To their credit this is not a fast food place. I did reduce my overall rating slightly as the waitress did not stop by often enough and I had to ask for things a couple of times, but received them promptly; the restaurant was definitely busy with show patrons. The waitess was friedly and professional. The food has always been top notch; a definite surprise since a "hotel restaurant". We tried the cheese plate as an appetizer this time; excellent in both presentation and taste. This restaurant is a gem!
Family gathered for Thanksgiving dinner. They offered their regular menu which we like plus a traditional Turkey offering. We all opted for the Turkey and were delighted with the both the food quality and spot on service. This place is a gem.
We got to the restaurant at around 6 pm. We told the waiter at about 6:15 when he came to our table that we were going to the theater at 7:30. He took our order & brought the wine. By 6:45 we told him to cancel the soup order as we wouldn’t have time. At 7 pm we still had not been served so we left so we wouldn’t be late for the show. A very disappointing experience.
First off they said they didn't have a reservation on file for me but after looking around they were able to fit us in. I had the special of the day "brisket" which was a good portion but extremely dry. Strawberry Shortcake for dessert was excellant and worth going back for! Waitstaff was very friendly and efficient.
We ate here prior to an event at the Performing Arts Center. It was super convenient to park and eat here. The food was better than I had expected and the free bottle of wine with our play tickets was a bonus. I was disappointed in the seating. I almost had to beg to not be seated directly behind the hostess stand. The restaurant was empty and I was told the other seats were for those with reservations (I had a reservation I had made earlier in the week). By the time we left 90 min later the restaurant only had 3 other tables sat at it. I'm not sure what the big issue was with the table??? For the convenience I would go back when I attend another event nearby.
Our meal and service was very good, but there was a convention in the hotel and a concert at the Coliseum so we never received our drinks. Most of the tables by us had the same problem. We ended up waiting in line at the bar ourselves to get a drink to have with our dinner. This seems to be an operational problem that needs to be fixed. People were not happy and it is not good customer service to tell customers that they would have a better chance of getting a drink on their own waiting in line at the bar than from their server. It is unfortunate because the food was good. Our server missed out on some of her tips either because everyone took their drinks off their order or were angry. Maybe when there are so many people expected the restaurant should have a dedicated bar tender to take care of the restaurant guests.
When we first arrived, there were few other diners present. The waitress finally acknowledged us and took drink orders. She returned many minutes later to take our dinner selections before we had even received our cocktails. The service only got worse as the restaurant became more crowded. To be fair, there was a big concert that night. The food was decent.
The first table we were seated at, was very sticky. We relocated to another table, and it also felt dirty. We left the restaurant and went to the bar area ,where the tables were clean. The hamburger was quite good, but the French fries were cold.
We enjoyed the ambiance, as a matter of fact our party was the only one there at the time. The menu had variety and was pricey. Our seafood was very good, but, there was limited substitutions and everything we looked at was served with french fries. No rice or mashed potatoes or baked potato. As for the price, it will be a while before I go back.
