Food was average with pretty small portions. Beer selection was not that good. Best part was the ambience, on a warm evening and being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Might come back for an appetizer and cocktail, but for dinner.
Food good. Service lacking.
This place is pretty and the vibe is nice. However, our toddler was given a booster seat which slid off of the chair with her in it. She landed on the bricks. Thankfully only her arm was scraped up. If you are planning to eat here with a young child I recommend getting a high chair as the boosters are unsafe.
Food was OK. Not bad. Not great. Just OK.
Went there for Mother's Day lunch. It would have been nice to see some specific specials or at least acknowledgement that it's Mother's day. This was the second time we've been there. As my wife said, "she wouldn't be running back".
Very nice Mother’s Day lunch. Service was very attentive for such a busy day. Food was a Little on expensive side, but when one meal wasn’t to mother’s liking it was quickly exchanged. Replaced meal she very much enjoyed.
Every dish is better than you would expect and the atmosphere is so nice. Staff is friendly. Great spot for a date night or even a night out with the kids. Menu has a good variety so there is something for everyone.
The staff was super friendly and patient. We got there at 12:15pm for brunch. FYI...There’s not 2 items on their brunch menu. Didn’t realize that when we made a brunch reservation. The outdoor seating area is lovely. I would like to go back and experience dinner with their outdoor lighting ambiance. The drinks and food was good. I had the Chilaquiles...came with scrambled eggs and soggy chips. I was hoping for over easy eggs. The poke dish was good! Overall a nice experience!
A very nice evening with live music. The staff went out of their way to meet our request of our large group to sit together. I've been there several times and always an enjoyable experience.
The staff was extremely attentive, kind, and understanding, with us being with our small (and sometimes finicky) pet on his birthday. Thank you!
The outdoor area was very comfortable ! Sheltered from the sun and comfortable. The music was a little loud as we sat by a speaker . The service was great and the servers were friendly and attentive.
The food and drinks were fabulous!
We will definitely return!
This was my first time there and hope to go back and try different items on the menu.
There were 3 of us. We ate outside and enjoyed the patio setup. We each ordered something different and were happy with the food and drinks. The wait staff was excellent, being courteous and efficient.
Great atmosphere, the service was just ok, our waitress forgot about our drinks and wasn't very friendly but everything else was great! We'd definitely go back!
Food is delicious, beautiful outdoor seating and servers were very nice!
Too many liberals
We love all the appetizers to share. During Covid each couple just shared with themselves. Great server. Heat lamps.
Only issue. Some serving plates not spotless, but easily replaced.
Good food, very nice outdoor setting, good service. One of my favorites in Los Gatos.
We ate inside for a dual birthday celebration. Service was excellent. Food very good. As the doors were open and it was a cool night the restaurant was a little cold. This may have been a Covid situation. We would come backOn a warm evening and eat outside next time.
Great food and staff was very accommodating.
Great service and food
Plant-based options are limited, though the staff and kitchen were helpful. Food was okay, probably more impressive if you’re not vegan.
The dj was way too loud
Love The Palms. Beautiful day to have lunch outside. Great music with DJ.
1st time visitor to the Palms. We sat outside, DJ was spinning appropriate lunch music, great people watching. We had Lobster Bisque (delicious) and Fish Tacos (really really good!). The wait staff was very attentive (must have refilled my water 6 times, as it was a warm afternoon), and very pleasant as well.
We had a great time, and experience. Highly recommend!
Beautiful setting and great food combined with excellent service
Servers were not attentive and basically disappeared at the end of our dinner.
Food was excellent.
The server could have been more attentive, but that was not a material issue.
The Palms is not inexpensive, but the food was very tasty and they give you ample portions. Many dishes resemble the type of food you get when you go to Hawaii. Close your eyes and pretend you're there.
Love this place! The outdoor area for dining is perfect! The food and drinks were all amazing. Everything is fresh and done just perfectly! I would highly recommend.
The food was excellent - pear and beet salad, rib eye steak, flourless chocolate cake. The service was prompt although we ordered a split entre ($2 extra) but it did not come split.
We had to ask for an extra plate so we could split it ourselves. We were surprised to have a 20% tip Automatically added to the check - no choice.
Super slow service and 1 hour after ordering they told me they ran out of food!! Never ever going back!
The food was delicious, the portions were perfect and the service was over the top!!!
Keep up the great work!!!
All was good, and I was happy to be back dining in Los Gatos over a year. It was nice to sit outside, and it left safe. The food was ok, but have to share that our server was wearing a dirty "Palms" t-shirt with stains, etc. When he first approached the table I thought it was a mistake and he was just a random guy who walking in from Santa Cruz Ave. Really? A dirty t-shirt, that had holes. Not a good representative of the restaurant.
The food was amazing. The lobster bisque is so rich and creamy. For my entree I got the Macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi with wasabi mashed potatoes and tropical fruit salsa. The fish melted in my mouth. My husband and I shared the key lime pie for dessert. It was a great finish to a wonderful meal.
It was very nice. I like the outside set up. And I really like the round tables when you are trying to visit with friends!
Great service, drinks , apps and mains. Waiter was awesome!!
Lovely Easter lunch. Eating outside felt safe. Portions were small but very tasty.
It was a beautiful Easter Sunday Brunch! I ordered the chicken pasta, it was good, however, I probably should have ordered a seafood dish, that will happen when I return! I also ordered the pear and beets salad , that was perfect. The best part of our entire meal was the Hula Pie!!! That was absolutely delicious!!!!
will be coming back again and again thats for sure
Although our reservation was supposed to be inside, when we arrived, we were placed outside. We were able to adjust but it was not an easy check in experience. The food was quite good but service was not the best. One entree was delivered 5-10 minutes after the first. The staff did make up for it with a nice birthday dessert on the house.
