Kelsey was absolutely amazing! did everything to help me have a great experience. Food was beyond good. I loved it all.
I love this steakhouse. Obviously, it is pricey if you don’t live in NYC however the quality is absolutely worth the price. This was my second time there and I can’t wait to go again. If you’re in midtown and don’t mind spending money for a quality dinner, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place.
Unfortunately, the restaurant has gone corporate when Landrys took over the palm. All of the nice little things that the palm was known for seem to be gone.
I have been a member of the 837 club for two decades. Now, the palm does not even give you a delicious huge carrot cake at the end when you order a piece of carrot cake. The specialty veal chop parmigiana that they have occasionally is gone too.
Very average. While the steak was good as usual, it came out barely warm. I would rank this now on the bottom of high-end steak houses. Very sad because I was a huge fan of the palm.
Great food, usual great service - all Covid protocol was adhered to.
We frequently eat at the Palm. This was our first time since COVID started we returned. Ample room between tables, staff was well masked and wore gloves and even the high chair was sanitized. Felt very safe.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Palm. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the service was great.
Overcooked Chicken Parm which is the reason we go there, so very disappointing.
Celebrating my son, and his childhood friend landing jobs, and their own apartments in NYC!
The Service & drinks was the best thing out of the whole experience. The food was definitely not great! Asked for garlic Mash potatoes they came out cold and not garlic mashed at all... The scallop dish was only 4 scallops, the salmon 1 of my guest ordered was not seasoned well... and everything was just mediocre.
Really miss the Palm One but the Westside Palm is awesome and it was really nice to see that they had some business!
Food delicious, but service a bit slow, particularly given that the restaurant was empty. Disappointed that "half and half" fries/onion rings dropped from menu. Also disappointed that only lobster available was 4 pds., which is too much for one person.
The Palm is slowly coming back to normal. Salmon was awesome.
Food was delicious and service was excellent! Highly recommend
Not my first time. I took a friend because I loved it so much Loved everything except the burger. But they managers worked hard to rectify any unsatisfactory issues. I’ll def dine again.
It was good but the food when I finally got to me was cold.
I would definitely go back. it must have been a off night
Amazing and great service. Food was espectacular
The 18oz. steaks with lobster cherry pepper was a home run. It was great to see some of the long time waiters again, and the waitress Cassandra was professional. I also want to send a special thanks to John the GM for resolving a issue I had at the restaurant. Thanks John
The menu is minus many of the best dishes: double steak, fried onion rings, cottage fries, Monday night salad.
Date night with the wife and as always a great dinner and service.
So wonderful dining at The Palm West again. The lobster bisque, crab salad and lobster gnocchi were all just amazing. And the chocolate layer cake was wonderful as always. The service was outstanding. I will be going back very soon!
The steaks were severely undercooked, practically raw, not pink, RAW.
Love the new Fish Friday special! Delicious and perfect to share.
The restaurant was empty so I was surprised our waistress was not more attentive wirh gaps in between plates being cleared and she arriving. Most disappointing was I told her it was my friends birthday and had hoped she would have inclcued a candle on the dessert or have happy birthday written on the plate but neither was done.
The Palm is just not the same. Even before the pandemic, it had started going too corporate and servers no longer engage and chat with customers like they did in the days of Gino.
It is though with today’s limited menu options. They can’t help Covid. But food quality isn’t the same, and no lobster on a Friday night is just depressing.
I’ve earned nearly 50K Palm points over the past many years. It is time to hang up that habit. There are too many other choices offering better quality food if I’m not going to get the old Palm ambience that drive me to dine there week after week.
It was a disappointment, especially the lobster. The Palm was always my go to for fresh whole lobster. That night the place only had 3-pounders (that was fine) but when it arrived it looked smaller. More importantly: the waiter recommended baked over steamed. What I got was a steamed lobster, which was then placed in the oven. That dried it out, and the tail started to curl! I thought it would be grilled from start to finish, thereby imparting flavor. Not a good way to cook lobster.
But, my husband ordered the sirloin steak and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Great meal, great service. Hoping thay can increase capacity and re create the Palm feel we love
Nice ambiance /service and good drinks. The food wasn’t so great.
Very nice place, pricey but worth the cost. Quality and service were excellent.
Food was excellent. Service was slow. Management service was lacking. Not up to normal Palm standards (probably because the Palm chain was sold to Landrys).
Great food great steak! Great environment, our host was lovely. I just wish there was lobster Mac or some sort of Mac and cheese. Everything else was great.
Great night. Awesome food and service. Only disappointment was that they did not have the hash browns back on the menu.
In addition to its excellence in food, service and ambience, I now would have to add the compliance with all Covid 19 regulations for social distancing, wearing of masks and cleanliness, etc.
I love the Palm. Food amazing. Staff great. Highly recommend
This place has it all and then some
My steak was superb to say the least. Done just right, nice charred crust on the outside, juicy and flavorful.
We went to Palm West with vouchers from Club 837 but when we presented them we were told that the restaurant chain had been sold and that these vouchers were no longer being accepted. On top of that, we parked our car in the garage next door as the website had previously indicated that we would get discount parking. When we asked to have our parking receipt validated, the restaurant said that they were not making enough money to validate parking discounts so that courtesy was discontinued. And on top of it all, while the porterhouse steak was EXCELLENT and delicious, the green beans were not fully cooked to be al dente ... we took them home and cooked them more there, and of course they were likewise excellent. Overall, however, our visit was disappointing.
The food was amazing! Prefect service and a beautiful atmosphere.
Unfriendly atmosphere. Very poor value.
There were two in my party; my filet was prepared perfectly. My business partner had the veal parmigiana; he said it was great. Ambiance was subdued and the place was empty due to Covid. The staff seemed subdued also, but they were professional.
I’ve been to several Palm’s around the country, and the west side Manhattan Palm was not a disappointment.
The whole family went to celebrate a milestone and the unveiling of The Palm’s painting of the family on the wall in the main dining room. It was amazing night; our server Craig was great and as always the manager, John completes the whole package.
