Attentive great service and fantastic food.
We went to the Palm for its lobster special. The entire meal was delicious and plentiful. Our waiter wasn’t up to the restaurant’s standard but the assistant waiter who removed our lobster from its shells was excellent.
We both had a wonderful time!
Great cocktails, delightful servers and steaks done to perfection.
I can't wait to dine there again.
We dine at The Palm quite often; usually, we try to find one when we’re out of town. The food is always of good quality and finely prepared. The service was a bit off this time. It didn’t stop us from enjoying our dinner, but it wasn’t up to par.
We went for an early dinner following an afternoon play. The steak was fatty and the salad was watery. The sides were delicious , the ½ homemade potato chips/ onion rings and the dessert was yummy. The service was excellent as well.
Dined the night of the blackout. We weren’t able to have entrees , but they served us awesome salads and a delectable dessert. We returned the following evening and our entrees we’re luscious. Austin is a great waiter. ❤️
Annual lobster event was fabulous as usual. This was our third year, and it keeps on getting better.
We visit the Palm a few times a year, it’s service and food quality is always reliable. So we take our out of town friends. No surprises.
Best steak I ever had!
Try the summer Lobster special!!! Everything was well prepared.
Great lunch experience. Although the restaurant was crowded, we were promptly seated at a nice table, the service was excellent and we weren't rushed.
Dinner was excellent. Crab cocktail and Gigi Salad with Ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Excellent wine selection. Cocktails mixed perfectly and generous. Expensive but normal for a Manhattan steak house
Great service and fantastic food.
Food was not exceptional. Side dishes were warm not hot. Service was spotty. Not up to their standards.
Not bad... We went to The Palm for the first time this past week, before seeing a show at New World Stages. The restaurant itself is extremely dark....like dark dark. I know its a steakhouse, but its dark. Our server seemed like he just ran into work when he got our table because we first had a different server, then he rolled in like a storm. Took our order quick but when he went to the table next to us, he was giving them specials, which we never heard, and one of them, porter house for 2, we would have ordered. Later in the night he did apologize for the specials mix up because we did ask why we weren't given them.
The food itself was very good. 2 salads that were huge...ceasar had a bit too much dressing. 2 Ribeyes were the perfect temperature and very tasty with the usual sides that were also good.
Great, food, atmosphere and service. Perfect for pre theatre dinner.
convenient location to circle in square, good steak, decor interesting, ambiance not top of line fine dining but ok, price on high side but not crazy. waitress very good.
A new favorite!!
It took a while to get seated. Lighting at the table was too bright; aimed at my eyes. Steak was great.
Seeing a Broadway show
Pre-theater anniversary dinner. I believe I indicated it was our Anniversary on the reservation, but it was not acknowledged. We had the summer lobster special for two. The server offered to split it and shell it. My claw was big and came right out of the shell. The second one was “defective “. It appeared to be shredded when the server cracked it and she immediately said she would replace it. Everyone was very apologetic and the replacement claw came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, it was significantly smaller than the first claw. I took that one and gave my husband the larger claw.
Fabulous service and great food.
You know what you're getting at The Palm, and we went for an old favorite the summer Lobster Special. They were out of a 5-Lb upgrade (this was being split for 2). It took close to a half hour to get our drinks order after waiting to be seated for 5-10 minutes (the restaurant was not crowded). Then came an inordinate wait for our order especially the main course. I got angry (and apologized) and Chiara, the receptionist, who was wonderful, charming, and tactful, came over and she too apologized, citing a "computer malfunction" or something to that effect, and also promising a remedy that "would make me smile." Things improved after that. The "surprise" turned out to be not being charged for dessert, which we were too full to order anyway, so we went home with a piece of cheesecake. I'm not complaining about that, just that a relaxing evening that my wife and I were looking forward to was sort of ruined. And we weren't even going to a show that night, so we needed no expedited service. Finally, continuing with the computer glitches (no problem with the Open Table Reservation, however) I could not have my 837 Club Points registered. I have been going to the Palm for over 40 years (mostly Palm Too), and might continue. I hope this was just an anomaly.
We went for the summer lobster special and it didn't disappoint.
Great. 5 star plus on the steak
The food was amazing and was the atmosphere. I have a lot of friends and colleagues who have came here and loved it. I was very disappointed in our service. For the money you pay you would think you would get treated the same as everyone else. Our waiter did not come back not even once to ask us how our food was or if we needed anything. A different waiter took our plates and gave us our ticket. We definitely spent some good money while we were there we just wish we had better service.
Great. Pre theatre
The Palm West Side was a perfect dinner spot after our Sunday matinee! The meal was fabulous from the appetizers to dessert. The service was also impeccable, without pressure to hurry us along and yet attentive to our needs. We will definitely be back after our next matinee, especially for the warm cinnamon sugar donut holes!
We were treated like family. We haven’t been here for months. The waiter remembered what we like to drink and made a great suggestion for a vegetable.
I specified table #17 when I made the reservation as that's where we always sat and enjoyed our dining. Upon our arrival there was another party finishing up their dinner and paying their check at that table. We were asked to wait a few minutes which we did. After some time the hostess said that they were still sitting and asked if we wanted a booth non the side. We said okay. We were given menus and then waited approx. 20-30 minutes before the waiter came back to see what we wanted to drink. Our reservation was for 7:15PM and our order wasn't taken until after 8PM. Service was slow and we noticed that the party sitting at table #17 was still their drinking and talking. How long is a reasonable time to take over a table.
I asked for my steak well done and it came red. My son ask medium and it came bloody! I ordered a salad that never arrived, but it was a good thing when i realized they charged me 18$ for a plain bake potato!! 18$$$$. How many bags of potato can you buy with 18$! First time there...definitely last time! I don’t like the feeling of being ripped off!
Our server Jeff is great. He has become a friend. The entire staff from the women at the front door and Anthony, the Manager are gracious and caring. We had lobster which was unbelievable.
Always good quality food and top notch service. This was a quick meal before a show. The food was as good as it always is. The service was poor for the first time. It took way to long to order and get a drink. Then our food came out when we were eating our salad. where was our waiter. We finally saw him when he arrived at the table with our steak knives. We finished and asked for the check. He never asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee. And finally brought our check right away.
Birthday and pre-theatre dinner. Specials were not communicate well and both of us ended up with 27 ounce prime steak. Described as prime rib. Medium was more well done. Been to many great steak houses in NY, would not put this meal in the conversation.
Dinner was fine, we especially liked the Chop Chop salad and the sautéed spinach. Service was very attentive as well. BUT, when we tried to return after our show (which was right across the street), they were CLOSING. It was 11pm! On a Saturday night! In the theater district! Best part (which I didn’t notice until the next day, otherwise I’d have said something) . . They had an advertisement in the Playbill! Of the show we had just seen! Why put an ad in a Playbill if you’re going to be closed after the show ???
Good experience,plan on returning.
As always, the food was excellent, and our server was superb.
Always a great meal at the Palm. The combination of great food, service & ambiance can’t be beat. The Power Lunch is a steal at $30
Great food and very attentive service.
Food and service were great!
Always a graet evening ...Dee was excellent...we'd suggest you request her as your server.
