The Palm West Side

Food was outstanding!! Energy was high and it is what I would call a great New York dining experience. The only negative was the noise level was very high and not conducive to an intimate dining event. A little pricey but worth it. The carrot cake was the best I have ever had
Steak was cold. So was 1/2 and 1/2. So disappointed. I’m a Palm lifer and was crushed.
Seated 40 minutes late for reservations. Our waitress took an additional 10 minutes to take an order, and only took half before walking away saying “I’ll be right back”. We had a show at 8, and because of how late they were running we rushed through what should have been an enjoyable dinner. We won’t be back.
Too loud! Overcrowded!
Won’t go back unless going after the holidays and on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night! Otherwise unpleasant
The food and service are unbeatable. I love this restaurant.
Bartender was Great very attentive to our large Party 🤩
The food was incredible and perfect environment before a Broadway show. Filet mignon steak, potato gnocchi and cheesecake for dessert were all fantastic
It is always wonderful here!
The staff, food and attention to detail
Dinner before Christmas Show/Rockettes
Very disappointed, Very Noisy and very expensive for the quality of the food. We were sat at a table that was shoehorned next to 3 other tables with very little room to move. Asked for medium rare Filet only to get 3 of the four cooked rare which had to be sent back. I will say that the waiter was very nice and understanding. The next time we go to the Theater we will find another restaurant to dine at.
While our appetizers were great, the gnocchi side was inedible. It was completely burnt and had no taste. The hashbrowns were tasteless and our steaks were too charred on the outside.
We were a party of 5 on a Saturday night. The place was mobbed and pretty noisy. Our waiter Matthew was excellent. I had the 26-oz bone-in prime rib and it was amazing. Too much to finish but we took the rest in a doggy bag. The sides were delicious as well - garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and mushrooms. Reasonable wine list. All in, not a cheap night, but better than some other NYC steakhouses.
I have been to The Palm about 5 or 6 times and loved the food every time. I would recommend this restaurant
We had an amazing dinner. Then we walked next door to see Wicked!!
You won't meet a better staff and manager .
Travis and his staff possess a quality rarely attainable in the restaurant industry.
His concern for your satisfaction throughout the meal is always evident and is the main reason I will continue to frequent the number 1 steakhouse in Amrrica.
Excellent service and outstanding food
Good Experience, but with a very high noise.
The wedge salad my husband ordered did not come until his undercooked steak arrived and we asked for the salad. The grilled chicken atop my kale salad was bland. Our server was nowhere to be found. We had to ask the other staff to find him for us, twice. The noise level is so high, you have to yell to have a conversation. A very disappointing experience and we will NEVER return!
Waiter was awesome. BUT...
Requested “medium” lamb chops that came as purple raw meat. My chair was bumped by passers by no less than 40 times during our time there. Too many tables crammed in together. Also not so good acoustics as it was very loud and hard to have a conversation
Staff was great in combining a large group and providing time effective service.
Everything was mostly average. At that price point, I would have expected a little more. We were presented with a “surprise from the chef since it was our first time there”
but later charged $12 for that surprise. We spent over $300 for our meal and that was for a poorly prepared lamb dish and three vegetable sides. All of the veggies were delicious. We did have a good cup at your appetizer and decent crème brûlée for dessert. Service was so so. Again at this price point and for a Special occasion (birthday) which was identified I would’ve expected more..
Always a great meal at any of the Palm locations
A very good experience...good food, excellent service...just a bit noisy
Another great experience!
Really delicious steak - sides were amazing too. Would definitely return.
We had a few drinks first. The bartender was incredible. She had a great sense of humor and she was very attentive. We had the branzino, it was amazing. My father had the steak, he cut it with his fork, that’s how tender it was. Great night.
We visited the restaurant on our last night food was of an excellent standard and the waiting staff where very friendly & helpful.
Great service, food and overall experience. Server was attentive and service was efficiently delivered. This the 3rd time here over a number of years and I love the consistency!
We love The Palm, however, Saturday night's dinner was disappointing at best. Much too busy and very little attention. My husband's steak was purple. A few less tables would have made the experience much more pleasant.
The Palm was great!
The staff was nice and attentive but my double cut lamb chops arrived medium well and it was a meager portion for $50. Sides are also additional. They took it back, the manager apologized twice, and made it medium rare. The cut was much larger than the first. Problem was the others had finished their meals by then. The steamed spinach came as creamed spinach by mistake. When the bill arrived we had been charged twice for the lamb chops, which they then removed. Too many mistakes for an established NYC restaurant in the theater district.
We ordered a sirloin steak and lobster for the table; both were good and adequate to feed 4 adults who split a salad and shared a half & half. A waiter did spill a glass of water on my son-in-law.
As always, excellent service and excellent food. This is our favorite steakhouse, and it did not disappoint, again.
Ate here for our Thanksgiving dinner. Food was amazing. Service as well.
Disappointing Thanksgiving reservations through Open Table. We reserved a table for 3 on Thanksgiving. We showed up 10 minutes early. We were chided by the hostess for coming early. We stood in the entryway as they seated people who walked in ahead of us without reservations. We waited 45 minutes to be seated in a 2 person booth next to the kitchen in the back. My daughter squeezed in with me into a tiny booth bc they initially thought my 9 yr old could sit in the walk way but kept being hit by waitstaff.
Our waiter, who was kind to us thought her seating created a fire hazard and offered to give us the next available table, we declined this offer as we didn’t want to continue waiting. He did offer free dessert ( but was already included in our turkey dinner menu). Although he offered a complimentary extra dessert: carrot cake.
We were surprised when the bill came and he had actually charged us for the complimentary dessert. We had to point out the mistake. He apologized and did remove it from the bill.
I totally get it m. It was a crazy hectic day. However, we had planned for months for this meal as part of our amazing trip to NY. We know we were there with a child and did not appear to be the high rollers at this very trendy spot. It just sucks to be treated this small, when we paid the same as everyone else and planned accordingly. It was something I fully blame on the hostess. The actual meal was excellent. Despite the mistake, I thought our waiter was also very good.
In hindsight, I would have rather have gone out for Chinese food at a whole in the wall. It was the experience that counted here.
Thanksgiving it was busy and loud.
Amazing food. But so noisy—most likely because it was the thanksgiving crowds.
West side Palm makes you feel like you are eating at home. Service is outstanding and Anthony the restaurant manager is great. Thank you for having us.
What a shame this former 5 star restaurant has taken a turn, only barely earning 3 on this most recent visit. Following a matinee show, a friend & I went for an early dinner and were seated promptly. Water and bread were brought to the table quickly, although at 5:30, the restaurant wasn't packed. Our waitress came quickly, but when we declined cocktails, it was difficult to get her attention. We eventually ordered entrees and sides consisting of mixed wild mushrooms, lamb chops and the veal chop special, which was served on the VERY rare side. When I pointed this out (to someone other than our waitress who was nowhere to be found), the manager came over. While he said and did all the right things, as was pointed out to him in a steakhouse, especially one with the reputation enjoyed by The Palm, serving chops any way but perfectly is a fail. And he agreed. My friend and I ate our dinner separately since mine came out 10-15 minutes after hers. After all of that, the chop was mediocre at best. What a shame. Heard the owners are selling due to family discord, which probably accounts for some of this.
