Very upscale and well appointed resturant. Great staff and very good food. I will return in the future.
The challengers and competitors come and go, but the Palm continues to be the king of the DC steakhouses. They continue to improve the quality of their already-excellent food, and their staff knows how to make everyone feel like a very special guest. Give me a giant shrimp cocktail, a bone-in blackened rib-eye, some Palm fries, and a bottle of wine and I am in heaven.
The Palm is always great. Love the hustle and bustle, the energetic atmosphere.
The Palm is a classic steakhouse with delicious food and distinctive ambiance. Don't look for the latest trend or most sophisticated dishes - instead, expect superbly prepared steak and seafood with traditional sauces executed flawlessly. It's pricey and worth every penny.
When I first walked in the restaurant, the first thing that I said was WOW....NICE! I was with a group and my table was out in the sunroom area, which I thought was very intimate, quiet and personal. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! The service was EXCELLENT!!!! Over all, everything was DINOMITE!!!
Very $$, but it was worth it!!!
As always, the steaks were very, very good...the appetizer and sides were just average.
I've made reservations for my VP and guests. He was very pleased with the restaurant overall. He stated that he would definitely visit again. As a concierge people look for me to give the best reccomendations. The Palm is one of them. Thank you!
Prix Fixe Business lunch continues to be a favorite for me and my guests.
they accommodated our group work group dinner very well. we shall return.
The lobster was great, the steaks a bit on the dry side but overall delicious just not spectacular.
The Palm never disappoints. The service, the food, and the DC celebrity sightings were terrific.
Went for an early dinner on a Sunday night. Got seated at 6:30pm, we had cocktails, great salads, bring on the Steaks. We had a filet and a bone in Rib Eye, both were cooked wonderfully. Sides were spinach and potatoes with 3 cheese. Dessert was the fresh donuts. Our server Mike was great. Great Dinner we will be back! Went down to th National Christmas tree for look after dinner what a great night out.
You can't go wrong at The Palm whether it's a special occasion or a fun night out with friends. The waitstaff is awesome and the food always great and cooked just the way you want it. It's lively, fun and delicious. They make homemade donuts now that are really yummy and you must try!
Once again I had a wonderful experience at the Palm. I chose the business lunch and the meal was fantastic and the price more than reasonable. As always, Rick Weber provides the best service in just about any restaurant I have frequented in the DC area. I am actually taking associates there again twice this week.
For the past 9 years, every Christmas season, the six of us get together for an "out-of-this-world" lunch at the PALM. We start at 12:30 and usually don't finish until about 4pm and about a thousand dollars later. :-)
We're served great food and great wine... in a super atmosphere. It's the one time of the year where we order what we want throughout the entire afternoon. You can't beat their shrimp bruno and ribeye steaks!
The wait staff definitely know there stuff and take care of our every need. We can't imagine celebrating anywhere else.
As usual, great Business Man's lunch when we can get away from NoVa to spend some time in the city. Great value for the food, service, and ambiance.
Fabulous, consistent, friendly and outstanding food.
server was excellent, food was great
It had been a while since dining at a Palm restaurant. It was well worth the wait. The strip was cooked to a medium perfection, the goat cheese mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy with right amount of salt, and the creamed spinach was perfectly seasoned without being overpowered with nutmeg. As a special note, the sommelier recommended a Virginia Petit Syrah which really surprised and went perfectly with what was ordered. Overall, a exceptionally great experience.
The Bone in Ribeyes, 24 oz. are out of this world.. I could have eaten two !!
My husband and I traveled from the Eastern Shore of Maryland for this special night out. It was so worth the trip! The food was excellent as was the service!
What a great time. We took the family (kids included) to the palm for an early christmas celebration. Everything from the greeting to the good bye, coat person, etc was fantastic. Lot's of laughs with our very exceptional waiter Timothy. Staffing was at a superior level whereby everyone working looked very comfortable and happy no rushing around always another person to assist. We watched a large table of 12 be taken care of with ease.
Always fantastic! One of our favorite spots to dine.
A perfect dining experience everytime! Fabulous food: excellent steaks and lobsters and the Friday and Saturday prime rib specially is a real carnivore's treat. And the chicken parmagiana is the best I've tasted. The wait staff is attentive, professional, engaging and really quite humorous. They are a wonderful addition to the dinner conversation.
As a frequent diner at " The Palm" I am never disappointed!!! The food and service are EXCELLENT!!!
It lives up to it's history. The food is top-notch and the staff make you feel like you are just as important as anyone else in the restaurant.
None in our 10-member group (except my wife and me) had ever eaten at a Palm. Everyone was overwhelmed by the D.C. restaurant. The management considerately obliged my request to seat us by the wall picture of my late father (a Palm regular for many years). That helped make the night. If in a large group having a good time, the noise level matters less. It even blended in with our experience. Probably best to only order the large lobsters if you have the appetite. My wife got the surf and turf and the lobster tail was a might salty. The ahi tuna was very tasty. Most of us shared in the other's dishes which the large atmosphere invited. The D.C. Palm is ideal for special occasions and out-of-town family even if other trips are infrequent.
The Palm is most probably the best reataurant in the world!
My wife and I had a great Thanksgiving meal at the Palm.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Thanks for a GREAT EATING experience.
We had a fantastic birthday dinner at the Palm. It was a delicious dinner with a great casual atmosphere. The lobster/steak special was spectaular and the price was great. We will be back soon.
Food and service were excellent.
Food is reliable and high quality, but ambiance is loud. It's great for a birthday filled with celebration and singing.
Pre Fixe lunch and dinner deals are the best bargains and they do not reduce portion size for the pre-fixe deals. Not only does The Palm have extensive wine menu, they serve wine-by-glass in 6 oz and 9 oz pours. Everytime we have been there the service has always been very attentive. However, don't expect any extra attention if you are celebrating a special occassion. Our last reservation was to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. No acknowledgement from the Maitre d' or any other staff.
Go to The Palm. Restaurant trends come and go, The Palm is a classic and is thriving for a reason -- excellent food and service. We split the rib eye and a 4lbs. lobster -- perfect combo. The steak and lobster were perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding.
The Palm used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. No longer. The prices are high and the food is increasingly mediocre. For $28 I had a ribeye Ceasar Salad that was mostly greens and not a lot better than what you can get at Chopt Salad. The only thing that makes it from being a complete washout is the service - it is top notch.
We had a table of 10 and we experienced the most wonderful service. Food was excellent. We couldn't say enough good things about our time there.
Poor service for dinner. Way overpriced for what you get.
The table we were seated at was okay. People were way too close for our taste. The wine was priced well and the food was very good. The filet mignon was a bit "bland" for our tastes, but the lobster and sides were excellent. The key lime pie was fabulous. We definitely will be going back.
Filet was fabulous, but all the lobster tails at our table were over-salted. Love the atmosphere and the service.
