ALWAYS AMAZING!!! The Palm always have great service we have the best waitress ever.
Always a great meal. I wanted a steak. I git a very good bone in rib eye. Always a pleasure to come to the Palm. I will return soon.
Everything about our experience was wonderful. I decided to take my father out for a birthday lunch at The Palm, and we were greeted with each staff member wishing him a Happy Birthday. Between that, the incredibly fast service, and the perfectly-cooked steak and sides, it was a perfect lunch.
The best ate in usa
The Palm DC never disappoints! What a great meal to celebrate our anniversary!
I hadn’t been there in years but thought I’d give it a try for a business meeting. The food was great as I remembered and the meeting was perfect.
Wonderful food. Good service. Extremely noisy.
We’ve celebrated our last 27 wedding anniversaries at the Palm. We consider it a rare yet necessary treat to ourselves.
But I’ve noticed a lax in standards by customers. I’m not sure where the line needs to be drawn but gym shorts, tee shirts and the wearing of baseball caps while dining to me is unacceptable.
The Palm is my favorite restaurant in DC. The service is always fine and food is always exquisite.
I love the Palm the staff is always welcoming and kind to both myself and my mother.
Chuck is awesome
Birthday! It was fare. I was disappointed...
Classic DC establishment. Historic in every way and just fun to go to if you don't visit D.C. often. The two best things about The Palm (which should be for every restaurant) is the service and food.
My server Mike was excellent! The right amount of attention and interaction. The food was served extremely quickly by the runners who were also friendly and attentive.
The food was extremely solid. I had the filet and chicken parm which are their standards and both were as expected very good.
While I understand the style is one of the main attraction (the walls should always stay), the floors/furniture/decor are in need of replacement and could be replaced with replicas of what exists now. This I realize, is easier said than done in the middle of D.C. The value isnt great but is probably decent given that it is D.C. And you won't find much better value downtown.
All that being said, if you are in D.C. and not there often, it is always a extremely solid choice.
Very disappointed in the Palm.
We were celebrating my older son's imminent departure for college, and he loves steak.
We went early on a Sunday, so the restaurant was not even half-filled.
We asked for a booth and were seated directly across from the opening to the kitchen - no doors, so our view was of a dingy kitchen area. Not appetizing.
In the last year we have been to Charlie Palmer's and BLT.
The Palm ranks as a distant third to the two of them.
The steaks were ok.
The creamed spinach was nasty - too much nutmeg. And, I love creamed spinach.
The potatoes au gratin were gummy.
Oh, and the space between the seats and the table in the booth was surprisingly narrow.
Great 5lb lobster & soft shell crab. The service was outstanding and the wine was delicious.
Wonderful food and service. We enjoyed all aspects of the evening. We will definitely come back and become a regular customer.
Michael great Host - John fabulous server - 33 yrs and counting = long time 837 member and will continue
Great meal for a birthday dinner!
We've been going to the DC Palm for decades and always enjoy it. It's a special place on the Washington dining scene.
Great service and great steaks but the rest of the food did not justify this pricy restaurant
Great service, fun atmosphere, but at over $100 per person without wine, food was not really that great. Actually, it was mediocre...
My personal favorite! The food service and atmosphere are all excellent.
First rate fun and class. Welcoming, funny, classy, bipartisan place! Service was top hotch and food was perfect.
Burger is great!
My daughter was heading to Copenhagen the next day for six months and she requested the Palm for the lobster. We were also her upcoming birthday. The restaurant was not particularly busy so the service was good although inconsistent. Sometimes nowhere to be found, other times overbearing. That’s about the best I can say for our experience. I used to feel special when dining there and that added a lot to the experience. This time we might as well have been eating at ihop.
As for food, we all wound up ordering the lobster, big mistake. While I usually do enjoy their broiled lobsters, all four came out over cooked and dried out. Shame on us for not sending them back.
The best part of the meal was the lettuce wedges.
I first came to this Palm in 1976 while in college, and have dined at almost of their restaurants. I usually anticipate going. However, I’ve learned price is an issue in the absence of value. The Palm has lost its touch and the value just isn’t there, too bad. You can do much better at plenty of other steakhouses in DC.
Always terrific. Food top notch and everyone extremely professional!
Always an amazing meal, great people watching and fun! 🍸🥩
Great place for a special occasion. Food was a little under seasoned but still a nice experience. Great service
Our waiter Chuck was great. Maitre’d and front of house staff not the friendliest. Chuck and the food made up for it. Seems that there wasn’t a dress code.
Very disappointed, avoid at all cost. The food was terrible dry steak, greasy salmon, hard bread
Fun place with great food and service, and always enjoyable atmosphere.
Love the Palm, been going for over 20 years and everytime we try the competition R.C. we realize there is no competition, the Food is great and the service is fantastic,
The DC Palm never fails to deliver an excellent full dining experience. The whole Nova Scotia lobsters are outstanding including all their steaks and chops which the Palm is noted for.
Just fabulous! Everything about the food is cooked to perfection with large portions. Come hungry.
Seems to be past its prime, food and service as not as good as they used to be.
Ordered the lobster to share and was absolutely amazing! Never disappoints! Love love their lobster special and service is top notch.
I love The Palm! I treated my son for the lobster special, we ordered an additional 2 lbs so enjoyed a 6 lb lobster and it was amazing. I try and get to The Palm at least twice during their summer lobster promotion and I'm never disappointed. Michael is always so welcoming and our waiter is always the best. This restaurant is consistently excellent.
My daughter and I went for the final night of the Summer Lobster special. All the food was quite good, EXCEPT THE LOBSTER, which was tough as a boot and tasteless. And, although we were directly across a two person table from each other, we had to shout to talk. I’ve been to other Palms that are much better, and shall not return to this one.
The Lobster special was great as usual ! Everything was fresh and seasoned well. Becky and NeAngelo were especially attentive to our needs. We go early to avoid the crowd/noise and sit in the enclosed patio. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great as always! They knew what I wanted before I ordered it!
