The Palm restaurant in the Hamptons Ny has been a long time favorite. My husband and I have also tried the one in Orlando . We loved the hustle bustle atmosphere and although busy the waiter was attentive. We were disappointed with the clams casino. A piece of bacon on a clam could have been more to it. But where they shine. The veal cop was perfectly cooked and the flavor outstanding. The veal Marsala done right with tender veal and the sauce laced with a hint of Marsala. All said they did not disappoint.
We had a party of 8 so sat in the glass room at front of restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet, and we had a perfect time with a perfect meal. Worth the money if you want some quality time.
As always; great food and fantastic friendly service.
Very energetic, noisy, but comfortable with it all. Service is so good, waiters extremely friendly, food is fantastic, and my wife and I always enjoy the dining experience at The Palm.
Staff get together.
Superb restaurant, have been before and each time the service and atmosphere are great!
fabulous, great waiter, food perfection. Love the maitre de, very charimsmatic.
Always a great time! Superb service, food, and a LARGE selection of wines and specialty drinks. The bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp cocktail with their atomic horseradish, NY strip steak, and fresh lobster are the best in town!
The Palm is the greatest! Although know for steaks, don’t sleep on the chicken parmigiana!
The food, service and the Palm’s special Manhattan drinks were exceptional. John was our waiter and he, as always, was perfect. Always there when needed and served us with some great stories.
Consistently great steak, salad, and drinks, combined with excellent and friendly service.
Hard to beat their power lunch. Excellent food at a reasonable price.
This review is not really a one-time assessment or impression of the restaurant. My family started going to the D.C. Palm in the early '70s not long after the restaurant opened. My father knew one of the initial investors who told him about it when they had a chance meeting at the Miami airport. Ray Jacomo initially and then his brother Tommy when he assumed management of the restaurant were always very considerate of my dad. He walked with crutches and braces from having polio and we always got a table up front so he'd have a shorter distance to walk. We went to the Palm so often when we had family in town and on so many other occasions over the years. The memorial for each of my parents was at the restaurant, thanks very much to Tommy. My father's picture is on the wall now which he also helped make possible. My wife and I took my parents-in-law who moved here from the Philippines and had never been to a restaurant anywhere approaching the Palm. They ordered mahi-mahi which my father-in-law used to catch when he was a fisherman on the South China Sea. They never met my parents but had a chance to sit across from my dad's likeness and feel as though he could see them. I've been to other Palms but nowhere else really captures the feel of the D.C. institution. I would recommend it to anyone. Be prepared for a loud place but that is also because so many people there are having a joyful time. For anyone looking for non-meat options there are seafood dishes. It is a very celebratory kind of environment and you never know who you might see there too. It remains part of Washington and the service can't really be topped. Enjoy for our sake!
Excellent, as always. No complaints at all. Server was courteous, prompt and efficient. Food was fantastic. and ambiance was top of the line.
I ordered the 4 pound lobster, but was disappointed in the actual amount of lobster meat. The lobster is served split, and one half seemed smaller than the other. I wondered if the two halves were from the same lobster. However, the lobster was cooked nicely. I recommend adding the option of having the whole lobster (without being served split.)
I had been looking forward to going to The Palm for years and it met all of my high expectations. Possibly the best steak and side dishes I have ever had. I was a bit concerned when I received a phone call reminding us that our late reservation (10:15) was very close to the time that the kitchen closed (10:30), wondering if they were trying to hint at something. However, other than the parking valet shutting down as we drove up (which was no problem as he parked our car directly in front of the restaurant and gave us the keys) there wasn't a single wrinkle in the service. In fact, our server Rubio, was superior. We happened to be there on the day that the President George H.W. Bush passed away. Knowing that The Palm had been one of his favorite restaurants, we chatted with Rubio about the history of President and the restaurant. He shared some fun facts and we enjoyed the conversation with him. Our only negative was that two women in an adjacent booth had obviously over-imbibed and were talking VERY loudly and somewhat obnoxiously. The staff clearly recognized the issue and shot them disapproving glances,Palm pic but didn't intercede. Before our meal ended they finally left and it was just a minor annoyance. In general, we can't recommend The Palm highly enough.
The server, Reggie, was superb and the meal was excellent. Enjoyed everything.
Always friendly attentive service. Reliably excellent food. Truly a special place for business personal dinner! Been my go to place in DC for decades.
Excellent Steak, great service, as usual!
Great food and service
Always the best
LaDawn was. FANTASTIC server! Great knowledge of the wine list and overall made my girlfriends birthday very special! Huge thanks to the staff at the Palm!!!!
Went for a birthday and looking forward to it, as it had been a couple of years since we last ate there. Food was not as good as in our previous 20-30 visits. They also seated everyone in a small section even though the restaurant was over half empty and a party behind us made it crowded and noisy with my chair/ purse knocked repeatedly. We were seated first and seriously considered asking to move but we are already being served food. Won’t be back anytime soon. Service in general was okay but overall experience very disappointing. This used to be our go to for birthday/Anniversary etc
Missed the Caesar Salad because of romaine recall, but the half and half (fried potatoes and onion) was extra crispy which was a pleasant upgrade. Steaks were done perfectly. We had Thanksgiving without the cleanup, but plenty of leftovers (Palm portions are generous, as are the pours.)
This is the second year in a row my wife and I have spent Thanksgiving here at The Palm. We’ve ordered the New York Prime Double-cut and one again it was amazing. Thank you to the General Manager Michael and his staff for their dedication to such an amazing experience with the Palm.
We have been going to The Palm for Thanksgiving dinner for ten years now. We are never disappointed. This year we had a new waiter named Reggie (it was only his second day after completing training) and he was fantastic...friendly and professional. We will ask for him again next year!
Birthday dinner. Few people were there and it was relatively quiet. Good food.
Made our anniversary extra special with great service and excellent food
Great service and atmosphere. Mediocre food. Multiple people agreed
The Palm is always a great night out. Predictably consistent and service is exceptional. Price point is higher than others for similar items, but that should not be a worry if you are dining out at this type of restaurant
The Palm can be a bit noisy with the open dining room, but the food and service are excellent.
Wonderful restaurant. Incredible food. Great drinks. Wonderful service. Waited for a long time to get bill. I would go back.
Excellent for lunch - great menu options and attentive staff
We always ask for John as our server, have been since the 80s.
Our waiter, Chuck, was absolutely amazing and handled my party very well.
Have been going to the Palm restaurants for over 30 years and love the DC Palm. Chuck our server is the best.
A bit loud inside but we could still hear each other fine. Our servers were all excellent and the food was magnificent. I think the best lamb chops I've ever had? The men tried the bisque with sherry in it and I had an appetizer salad, which was plentiful and delicious. We all got dessert which was not the best I've ever had but "worth the calories." Very nice and classy place to enjoy dinner, I'm sure we'll be back.
I’m a regular during the week more than the weekend. Sunday nights you get the same great attention and cooking, but it’s just a bit quieter. My most regular place in DC.
Bday was awesome!!!!!!
