I was disappointed at first, but our main entree almost made up for it. To start, I got a cocktail that was obviously missing a main ingredient. It was corrected quickly. Then we ordered a seafood dish as an appetizer, and the fish was obviously old and bad. Like, gag worthy. At this point I feel like we're "those people" that just complain about everything, and I felt really bad having to bring up a second issue to the server. Typically if something minor goes wrong we just don't say anything and eat the meal anyway, but for a restaurant of this caliber to serve two inedible things in a row was very frustrating. Also, the restaurant was SO loud. Like, sports bar on a major game night loud. And do not expect any kind of social distancing.
All that being said, we have zero complaints about our server. He was amazing and addressed the issues very quickly. Our main entrees were delicious, thankfully.
I’ve dined here at least 60 times over the years and all I can continue to say is Magnificent! My favorite restaurant in DC for dinner!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The excellent service matched the delicious cuisine.
The power lunch needs to have the shrimp bucatini put back on it and change the catch of the day more
I was immediately seated. Ordered 15 minutes later. I didnt receive my food until 50 mins later. The waiter was not attentive until I expressed disdain for the way my appetizer was dropped off and its presentation. Definitely wont be going back.
Our server was superb, friendly, there when you wanted him and not when when not. Great indoor/outdoor seating.
Good as aLways
We sat at the bar to have a drink before our reservation was ready, but the bartender was so fun and engaging we decided to stay there for our whole meal! She was wonderful... knew the menu, made great suggestions and fabulous cocktails! I only wish I could remember her name to recommend her to others.
My Boss came from out of state they loved it I was not there he said he will comeback in two weeks they will come again.
love of my life and I had dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Service impeccable. Food incredible. Drinks perfect. Outstanding night.
Always great food, service that is spectacular and an overall great evening.
They have removed too many items from the current menu while also raising prices. Too few items for me to enjoy at née higher prices since my favorites are now gone. I will have to go elsewhere now for special meals palm is now just another overpriced steak house.
the best i love this place
Tasty food. Comfortable seating. Exquisite service- highly recommend- loved it
Great. Great steaks. Great lobster. Great wine. Great service
I had a wonderful experience. The food was great, and the service was even better! This was my best dining experience in DC.
Food was excellent as always. Service was good. Surprised to see the restaurant 3/4 full.. used to be impossible to get a table on a Saturday night. Maybe they need launch a new marketing campaign to bring back the vibe from its hay day.
I went for my birthday and got the power lunch special. They had great service and food.
The Palms as a chain has certainly gone downhill. The food was bland and mediocre. There are far better choices.
Great service and food.
I lived in th DC area for 30yr until I moved away 10yr ago. The Palm was always a favorite place.
The young lady behind the bar could not have been more friendly & professional.
Ahen seated, I was fortunate to have one of the best waiters in the business.
I ordered, and paid for, a 4lb lobster. (There was a "special" being offered: 4lb for price of 3lb, 3lb for price of 2lb, etc)
The lobster I was served was barely 2lb.
Food is delicious. Wait staff is very efficient and goes out of their way to provide superior service.
Once again, the food, the service and the atmosphere was perfect.
Classic establishment with good steaks! Enjoyed the restaurant week menu.
We had both been here before, but it was still as great as we remembered—which can be tough.
Food was good but I was NOT impressed with their restaurant week specials. It's like they didn't want any new customers. The waiter was amazing!
Loved it! First time to eat at Palm. My Caesar salad was perfect, and my eggplant parma was the best I've ever had (my own included!). Our server (Mike) was wonderful - he made us feel like family dropping in for lunch! We'll be back!
Outstanding service and some of the best steak on the east coast! Highly recommend.
Consistently great service and great food!
Amazing service from end to end!! I called the restaurant when they were close to coordinate a surprise for my lady. They not only accommodated me, but made sure the flowers remained fresh.
Frank the bartender was excellent as always and our Waiter Chuck did a great job.
It was fun and enjoyable evening.
The service was very slow and the food was too salty. Also there were no health friendly items.
The Palm committed possibly one of the greatest errors when two people are meeting for lunch under a named reservation. I arrived ten minutes early for the Open Table reservation, stated my name (which the reservation was under), stated I was meeting a guest, and I was seated. Unbeknownst to me, my guest arrived either shortly before or shortly after me, and was seated in another part of the restaurant. It was not until 15 minutes after our reservation time and we were both seated separately (and fiddling with our thumbs) did I text my guest to see if possibly something had gone awry with our plans. It was then that the restaurant host quickly brought my guest to my table. The Palm, of all restaurants, should know better.
A wonderful night celebrating a cherished friend's wish for dinner at the Palm. The staff treated us with care and made it a special night-Thank you
Love our visits to the Palm WDC! Reconnected with a friend who works there and made our birthday evening even more lovely. Food was spot on and prepared gorgeously! Thank you Palm for always being you!
Great food, Great Service. Just west there was a steak and salad option that had option for a smaller size for those watching their health.
My favorite restaurant in D.C.! I go there with my partner constantly, and, finally for the first time, went there with friends. Couldn’t have asked for better service, nor a kinder waitress. Hoping to go back soon!
Consistently great service and great food! The apps, the steaks, and the sides are amazing.
Service was either lacking or very slow. Food unfortunately great. Overcooked to the point of being plasticky rubbery. Just left the whole plate. No bread or anything.
All in all not great
This was my last time visiting what was once a great restaurant. As for this visit, we had a bartender who was too busy, a waitress who vanished, and a rare steak that should have been medium well. I don’t blame individuals as any night can be tough, but it’s now my second time in a row where I had to send a steak back for being undercooked. The gentleman I was with tonight is a medium rare fan and he said his steak was like it was still on the cow. I know one person’s view doesn’t matter, but I’m a 35-year old loyal customer who used to bring clients and friends. Good luck in the future.
