Great food as always, our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for a a great dinner!
Through pandemic venue was expectedly quiet, Tomahawk steak was bone heavy making the meat smaller probably less than 24 ounces. $135.
The seafood posillopo came salty, lobster pieces cold and mussels not fresh. Scallops were best part. Understand slow business impacts, but at these prices, alterations should be made to maintain the level their price points demand. $70
Worst place for dinner. The food is overrated. The steak was gross.
Honestly for a top tier restaurant I was extremely disappointed with service. I’m a huge DMV Foodie and I hate to compare, but I went to Ocean Prime the weekend before and assumed the same service should be matched at The Palm. We ordered drinks after about 7 min of sitting. The drinks came then it took about 14 min for are waiter to come Acknowledge that we were ready to put in an Appetizer. With Covid it clearly is not busy enough to be sitting with a water to wait that long unacceptable to me for a $400 Bill. I Expected the service to be extremely better that what I was given, for what I had put out with no problem. The food was good! But at a place like this it’s a given! That is why I gave it such a bad review (Star) it sucks because I had such high expectations for this place and planned to attend with business deals.
John(our waiter) was great
Our Valentine’s Day evening was romantic and the food was prepared to perfection!
Our server was great and the food was extraordinary!!
Wonderful service! Food was very good. Excellent overall experience!
In general, the food at the Palm is rarely disappointing. One nice touch is that they heat their plates which allows you to enjoy before it cools off too much during the meal. We enjoyed the lamb and the seafood mixed dish (forgot the name). Side dishes are always good as well but this is the first time where a waiter asked if we preferred a small or large side dish. We didn't know there was a choice so I have to assume that we have always been brought the large side dishes, which meant always taking leftovers home. Nothing wrong about enjoying them at home again. Our waiter, who we've never had serve us before since coming to the Palm over the last 40 years, was a complete delight. He was sufficiently friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We spoke about Heartburn, which we had never heard of before, and it made for pleasant conversation during the meal. All in all, the meal was very good because of everything. Usually one of the two meals is never quite "there," but tonight both were enjoyable. No complaints whatsoever. Will continue to enjoy the Palm as one of our favorite places to escape to for a pleasant meal. Hope we get the same waiter next time, and the next time and the next time. What we really want is one of his wife's pies. haha
Our third anniversary of first date.
Snowy Wednesday night during pandemic. Only three other couples at early (5:00) dinner.
The restaurant week menu was almost identical to the power lunch option offered on the regular lunch menu. Also, restaurant week is known for offering three courses, while we were offered only two courses. This was very disappointing. While sitting by the window we observed a large rat come up to the window. Rat control is needed on their premises.
I came to the Palm for Restaurant Week, and the menu was phenomenal. Three course menu for $55, which was well worth it (each item on the regular menu started at $30 and up). They specialize in steak, and service is impeccable. My girlfriend and I sat in their glass extension hub (which was heated), and the ambience was beautiful amongst watching people walk up 19th St. I can't wait to come back for more special events!
Service was exceptional and the food delicious!
I have been going to the Palm for 35 years. Worst meal I have ever had. The lobster was tasteless and nearly rancid. The vegetable were horrible. The steak tasteless. I have had every birthday and major event there I will not be going back. It was awful
Ordered restaurant week surf and turf. My steak was so tiny and there may have been 2 rice crispy pieces of lobster but they didn’t fail
With the cherries
Always a great dining experience every way!
I had a great experience here, the food was fantastic
We did the t-bone for 2 and requested it be medium rare. Steak came out extremely rare. This should’ve been picked up by the cook who sliced it for us in the kitchen.
Pandemic time but The Palm has an open-air patio with heaters, blankets and very friendly service. We had a ball. Thank you.
Food was good however the lack of warmth and kindness on behalf of the staff was very disappointing
I would caustically return - just dumbfounded by the attitude of the staff - when everyone is in need of support and business during this difficult period
Great to see our friends and they took all the precautions during covid.
It was the perfect place to celebrate my hubby's birthday. We loved the food and hospitality. Definitely going back!!
I got a bad stomach virus after eating there. They were also ill-equipped to serve outdoors. They made special accommodations for two white couples that they weren’t willing to make for me; and the food was honestly was in no way worth the entire experience. Worst $200 I’ve spent in DC. Would not encourage anyone to go.
Because of COVID-19 it’s understandable but I would ever want to eat outside again But I’m Thankful and Enjoyed My Birthday
Wonderful atmosphere and the filet was delicious and flavorful
DC was shut down for all indoor dining on Christmas but the palm offered heaters and our server even gave me a blanket. It was a lovely experience considering the circumstances
Great food with truly outstanding service, a tough combination to beat
We always love the Palm - great steaks, chicken and veal parm, and the service is always superb!
The service was excellent as always
While Covid limited the normal excitement of the Palm, the food was superb, the service (John) was second to none and we thoroughly enjoyed our birthday evening!
The Ribeye was fantastic but the other 3 people had the Turkey dinner(Thanksgiving)and it was dry and blah.
Our waiter, Reggie, was fantastic and the place itself was very nice.
Thanksgiving at the Palm with my family was wonderful!
The Palm in DuPont Circle is my favorite DC dinner spot. Relaxed, unpretentious, in a word, "civilized." Excellent Martini, by the way, which often makes all the difference. Love the place. SD
so disappointed. the palm in d.c. has always been our go to celebration point for business deals. Jimmy and Tony were GREAT. but they were unfortunately understaffed. I had heard that new ownership took over in 2020. it shows as I doubt we will go back despite the fantastic service. note to ownership: if you can support your staff, then you probably shouldn't be in the business in the first place.
Fantastic- service was impeccable and the food delicious.
Definitely a DC institution and for good reason. Everything was just perfect AND delicious!
The Palm is always a wonderful place to dine. I never tire of it.
Given Covid issues, the evening was spectacular. The service was 5 star. Honestly, it was the best meal I've ever had a the Palm, and I've had many a meal there.
The Palm consistent provided an excellent dining experience. The menu, the wine list, the food and the service are alway great!
The Palm is a DC staple and is never disappointing. The staff is stellar!
