The Palm Too

We ordered a strip steak and lamb chops. Both were great. Service was great. Seated on time and wait staff was friendly and helpful.
No surprises. I've been coming for years- not as often as the past when I lived in NYC. Now a special treat. When the broiled lobster is done to perfection (75-80%) of the time, it is truly a transcendent experience. their half and half, fried onions and thin sliced potatoes, is legendary. Everything has changed in the city- the original Palm across the street is gone- the restaurant used to be hard to squeeze in the door. Here's hoping palm Too outlasts me.
The Palm has always been my favorite restaurant. Food and service always great. It's been a few months since I've been there, but based on yesterday's experience, I couldn't recommend it. It's like it was a different restaurant....new management? We've always gone for the lunch special and that menu was completely revamped and reduced. Not as many options and dessert was eliminated. All that and the price was increased. My steak was overcooked and that's never happened at The Palm.
The food was great. The fish special was superb. The filet mignon great, as usual. They forgot to bring bread to the table.
It is always fun to dine at The Palm! We enjoyed sharing the evening with a friend in town from Paris.
Palm 2 is in our opinion the best of the Palm restaurants in the US.
All the waiters have been there for many years and know how to get it done.
The food is consistent, portions are large.
Many steak houses in New York bu we keep returning to this one for over 40 years
Good food, accommodating staff. Had a problem with our order not being processed correctly but it was handled to our liking. Will return
Always great. Palm Too is reliable for delicious food and caring service
Inconsistent is the name of the game here. One visit the food is perfect, the next they don't have key steaks (ribeye!) and the steaks are not cooked correctly (medium rare served warm and dry, black and blue served medium). The waiter was great, but he needed help, we should not have to ask for water multiple times.
The maitre'd Gus Lusadi & the superb veteran waitstaff (Carlo, Pasquali, Biagio & Franco) make the Palm Too the very special & memorable place it was built on.
The maitre D’s Gus and John were extremely friendly and helpful, the wait staff, Cristiano and Franco took great care of everything we needed and the support staff did a great job clearing and cleaning the table. The food was cooked to perfection as usual.
Always love being there !
We had a large group of 11. Service was extraordinary. Food, as always was great. Just a wonderful time
Been many time, will go again many times. A NYC classic!
Excellent service. The staff treated us like royalty. The food was beyond delicious- the steak melted in my mouth and the lobster truffle butter sauce was the tastiest. The atmosphere is so clubby old New York.
Sea Bass and Crab cakes were delicious. Creme brûlée was a must!!!!
It was just okay.
We love our five pound lobsters .
The management and the wait staff are always so friendly and accommodating .
We especially love Pasquale the waiter.
As good as always.
The Palm Too is a restaurant that is in complete decline.
Always love being there!!
Back to being tops! Maybe the best steak house in NYC!
The Porterhouse was amazing, but should be for $125 - but I highly recommend. Caesar salad was delicious (make sure to get the anchovies on it), and so was the creamed spinach. Service was excellent until the restaurant got busy, then we had a problem getting our check, long wait. Also, had to send back the Cream Brulee, it was warm and watery. Very disappointing. Service removed the wrong dessert and kept the Cream Brulee on it. Because of the long wait on the check, we just paid the check and left. Overall, a great restaurant, but because of the prices, attention to detail was lacking and needs improvement.
My favorite restaurant in Manhattan! First time I was at Palm Too was over 40 years ago. You cannot get a better Caesar Salad anywhere!! The lobsters are succulent and the meat has a lovely flavor and texture. And, the service is excellent and always with a smile.
Took a group of colleagues here at 6:15pm. The colleagues are in their early 30s and mostly first timers at the Palm. We were mostly surrounded by seniors, which is the norm at the Palm these days. About 30 minutes in a manager came over and asked us to use our “indoor voices.” To say the least this will be the last time we go here. When you go out to a steakhouse in Manhattan you expect some energy.
Extraordinary as always. Great service and unforgettable lobster
We thoroughly enjoyed the 4-lb summer lobster special on its last day of being offered. As usual, it was spot on. Lobster is one of the main reasons we have been going to the Palm as regulars since 2008, and as 837 Club members since 2010. We created our own surf & turf by adding an order of double-cut lamb rib chops. We are very picky when it comes to lamb. The lamb here is not gamy and was cooked as ordered (medium, which really brings out the lamb flavor) and seasoned just right. The baked clams oreganata appetizer was probably the best we've ever had.
We first discovered The Palm in its iconic Forum Shops location (Las Vegas, 2002) when the chef whipped up a corn chowder (off-menu) just for my mother who had some extreme dietary restrictions at the time. On this trip, we finally got to dine at an NYC Palm, adding to our times at Chicago, Denver, Atlanta and Vegas locations.
Honestly disappointed. Came for the steak, which ended up over cooked. They replaced it but the second was still over cooked. Fries were nice, but note that it is an extremely large portion for 2/3 people to share. Calamari and Cesar salad were great. Definitely overpriced for what I got.
We received our meals 50 minutes after a table that ordered after us. We told two maitre D who promised to inquire about the delay Neither of them returned to give us a reason nor was our food served. We were not offered a drink a promise of dessert or an explanation We sat and watched and waited A waiter from another table saw our dismay and said our food would be out soon. The food finally came
The table that was served before us complained about the weight of their lobsters The maitre d resolved their problem by sending more than one lobster claw for each of them!
So we ate our food and that table was still eating lobster that was being served to them They had so much lobster that they left with a shopping bag of lobster!
We have been coming to this restaurant for more than 25 years and don’t know if we’ll be back considering that we travel from Long Island!
Almost Perfect food and service. Lobster special great value and lobsters sweet and tender and huge. We had Caesar salads and the half and half. Delicious. The chocolate cake was not as good as I remembered. Maybe not fresh or just not as good chocolate used.
Dependable and tasty as always.
One of our favorite restaurants for the last 50 years. We could not ask for more from a restaurant.
Always great. Just a little off Thursday night. Missed a few things, wrong vodka, broiled not steamed lobster, etc.
The steamed lobster dinner was fab!
Our waiter Nick was superb. He was knowledgeable and a true professional. We were well taken care of. The lobster dinner is an excellent value. Probably the beat in NYC. Food was excellent.
Excellent food and service. Strongly recommend to all.
Just your classic steakhouse. In August they have a lobster special that is actually reasonable.
Not good service.
