We were really disappointed in the quality of the food. The filet was tough, green beans were way over cooked, and the bread was dry/stale. We expected more from The Palm. Our previous experience wasn’t anything to write home about either, but we decided to give it another chance. I doubt we will return.

The food was very good. A little surprised when I asked about gluten free bread and all I got in response was "No". Not even a mention of the gluten free desert they offered, which we did order later and enjoy. It is fairly expensive and we didn't get the water refill we asked for either. All in all we may try the competitor restaurant located next door on our next dinner/concert.

Had the filet mignon Oscar style, the asparagus was cold, the steak was bleeding even though it was to be medium...this is my go to dish when dining out. However, I would not ever order this meal at this resteraunt again.

Remarkable meal at this iconic restaurant consistently excellent in virtually every city. This location was a stand out with food up to the high standards of The Palm but service beyond our expectations. As we waited on the patio for our table to be prepared, the server provided seat cushions to ensure our ultimate comfort. We were promptly seated in a quiet banquet. Our server, Andrea, was a pro at making us feel special. She knew the menu and was not shy about making recommendations when asked. She served with great care, accompanied by another server who cut our steaks expertly. She helped us reactivate our Palm 837 frequency card and provided us with a list of must see attractions in the city, all of which were her personal favorites. When we returned home and our card arrived, it included a personal note from Andrea. A perfect meal, great ambiance and extraordinary service made for a beyond memorable dining experience.

My brother was in town and wanted to go to some nice restaurants. He had gone to Bohanan‘s the day before, so my wife and I took him to the Palm. He said the steak at the Palm was much better and more flavorful than the one at Bohannons. We all loved our meal .

Overall, I was disappointed my experience at the Palm in San Antonio. I've dined at the Palm several times around the country, and most often in New York. As such, I've come to expect a level of service, quality and professionalism that supports the Palm's reputation and price point. The waiter was inattentive and brusque--not atypical at a high energy steakhouse, but at least they are friendly pros at Peter Luger's. My steak was served lukewarm on the outside. How does this happen? Furthermore, it may have been one of the most poorly selected prime cuts of NY strip I have encountered. It is fair to expect a lot from the service and food quality at the Palm, and the Palm in San Antonio failed on both fronts.

The evening of our visit the food took nearly 2 hours. Perhaps there was an issue in the kitchen, as it seemed the entire restaurant did not have food for an extended period.

The stakes we ordered were not worth the money we paid for them. One was tough and the other was not cooked the way I wanted. The both had no teats at all. We were very disappointed with the meal and the price we paid to have food not cooked well.

Traffic getting to and outside The Palm, San Antonio, was HORRIFIC. The valet service was overwhelmed and chaotic. I had to let my fellow dinner guests off outside the restaurant and drive around the block, park alongside the curb in a “No Parking” zone . I had to walk back to the restaurant’s valet service, give the attendant my key-fob and explain to him where I’d left the car as I was instructed to do.
Inside the restaurant was very bustling and busy. The food and service were very good but we felt “hurried”.

Fantastic service from start to finish for party of 12 in private room. The private room was suggested by The Palm after the Open Table reservation was made, and I am so glad that I took them up on the offer at a very reasonable up-charge.

The food and wine pairings were delicious and staff help with selection and distribution of appetizers was appreciated. Antoine gave us plenty of attention without interrupting what was a lively and warm conversational meeting.

I highly recommend The Palm for business functions of this size, and where exceptional food, service, and ambiance are appreciated.

We went before our show for dinner.
Wait staff was very attentive especially knowing we were on a schedule. Our table order for the fam was Veal parm, chicken parm & steak and au gratin potatoes everything was delicious! Great overall experience don't know why we do not go very often but guess we'll have to change that!

The Palm San Antonio is not at all like the other Palm restaurants in LA, Las Vegas, Dallas (now closed), Washington or New York. The food and service were disappointing and, while a Wednesday night might not be the best example, the place was deservedly empty. Strange lack of interest from the waiter. Had I not seen the signage I would have thought I was in just another mediocre, over-priced steak house. Someone is not doing his/her job on quality assurance and brand maintenance.
