The Palm San Antonio

Made reservation for my dads birthday and he was extremely pleased with the whole experience.
When I eat at The Palm, I expect a certain experience. This location was far below what I would expect. The service was below expectation. The ambiance was below expectation. The food was average. My wife and I both cook The Palm filet at home better than it was prepared at this location. This location seemed to cater to the tourist level of food. I expect more from The Palm. This locations manager needs to go to Houston and see what I am talking about. Good Luck!
Always enjoy eating at The Palm! Good food and great service.
Very good meal, as always. Might have been the best mahi-mahi I have ever had.
The Palm was amazing as usual! Food and service were superb! Everyone goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend The Palm for fine dining.
Everything was perfect. The bacon appetizer was amazing. Caesar salad was just okay and a bit overpriced. The bone marrow infused steak was delicious as were the crab cakes. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful dinner. The food and the service were outstanding.
Ezra was absolutely phenomenal! His service and attention to detail was beyond expectations. The food was equally exceptional; the fillet, cooked to perfection and the sea bass done to the pallet’s delight.
I wanted a place to enjoy dinner on my own, close to my hotel, without any drama. The Palm provided just what I needed. I enjoyed their lobster bisque, which is always a favorite of mine. I also had the baby kale salad, which had a lemon vinaigrette. The portion was generous, and the greens were tasty and fresh; then I enjoyed the small portion of their garlic whipped potatoes, which were definitely garlicky. Yum! They have Moët and Chandon champagne by the glass, which was a nice complement to the meal.
As usual, everything was wonderful. The service was excellent, food was delicious and our cappuccinos at the end of the meal were the best I've had in a long time. Thank you!!
Whitney did an outstanding job with our group. She & the team were very attentive & made us look great to our clients.
Was there for client dinner with 10 guests. Service was great. appetizers were good. Steak temp was correct flavor was less than average. Good location. Nice wine list.
Love the Palm and visit this one every time we are in San Antonio... Love it.
Celebrating our 25th Anniversary and it was a beautiful evening. Food was excellent. Lobster bisque was perfectly seasoned and John’s wedge salad was a masterpiece! His filet and my strip steak were cooked perfectly.
Service was beyond reproach - friendly but not overbearing.
Quiet and romantic. A truly lovely evening. Thank you!
We Love the Palm! It is our go to for date night and special occasions. This was a busy night because there was a show across the street so it was a bit noisy. But overall the staff was attentive and our food was delicious like always.
Excellent filet, melted in your mouth! Also, mushroom risotto, crab cakes and scallops were very tasty. Noise is very good, especially if you are a bit older. Highly recommend!
The attention to detail not up to par that night for a high end restaurant. Server forgot about us for a good 15 min before I had to flag him down to get us water and remind him of our request for bread. The mushroom risotto was plain and unremarkable. The filets were good, but took my wife three times to get to a medium plus. The manager was nice and asked about our experience afterwards.
We have been hearing about the Palm for many years and were finally able to visit for an anniversary dinner. I must admit, we were a bit disappointed - Food was good, but not fantastic. I had the large filet and it was pretty disappointing. Not the greatest cut of meat. One should not have large areas of gristle in a $50+ cut of meat. Other reviews and comments seem to reflect that they may currently be in a management transition and in a bit of disarray. This would certainly explain our less than stellar experience.
We won't be hurrying back...
Great location, great food and great for a date night before catching a show at the majestic.
The palm is always a great place to dine. The gm Mr Sanchez will greet you and has you feel as you are family. Last nights dinner was fantastic, I had a new server. His name was Alejandro. Alejandro was just amazing. His attention to detail and quickness from making sure the food was perfect to our wine glass or water never became empty. Tho Alejandro is a little soft spoken he will charm you with his service. What we absolutely loved about him was he was not overbearing he was present but we never noticed it because he knows exactly when and how to approach the table with out ruining conversations. Rosa and I had a magnificent night and think I was cause of the management and the wonderful service of Alejandro.
Fantastic restaurant that should not be missed one in San Antonio. I cannot say enough about the service and food. Everything was first class.
Our Food took forever to come out.The Server had to check back with the Chef several times .
My wife and I have bad luck when it comes to restaurants, almost always horrible service and incorrect orders. This was exactly the opposite. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Definitely recommend.
great ambiance, impeccable service. Christopher greeted us with the history of The Palm. Alejandro and Chance kept us entertained and gave us a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something different in a restaurant experience.
New york strip had 2 much gristle. Original table outside drink station refused.
Excellent all around!!
Great service and food. Always happy with The Palm.
We celebrated late for Valentines Day. Every thing was great. Reservation honored. No wait. The New York was delicious.
Took my wife out for Valentine’s Day! Food and atmosphere was outstanding!
My Filet Mignon was delicious as always and even though they were extremely busy due to it being Valentine's Day Friday the service was great, our waitstaff Kayla, Jacob and Isabel gave us excellent service. My favorite restaurant when I go to the theater and I get to have dessert after the performance.
Great spot in downtown San Antonio. Tourist friendly. Expensive and upscale but casual.
We came here after my daughter’s graduation from Air Force BMT. The tuna appetizer was so delicious. My steak was cooked well and the sides were also very good. The history of the restaurant was also intriguing. Our server was amazing. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Food is excellent, the price is ? Meh, a bit pricey but if you are ready to 'put on the dog', this place will take you there!
I WOULD NOT BE RETURNING TO THAT RESTAURANT, THE STAFF WAS VERY GOOD, I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH MY $48 FILET MIGNON STEAK, THATS SUPPOSE TO BE THE SOFTEST STEAK, AND MY WIFE AND I HAD A HARD TIME CUTTING INTO THAT RUBBERY PIECE OF MEAT THAT WAS SERVED TO US. THE SIDES WERE GREAT, IT WAS JUST THAT STEAK THAT WAS A BIG LET DOWN FOR US.
Great experience. Jacob did an excellent job with a party of 12.
Great food and great service from Kayla. Thanks!!
I selected The Palms because it had options other than steak. I had the veal martini which was delicious; my wife had the bacon wrapped scallops which she shared with me. The scallops were moist and nicely flavored by the bacon. I learned that there are three Palms restaurants in Manhattan and plan to visit one the next time I am visiting New York City.
Great food and excellent service, as usual.
