The Palm Philadelphia
At The Palm, our philosophy is simple: Treat guests like family, serve great food, and always exceed expectations. That philosophy was born in 1926, when Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened the first Palm in New York City, sharing their commitment to quality and generosity of spirit with every guest who walked through their doors. What began as a restaurant became a legend -- a place to not only enjoy an excellent meal but also catch up with old friends, close business deals, and celebrate family milestones. Known for our Prime Aged Steak and Whole Nova Scotia Lobsters, the menu also includes our renowned Italian signature dishes, including Chicken Parmigiana and Veal Martini, as well as an award-winning wine list.
Waiter messed up order, made us miss scheduled engagement for our Anniversary. We will not come back. Insulted by waiter addressing price of a special when her wasn’t asked. A lot of assumptions took place. We will not ever come again. We had the porterhouse special which was about $160. Disappointing!
When it comes to a special night out in Center City Philadelphia, it's hard to beat dinner at The Palm. We just celebrated my wife's birthday at The Palm and everything -- the service, the ambiance and the food -- were perfect. It made the night even better. The steaks are perfectly cooked. The chicken parmigiana is legendary. And the seafood dishes are fresh and flavorful. But leave room for the key lime pie and/or donuts … a couple of their signature cocktails! We will continue to go to The Palm for my family's big nights out.
The bone in ribeye was the best I’ve had in Philly. The general manager was attentive and attended to our every need. Great experience!
Food was good. Had calamari appetizer and clam linguini, followed by fresh fruit for dessert.
We should have stopped at the appetizer. Was great! Cooked perfect. Healthy portion(buy 1 and share).
Linguini was cooked well too. But nothing to write home about.
Dessert was berries and a creme sauce. Fresh, but waste of money.
Restaurant is too pricey for what you get. Wasn't a bad experience, just expecting more for my money
Our server was amazing, the food was great and the wine selection, perfect!
Generally, we are not infrequent diners here. Our fault for not noticing there is no lunch menu anymore but the options at 1 pm are the same huge, heavy steak options as at dinner time. Our server was pretty annoyed that we were getting mainly salads and no alcohol (because it was 1pm). Overall, this was a pretty lackluster experience and we learned to stick to dinner only. Wasted Mother’s Day lunch, happily, we will have more in the future! I am surprised that when they toned things down the the renovation that lunch is what they removed since it is in an office building, seems like something that people would partake in but what do I know?!
Perfect setting for a Mother’s Day lunch
We always enjoyed our family dinners at Palm. Their lobsters and steaks always cooked just right! We like the remodeled setup and the excellent service!
Grass fed filet just melted on the tongue and was cooked perfectly. The branzino was cooked perfectly without a single bone to be found. Great cocktails and wine list too. We will be back.
Newly renovated which took way too long !
Service was great ! Noise level from bar very loud.
Food was good, not outstanding
Our server was A++++
We had a great lemon drop martini at the bar.
Michelle made it perfectly. Will greeted us at the table and we ordered chicken Parmesan for my wife and the special NY strip on the bone for me. As an app we had their famous half and half. The steak came and truly was almost uncuttable. Overdone and couldn’t cut it away from the bone. The chicken Parmesan was very good. But the reason for the very low rating is that The Palm is a steakhouse and that should be their bread and butter attraction. McDonalds does hamburgers. The Palm does steaks. But my last two tries have been disasters. That should not happen. And we actually stayed at The Bellevue Hotel to make it totally convenient to The Palm. What a mistake. On their behalf though I will say the manager was gracious and hospitable and Will very apologetic. We will go back but maybe not for strak
Always a great experience. Manager was amazing, bartender and wait staff awesome.
Wonderful evening! Drinks, dinner and service superb!
Food was very good. A bit pricey. The waiters and staff were very nice but a bit too attentive.
Passover & Easter
Will go back soon
Always a good place. Like a staple establishment.
Well, I have been to many Palm restaurants all over and was excited to check out the newly renovated Palm Philly. First, they seated another party at our table. So 10 minutes later after alot of conversation, we were able to sit. It took another 15 minuted to get menus. And then 10 minuted later the waiter asked if we wanted drinks. It was very noisy and i guess since no one gave an immediate answer he walked away. I flagged him down and he returned and took two orders from different parts of the table then walked away again. Ok, so a 3rd attempt he got all the drink orders in though when i asked what type of bourbon they had he didnt really know other than the 3 big names. Whatever. We ordered and food came out relatively quickly. The table behind us was a large party of what looked to be 50 somethings trying to relive their glory years during a bday celebration. they were a scene out of south beach w the fedoras and t shirts and such. again, whatever. apps were decent, I had the gigi salad and split that w the burrata, not that was very good. My steak was over cooked and gristly . Pretty tasteless as well. and a very thing cut (under 1" thick) I expect a bit more of a $60 steak. Sides were good but not overwhelming, funny part was I ordered a bunch of sides (for the table as usual) and the waiter then asked another person if he wanted sides. the person in my party asked if any had been ordered yet (waiter was still standing next to me) and he said "no" so we ended up with 9 sides for 6 people. When the dinner coyrse was done we waited quite a while to see a waiter to have the table cleared. out of nowhere 3 people came by and removed everything without asking if id like to wrap up 1/2 of my steak or the 4 full sides that were still on the table. I really didnt want to get up yet again to chase a waiter. Eventually the aited came by for dessert orders, stated that they were out of decaf coffee and there were no alternatives. At this poinhe
The Palm is my favorite! Feels like home, food is always excellent, atmosphere is fun.
Julie, Phil, Michele and all the staff treat me like family.
Always love dinner at the Palm -- it was girlfriend night before the concert. Awesome service and food!
Waiter was very inattentive (I felt) after we did not order alcohol or appetizers. Had to ask host for a box for left overs after waiting quite some time. Food was very good. I had the salmon and my wife had the crab cakes. Arugula and strawberry salad was fresh and plentiful.
It was our first visit with our 20 year old son for his birthday. It was an early dinner 4:30 . Immediately upon entering the manager took my fathers coat for him. Gabriel was our waiter and I believe Gus. They were both excellent and helpful as my wife has an allergy to garlic. We will definitely be back. We usually go to Capital Grille and have good experiences there as well but The Palm was even better and welcoming .
We had another great time at Philadelphia Palm. The service was excellent. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Everything is very consistent at this restaurant. We love it.
An outstanding meal! Excellent service, wonderful food. Salads were fresh, lobster bisque rich and hot, shrimp cocktail perfect. Steaks were cooked just as ordered, sides were hot and ample. Try the hot ‘donut holes’ with whipped cream, chocolate and berry sauces—sinful!
The food was delicious. We ordered different dinners and both were fantastic. The service was excellent. The manager stopped by our table a few times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
The Palm is continually outstanding on every visit. This time we were celebrating a long time and waiting post-holiday dinner and everyone enjoyed every aspect top to bottom start to finish.
As always I would highly recommend for any event.
Good food but struggling to cook the medium well done steaks. They came out CHARRED for my table. The staff did fix it but it was 3 burnt steaks.
Excellent steaks and seafood, fun vibe, great service. Highly recommend The Palm.
Went to a show
First time at The Palm and it was wonderful. Our sever Darnell was sensational. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Everything he recommended was fantastic, I especially loved the potatoes au gratin, and the wine he recommended pared perfectly with our steaks. I am so impressed, we will definitely be back and hope to try the rest of The Palms!
We are regulars at the Palm and I must say it never disappoints. The food is consistently high quality the Ambiance is lovely every once in awhile you see a few celebrities as we did last Saturday. The old saying is true you get what you pay for.
They have a problem with valet parking. Management also is somewhat arrogant!
Was very excited to go here. It looks like a Palm. The menu is close. Our service was not close. Perhaps it was our waiter's first day but starting from being seated at a table for 4 when our reservation was for 5 through to the check, the experience was not up to expectations. The "seasonal" menu was also expired - seriously! It was good through a few days before our visit but they had neither bothered to update the menu nor to change to the next season. Not what one would expect from a first (or second) class establishment.
Outstanding as always! Service is amazing. Great bacon appetizer and crab cakes were perfect.
Another great meal and terrific service
Palm service was outstanding! Steaks were salty tonight though...
Very nice place, the metridee sited us in nice table like we asked.
Food was good and the service as well.
I shall defenitely visit thr go there again.
First time there and the atmosphere was the best ever. Our waiter Sean was great and attentive to us. The food was the best. My wife and I are still talking about the prime rib we both had. We will be back for sure and Hopefully will have Sean as our waiter.
