The Palm Philadelphia
At The Palm, our philosophy is simple: Treat guests like family, serve great food, and always exceed expectations. That philosophy was born in 1926, when Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened the first Palm in New York City, sharing their commitment to quality and generosity of spirit with every guest who walked through their doors. What began as a restaurant became a legend -- a place to not only enjoy an excellent meal but also catch up with old friends, close business deals, and celebrate family milestones. Known for our Prime Aged Steak and Whole Nova Scotia Lobsters, the menu also includes our renowned Italian signature dishes, including Chicken Parmigiana and Veal Martini, as well as an award-winning wine list.
Terrance was a great guide, excellent recommendations. Potato soup was delicious as was the salmon and squash. Wine was very good. Great service, delightful hostess.
Beat steakhouse around.
I took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day. The steak was excellent and the drinks were on point. I will definitely be dining here again. Overall a great experience and the food is exquisite.
Valentine’s Day made perfect.
Service was fantastic. Valentines Day special menu for two was delicious.
Besides the Valentine’s Day special and the quality of food being amazing, the service is impeccable. I’ve dined all over the country at 5 star restaurants and no service beats The Palm. There was not one waiter, server, hostess, bartender or manager who didn’t walk by and ask “How is everything? Thank you for joining us tonight.” That alone will make me a returning customer. And the portions are amazing as well. Outstanding!
Quality does not seem as good as it was previous to the new facility.
Always Fabulous. Great staff
Food was delicious and desert was exceptional! Would recommend for any type of event
Service was excellent. We were tight on time because we had tickets to the Kimmel. Our waiter was fantastic! Had a bone in ribeye. It was good but not excellent. Sides were good also. Tables are spread out enough so you can’t hear other conversations.
Fantastic service and food would go again!!
Everything was great, except for the lobster Mac and cheese. Was dry with very little flavor. Ashame
Very refined restaurant. Service from waitstaff very attentive. Food is served a la carte and pricey but everything I ordered was excellent. A nice evening out with friends.
Ace is a fantastic server!!! The whole team is stellar. Definitely a favorite in the city!
Wonderful restaurant, service and the food was delish for our first time here and will definitely will return.
Both steaks had to be returned the manager was nice they recooked one and I choose not to have them recook mine running out or time
The sides we warm at best being there at 5 may have not been the best idea but it should not matter
They took the price of the steaks off the bill that was nice
Been a Palm guest many years this was not the best of experiences may think twice when I have guest in Philadelphia

When in Philly, run, do not walk, to dine at The Palm. Excellent food; wait and greet staff the best; price solid and reasonable; staff big time friendly; bring the whole family! The Palm! We love you and there is nothing they can do about it....Reverend William Devlin for the entire Devlin family! Bang!
Awful in every way possible. Food was cold, and best described as slop. Oysters not cleaned or shucked properly, $42 “fresh saffron pasta with chunked lobster meat”= dried pasta a couple cherry tomatoes, two pieces of broccoli rabe and two lobster claws. Wife got Charred steak that was obviously forgotten about because it was charred black on the outside well done and a small circle of raw in the middle, was ordered medium. Management and kitchen should be ashamed. I’ve been an award winning chef for 24 years and never experienced anything like it. Then management acted like they were doing me a favor by taking the entrees off the bill. If I had time to make a sign and stand outside warning other people I would. Close your doors and revamp.
waiter rude and condescending. a very pricey steak was ordered medium rare and came to the table medium well. fortunately a manager intervened and helped smooth things over.
My wife has wanted to go to The Palm for quite some time so I took her for our 12th anniversary. It has a fabulous reputation and is expensive. The decor and ambiance were a huge disappointment, does not live up to its reputation. For the price level there are many better choices that live up to expectations.
Very delicious and the staff was wonderful
Always a fun night at the Palm in Philly. Best bartenders in the City
Just OK. Wait Service was good - Bus service not so much. Too many used glasses plates etc left on the table. Food on par for this caliber restaurant. Maybe it’s just me but I expect exceptional when I pay > $100 per person. No big complaints but nothing to write home about either.
The food was good. Also enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be coming back.
It was just this past Friday that I got to experience and a taste of what The Palm Philadelphia has to offer. I love good tasting savory food. Our table has the beautiful overlooking the outside view. I had a house salad that tasted like it was rinsed with salt. The dressing was just salt. My I ordered a lobster in a bed of linguine and tomatoes with a little garnish of uncooked asparagus. I didn’t even see lobsters in it. I had a few shredded lobster in tasteless linguine. I was expecting to use my fork to get some lobster pieces. The sauce in the linguine wasn’t even savory. The pasta seems to be straight from a conventional pasta box instead of from freshly made pasta. I expected The Palm of Philadelphia to serve a highly quality and delicious food but it’s far from good. My daughter ordered a kids burger to we well done. and chocolate ice cream for dessert . As I helped to cut my daughter’s burger, it was bloody and dripped on her fries. The server took it and returned it back to us over cooked like a leather. The kids menu of ice cream is with chocolate syrup , whipped cream and a cherry on top. My daughter’s chocolate ice cream came without the chocolate syrup, whipped cream and cherry. My cheesecake was hard. It was probably sitting next to the freezer. It had a strawberry smear on the top without the strawberry. The Palm restaurant should be exceptional quality of food considering that location of restaurant is I front of broad street that represents a very good restaurant. I can’t recommend the food from The Palm restaurant. So so service, beautiful view but awful food.
Couple of steaks were a little overcooked but overall delicious.
The food came out very quickly and the service was amazing! I enjoyed every second of my meal and would love to come back!
Staff and servers were excellent and friendly. We were very disappointed with the overpriced lobster mac and cheese it had no flavor. We added table salt to make it more flavorful.
The food was great. The service was great. I would definitely recommend.
Foos was amazing. The filet mignon was charred on one side but the inside was perfectly cooked to my liking. The bacon wrapped scallop was so tasty. Awesome experience
I like the Palm. It was my 3rd time there--once ordering off of the regular menu, twice off the CC Restaurant Week menu. The food was good. The server was nice; just a little unresponsive towards the end of our meal. Took a little while for our bill to arrive and a little more time passed by for him to collect payment. Not too bad, given that my party was in no rush.
Overall the staff were friendly and professional. The food was not the ideal quality or standard from the temperature to preparation and made the overall experience below expectation. The management staff were polite, prompt, and provided alternatives where food did not meet the expectation. I believe it was restaurant week and that could explain the disappointing food; however, this would cause me not to recommend to others.
too expensive for the quality and quantity. I asked for well done filet mignon. they brought me a burnt black and dry piece of meat with no taste. it didn't feel like a relax and welcoming environment. they just wanted you to eat and leave quickly
The service and setting was very pleasant. However the food was a bit disappointing. My companions filet mignon was ordered medium rare, it was charred on the outside and barely pink inside. I expected better from an upscale steak restaurant. My lobster linguine was bland. The flourless chocolate cake was delightful. It was fun to try this place with the restaurant week promotion but I wouldn’t go back.
The filet mignon was cooked to a hard black charcoal and the portions were not satisfying. This may be a good place to get their specialty dish of lobster, but it is certainly not recommended for a typical dinner.
Disappointing experience, the steak was just 'ok' (NY Strip). The bread was probably the highlight.
The waiter was not attentive at all..forgot my salad..my bread..and my steak was over cooked..this was an awful lunch experience..I won’t be back not enough value for the cost..truly a terrible experience
We went after the theater during restaurant week. The food was done to perfection. The wait staff was helpful in making recommendations.
My wife and I chose to dine once again for the 2nd time (Jan 2019) after the remodeling that took place at the Palm in Philadelphia whereby the establishment was closed for well over a year and half. In September 2017 shortly after the reopening, and now with our return, the Palm has lost its appeal for us. It just doesn't have the same feel that the former restaurant once had. The quality of the wait staff seems to be missing, along with the mundane presentation of food. The overall atmosphere is lost, and similarly friends of ours who loved the Palm prior to the remodel, feel the same. So many other options in center city Philadelphia that we will further explore. Wish the Palm the best however.
Wonderful dinner as always. Everything was perfect.
