The Palm Orlando Ratings and Reviews
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I certainly hope it won't be my last. I was reluctant to try the Palm because of the prices and because of the portion sizes, but I discovered it was well worth it. The staff is VERY accommodating. If you don't see something on the menu to your liking, they will prepare the food any way you want. As for portion sizes? You can easily split a meal and the Palm encourages that. My companion and I ordered the bone-in rib eye, and the chef cooked it sliced it perfectly for us so that we could share it. It was plenty of food. The ceasar salad was delicious; you can get it with or without anchovies. All of the sides are sharable. The Palm prides itself on return customers, and I can see why.
Most awful service! Waited forever so long in fact I went to get a manager. She said she would be over In a minute and never came to speak with us. We had to send a dinner back it was like eating out of a box or microwave food. So expensive and to get this food and treatment so badly. So disappointing as we picked this restaurant for our special occasion. Pricey bill to be so disappointed and waste so much of our night.
The place to be on Thanksgiving! They opened early and the feast was on . I think we'll be eating here every year from now on. While I'm sure the turkey is nice (why wouldn't it be? They do everything well) we're in love everything else on the menu.
Service: Started off very well, but after the dinner rush started to pour in (about 7:30), the waitress disappeared for the next 45 minutes. Had to ask others (who were very attentive) for refills, etc.
Food: Clams Casino was very good. Wagyu Ribeye was requested medium and came out medium rare, not a big deal and my son still enjoyed it. Ordered a 6 lb lobster that was nicely presented, but overdone. Chewy would be the word that comes to mind.
Management: Tried to make it right by offering dessert after I had to go to the front just to find/pay my bill. Very courteous, but I just wanted to leave at that point and politely refused the dessert.
I do not see a reason to go back. I don’t mind paying more for a good meal, but the meat should be cooked correctly and the customers should not be ignored for any reason.
We are members of the 837 Club since the Palm is one of our favorite restaurants. They never fail to deliver a great dining experience. It seems that regardless of the location, the food and service are all at a superior level; this visit was no exception. The lobster was delicious, great pairing on the wine and the service impeccable. Can be a bit pricey but overall worth every penny.
ok-let me start by saying I travel alot and take clients to dinners very often. I was asked 4 times what kind of water we wanted. Waiter was not good and over the top way to tacky. Food was horrible. Clients had Halibut and it was dry and my Tuna Steak was ice cold. Do not waste your money or time here. Way overrated. Save yourself the money and aggrevation of being frustrated and just find another spot. Had dinner at Emeral's the next night and it was half the bill and far more tasty.
Second time for us at this restaurant , last time we had much better experience (4 years ago), I amnot sure what happened to the restaurant , new management ? Maybe we got an off day?? I don’t know what was the reason but for some reason our waiter was not attentive at all. We waited an hour and 15 minutes after our appetizers for main entree , and when it came it wasnot tasty at all. Definitely not worth the price. Ambiance was so loud that I felt I had to shout all the time to speak to my wife. Overall very disappointing.
It was a great meal, and the staff was attentive and kind; however, the main waiter was purposefully vague on item pricing when we tried to clarify add on pricing for surf and turf. He made sure the total was as high as possible by not using the add on price and increasing the size of the lobster.
