Steaks had no taste, over priced
Pasta served with Chicken seasoned too hot. could not eat
Went to the Palm in Nashville as part of my wife’s birthday celebration. As usual the food was excellent and the service was superb. We can’t wait to come back and visit again soon.
Excellent food and service including valet. The bacon wrapped scallops and crab cakes were amazing. We enjoyed seeing all the faces on the walls. We had dinner then attended a show at the symphony so the location was perfect. We will definitely return again.
Birthday for bride
I have lived and dined in Nashville for the past 20 years. I had actually never been to the Palm. This place was willing to host a large dinner party and even put us in a private room near the front that was nice. We were served by three or more servers. My party was actually very easy but our main server was clearly annoyed to have to serve the table. I’ve never spent $300 for 2 people at a place and felt like an inconvenience. Our party of 11 split the tab in 2/3 people, which was a huge problem for her. All together the table spent between $1000 to $1500. We were immediately profiled as not a high end client, which I’m sure they have them constantly, but we were easy, polite, and well mannered. I’m actually shocked this particular server has a job here. She just doesn’t seem like a nice person.
The food is honestly ok. The side portions are way too big, the steak was blan, the fish wasn’t amazing. Definitely not something you couldn’t make at home. I feel like it’s another historic Nashville restaurant that has stayed open and busy based on their reputation, but times have changed and there are way better restaurants for your money. Kane Prime is a much better high end steak option, Saltine is 1/3 price and much better seafood, and fifth and Taylor’s atmosphere is another comparable, but better restaurant. There’s plenty more.
I’m really on the fence between 2-3 stars here. I’ll give them 2 because I just can’t seem to get passed the disappointing 30th bday party dinner. They were accommodating for our party on a management level. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they need the high prices to keep the idiots out, but our party unanimously agreed it’s not worth coming back to and it was not worth the price. If overpaying for dinner is your strategy to avoid being around common folk or makes you feel superior, this place is still just decent.
The waiter name Jeffrey maded the night he was very interesting knew a lot about Nashville and we enjoyed having him for a waiter. It was my wife's 70th birthday he made it fun
Good service, great food.
We generally really enjoy the Palm. Service was great. Food was mediocre due to salad and potatoes were not tasty. Main dishes were very good - cooked correctly. Value was average.
OLD TIME STYLE & CLASS!
PERFECT FOR ALL OCCASIONS!
If you have not been to other high end steak houses then you will like. Compared with the other high end places there is not as much selection and the portions are a little smaller. The horseradish used with the cocktail sauce is excellent and super strong.
The Palm restaurant in Nashville was awesome. I had the Veal Marsala It was fantastic the portions are large enough to share with someone else we also had the au gratin potatoes which were so creamy and cheesy a delight to eat our friends had the hash browns and Crab cakes she said they were the best she’s ever had. All around great food and atmosphere.
Wonderful place with great food and outstanding service 😀
The food was excellent. Once seated, the food came out quickly. Everyone was very nice.
The food was outstanding as well as the Service. It was on Mother’s Day and we received quick Service.
Tables were a good distance apart allowing intimacy for your own group. Conversations were not overheard between tables. Older members of our party were able to follow the conversation. Service was exemplary. Food was interesting and delicious. Complimentary valet parking downtown was a blessing! Great experience!
The Palm was very nice. The service was good, the food was great, I would highly recommend if you don't mind paying the price for good food!
Too loud. Expensive. Not romantic as desiring
We had dinner at The Palm before a concert at the Bridgestone which was extremely convenient and I would do it again. The only con was that the street was closed between the restaurant and the arena so getting dropped off by the Lyft was a little trivial. The food was very good and so was the service. It was incredibly loud in the restaurant and we were actually seated in a side room facing the arena which was some quieter and fun to people watch. I would request it again.
We were a party of 6 and everyone had a great dining experience. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list - even though it was quite busy, she was very attentive and checked back several times to see if we needed anything. The food was great - two of us has the filet mignon which were aged perfectly - melt in your mouth. The price is on the upper end but well worth it if you are looking for great food and service.
The steak was good but the sides and salad were terrible. The rolls were stale. We ordered dessert but it took 20 minutes to come out so we cancelled it. Very disappointed.
Great experience. Rhonda took good care of us. My one complaint is that the chopped salad recipe is new and not as good as the old one.
Best steak I enjoyed whilst in Nashville, and superb service.
I remember when The Palm first came to Nashville, Ruth’s Chris and Jimmy Kelly’s were the only real steakhouse choices(Sperry’s?...meh). The service was phenomenal and the food...above average. But you have to remember, we had nothing like it. I still enjoy coming here, especially before events downtown, it’s convenient and you can always find something you like. It’s still extremely loud in the dining room, that won’t change. Service in Nashville is problematic everywhere, not enough help, very transient. Our server was very nice and patient, she did a fantastic job and was hampered by the kitchen and since we were a 6:30 sitting, as soon as the restaurant got busier the service got bogged down...a large table of eight sat down next to us about 6:45 and our servers were sparse from then on. I wouldn’t recommend The Palm as the first place to go get a steak in Nashville nowadays, but when downtown it is still a fixture and is fun, especially on Predators game nights. Besides, nobody in town has lobster like The Palm...one other thing, their bread is awful, a steakhouse with bad bread? They better get that together soon!!
The Palm never disappoints! We had fabulous food, service, and a fun celebration. We HIGHLY recommend the Palm and of course we love Nashville!
Cindy from Scottsdale
Excellent food, great atmosphere, the servers are respectful and available.
The food was just ok this time. Waitress was great. The only thing that was really good was the desserts.
Food was good atmosphere was good noise level is what you expect in a restaurant. Noisy but we could still talk to each other. Service was good. I’m not going to say excellent because the waiter was in a rush. He didn’t listen to us at the end regarding our bill request as we wanted to pay for our friends. He made errors with the bill twice. Which we gave up.
Saturday night ; kitchen staff obviously unprepared. Assistant general manager tried to remedy my dissatisfaction.
Not bad, but just fair. The cocktail was very good, but the server never asked if we wanted another, or if we would like wine. just took the glasses. had to ask again for water; slow. didn't feel we were that important to server or restaurant. sounds egotistical, but had just eaten at The Southern the night before- the server there paid close attention without hovering, made conversation without jutting into our own conversation, food was fantastic. No comparison.
Great food...salads, sides, and veal all excellent. Friendly service, high energy vibe, and a nice wine list (albeit a bit pricey).
Love this place!
Always fabulous food and GREAT service at The Palm!
Business meal. Food was delicious. Service was good and everyone had an overall great experience.
We never had such a tasty Lobster before.
The friendlyness was excellent. The bar was great
The food, service and ambiance of The Palm were all top notch! Will be going back!
Wonderful dining experience. Food was amazing. Service was excellent and very personable. Entire evening was a delight.
Food was good but overpriced. Service was excellent. Restaurant is a dark with wood paneling. I was a party of 1 - seemed like they wanted me to finish quickly so they could turn around the table. Maybe just an off night.
