The Palm Miami Ratings and Reviews
It has the ambiance of a classic old school steak house. I ordered a fillet mignon Oscar style. It was a mess. Not well put together at all. One fourth of my steak was undercooked. Neither the waiter nor mgmt did anything to improve things. The tonic for a gin&tonic comes in small small mini bottles which is great. It was alot of money for so so food and service. Hopefully it will be better next time.
The manager Michael treats new customers as second class citizens. He is rude over the phone and rude in person. Awful , nasty attitude.
Our waiter Fidel was extraordinary, the food was delicious.
Just Michael is a no,no!
Corporate office should send him to have a behavior modification course and hopefully, the hospitality bug will come back to him.
I was delighted to return to the Palm after a long hiatus. The Bal Harbor location retains the club look that Palm is recognized for and the dining experience was top of the line . A giant Shrimp Cocktail, a 22 oz. Bone in Rib Eye with sides of fried onions ,cottage fried potato chips and sauteed spinach all added up to a fabulous steak house experience. Lobsters to be shared up to 4-5 lbs always available and will get us back for another visit soon.
Hello Palm, Goodbye other choices.
How long has The Palm been around? As a privately held establishment? A really really long time! Nothing is more reassuring or comforting, as is eating in an establishment that I used to eat at, as a young whippersnapper with my dad and uncle, and now, returning to experience the same dedication to service and quality. Thanks to The Palm family!
The meal and the total experience was excellent. The service from our waitress was outstanding and the Porterhouse Steak that we ordered was one of the best we ever had. All of the side dishes from the onion rings to the creamed spinach were excellent.
The desserts of chocolate cake and small donuts were extremely good.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
I ordered the 14 oz New York strip medium rare. Came out perfect. Charged on the outside and juicy on the inside. Definitely top quality steak. With that being said they may want to check their scale. I would say it was closer to a 12 oz than a 14 oz. My wife had the crab cakes and they arrived perfectly done as well. Definitely made with lots of lump crab. We split the chop chop salad which they say is a house specialty. Do yourself a favor and do not order this salad. It was terrible. Basically no taste and very water logged. We also split the 3 cheese potatoes which were excellent. We have eaten at their New York restaurant and this one has the same quality food and great service.
This is by far the best steak and lobster restaurant in Miami Florida. We ordered two 6 lb lobters for two people and it was so good had to take half home lol. Ordered a steak on the side way too much food but as usual so good. The bread is exceptional and the Ceaser salad tastes like a Ceaser salad should. They added anchovies to mine. Also the mix of fries and onion rings were perfect. We go at least once a month the very very best !!!
Been going to the Palm for 15 to 20 years. I was disappointed with the Thanksgiving Meal. Very Salty and very dry. Had to ask for extra gravy. The service was efficient, but normally the staff is a little more friendly. They were acting as if they did not want to be at work.
I have been to The Palm on many occasions and always look forward to our visits and is always one of the highlights of our time in Miami. We have always enjoyed the steaks cooked to perfection and love the Gigi salad. I don’t know if it was an off night or if the area hasn’t recovered yet from Irma but our stake was very mediocre. We ordered the double New York that serves 2 to 3 people and it had no flavor was a little tough and we were disappointed. The service was rather lackluster as well. We had leftovers and, it may seem like such a silly thing, but in the past the leftovers came packaged in a really nice brown thick paper handle bag and what we got was a clear plastic bag that look like it came from Chinese takeout. I am not sure that we will come back...
