The Palm Los Angeles

I would recommend the Palm, to a friend, the waiter Carl Sherwin was above and beyond excellent. Gave the Palm a very personable atmosphere. The food was good, the wine was excellent, the port over the top good, a must is the 7 layer chocolate cake.
The location was rather inconspicuous as we would have missed it if our driver had not pointed it out! It was a nice place with excellent service! Our waiter Carl was wonderful, being first timers, we went with all of his suggestions which were on point! Blackened Sea Bass, garlic whipped potatoes, Brussel Sprouts - all very tasty! The Donut Holes for dessert with the dipping sauce were heavenly!!!
The meal was wonderful, but I was surprised and found it a bit tacky for our waiter Alex to serve our party an amuse bouche that we had not ordered and then charge us for it. We assumed the little appetizers were complimentary in celebration of our friends' recent wedding.
There is no carpet at this location, and there are TVs with sports at the bar and near the entrance. There was a party upstairs that was a bit loud.
Another great night for us at The Palm! We were running late yet they saved our table, and then got our food out in record time so we could relax and enjoy it before heading to Staples for the Eric Church concert. The cocktails thrilled my table, and I loved the wine list with a very reasonably priced Chablis. Food as always was perfect, and I am pretty sure that is the best crab cake I have ever had.
Our favorite downtown place for a great dinner before an event in LA. Crab Cakes are as good as I have ever had anywhere, and while it is an amazing steak house don't overlook the Chicken Parmesan, it is a signature dish for them and is amazing!
The booths provide a wonderful private space for enjoying conversation and great food!
Went for Mother’s Day brunch. I looked at different brunch menus around downtown and their brunch menu was the best, and reasonably priced for being a higher end restaurant. Lobster bisque was delicious, my medium rare filet minion was cooked perfectly, creamed spinach was nice and creamy. My mom enjoyed her New York strip and made a comment about how refreshing her Bellini was. I concur with her review. The only item we both were okay about was the cheesecake. It was a little dry and crumbled when we tried to cut into it, but I wouldn’t say it was terrible. Jeffrey, our server was amazing. Very attentive and easy to talk to. He even spoke to my mom in Spanish, which made him even more charming. I will definitely consider returning.
This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The service was great and the company I shared dinner with was even better.
Never disappointed at The Palm.
Great food. Great service.
We had Hunter and he was on the spot.
He was fabulous. Ask for him.
Steak was cooked to perfection.
And the desserts were so yummy.
Great night our with friends.
We went to the Palm for the first time after my son's college graduation. Our waiter Hunter was awesome!! He was so happy and had a great laugh! The whole restaurant was full of other USC families celebrating also. GREAT night of fun, food, and celebration.
Old school charm in LA. Great steak, outstanding service
Spectacular as always including food & service!
Our waitress was extremely nice & helpful with the menu. The food was also very seasoned & delicious. A must come back!
The Palm in downtown LA. Fantastic restaurant never fails to impress. Food is always consistently great. A must if your looking for a great lunch or dinner in downtown!!!!
Very good food need bus service to relax a bit but great place
It was a good place to go, very interesting, but didn’t love the food or the service.
Anniversary of our friends and I cannot begins to say thank you to staff for the lovely personalized note it was amazing
My wife and I are regulars at the Palm and love the comfort we feel when dining there. Regardless of what we order (chicken parmesan, baked potato, filet mingnon, lobster, adult beverages) everything is flawlessly prepared without fail. The staff has always made us feel at home through their friendly demeanor and great attitude. The Palm is our favorite dining destination. It is one of our guilty pleasures. That is why I feel compelled to write of the experience we had on May 3, 2019. This most recent visit was a complete departure from what we have come to expect from The Palm. Although we were greeted and seated in the normal fashion, the rest of our dining experience was the opposite from what we've come to expect from The Palm. Our drink order had to be taken by the manager who noticed we had been sitting for some time without being greeted by our server. When our server, Andy (5561), finally came she was very abrupt. Our drinks also sat empty for approximately 10 minutes before I asked for them to be refreshed. Our second round of drinks was not what we ordered when we pointed this out we were made to feel like a nuisance. We also had to ask for water, bread, and butter from a bus person (Andy never offered or brought these staple items). It was incumbent throughout the evening for us to initiate service. Even when eye contact was made she just ignored several times before returning. My wife and I understand when someone is having an off night. However, this was not the case, given that she was quite attentive to the party of five that were seated adjacent to our table. If our service was half of what we saw being offered to other customers, I would not have been compelled to write this review. Understanding the high standards that are expected of your establishment was another reason for the review. I would hope that management would like to be made aware of any service which reflects poorly on the restaurant.
Busy place, quick service, nice tables, Food decent but pricey
The service was good but the meal was incredibly overpriced.
ALWAYS A GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE...THE PALM ALWAYS TAKES GREAT CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
We went there for Easter Dinner. It was great! Food was very very good. They treated us very well. We will go back.
Held a dinner here and used a private room. Everything was fantastic, service wonderful- very accommodating.
Nice ambiance and great service. Close to Staples Center so we were able to walk over. You can valet at the restaurant for $25 and leave the car there until your event is over. Food was good, we enjoyed it. Disappointed in the wedge salad. It has too many fried onions that bogged it down.
Food was good but overpriced. Wait staff was ok. High reviews but disappointed. Will not return
Great night with excellent food. Wonderful service.
Terrific dinner, wonderful server, not that I wanted a treat, but one was not offered as it was my birthday and we are very frequent guests. Having said that, nothing could keep me from going back.
Outrageously overpriced for the quality.
Enjoyed Greg our waiter, excellent wine list and great service. Food was great.
Hunter made me and my Grammie's night. Truly an ASSET to The Palm Los Angeles!!
Wonderful and service for our party of 8. Very enjoyable evening
Locale carino, in pieno centro. Valet parking a 10 dollari per cena e 2 per pranzo. Cibo e vini buoni. Prezzi medio/alti, ma in linea col livello. Un po’ troppo rumore.
Even a millionaire won’t get any love at this place with a party or 2 or 3. Unless you have a table of 5 to 7 you will be ignored on a busy night
We always start at the bar area for a cocktail (the bartenders attentive and friendly) gaze on the creative artist hand painted caricatures, which is great fun, then move on to a crisp white tablecloth table. More fun caricatures inviting us to let the magic begin...
staff is very knowledgeable about the food and they provide the best service.
We had dined at this Palm before and we always felt it was just an okay experience. Not what we expect from The Palm. It had been a couple of years and it was my wife's birthday so we thought we would give it one more try. They sat us in a nice booth with plenty of room for the two of us and away from the crowded bar (Kings game at Staples). The waiter told us he was relatively new but he was right on the ball with our order and over all service. My wife's filet was cooked to perfection and my Veal Parmigiana was probably the best I've ever had. It was a memorable experience and we'll be back.
Food was great but place it’s old
Great food, nice and cozy and the service was amazing
Great service and excellent food.
Filet mignon was delicious as was the sauteed spinach and potatoes.
