Our waiter Evan was amazing. Probably the best waiter my wife and I have every had. He was very attentive and made wonderful food and wine suggestions. Also was a wonderful person. Restaurant is really fun and was all decorated for Christmas with old Christmas music playing in the background. You will experience a piece of Los Angeles History by going to The Palm, don't miss out.....
I love The Palms. The food is awesome. The location is nice and clean considering it is Downtown LA.
The Palm has wonderful staff and service. Our family of 14celebrated Thanksgiving here. With two small children our servers never missed a beat. There kindness and patience with our group was sincerely appreciated. The 3 course Thanksgiving meal was delicious and perfectly prepared! The gigantic bone in rib-eye was as tasty as it was in its presentation.
A favorite dining venue of our family & friends❣️
Food was delicious! Our server Carl went above and beyond to make our dinner adventure fun and personable. We’ll be back!!
Absolutely outstanding.. would go again and again!
Lobster bisque, oysters, and ribeye were all excellent. Service was also excellent.
Service was pushy. French fries were limp. Steak was ok but very expensive. A number of classic items from the menu were not available and the wine we ordered also was not available. Pretty disappointing and not consistent with the Palm brand
Have been going to The Palm for decades. It was a SHOCK that at this visit, the Palm had NO LOBSTERS! Said they "could not get them." Really? The Palm?
Really miss The Palm on Santa Monica Boulevard which always had everything we wanted to order. The new Palm in Beverly Hills is just a bit precious and a bit over the top.
Please bring back the great food, the great guests and the great ambience of old.
Worst waiter in history. Brought another couple here before the game at Staples...will never do that again, how embarrassing! In addition to having to ask another waiter to track him down three times...it was a full ten minutes between the time he said your meals are coming right out...and the other three arrived. When my steak finally arrived (50 minutes after ordering it!) it was so undercooked we made him take it off the bill. Good thing I had ordered an appetizer, otherwise, I would have had no dinner except that and the mashed potatoes. Will not come back.
We got there before a Kings game at 5:30. No one there. Ordered a drink and appetizers. Then drinks came and ordered food. Then never saw the waiter again to get another drink. Other helpers came and we asked for a drink. Nada. Then asked for the manager. Manager wouldn't come over. I walked up to the hostess to ask for our waiter. Nope. Food comes. It's awful. I guess Lawry's bought them? Food was garbage. Still no drink. Spoke to manager and she said oh sorry but too bad. 8 people $650 and it was garbage. WIll never go here again. Service sucked, food sucked. Management sucked.
Walkable to Staples center. Great steak house! And excellent cocktails
The worst stake in LA. Crab cake was cold inside.
Service is ok
Maria is great
First game of our clippers package. Where else would you go?
Poor all around
As always the food is exceptionl and the wait staff very accomadating of time if you tell them you are going to the game at the Staples Center near by
Not a great a selection of entrees. The cream of spinach was cold and my salmon was dry. The broccoli with salmon tasted like a aloe plant. Worst experience ever and I’m never coming back.
Birthday great place
food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen and they were short staffed per the hostess. sea bass was excellent and the linguine with clams were a little dry.
The menu has changed. Gone are many favorites!!! The food presented was very good,
Amazing service and ambiance. Relaxed, down to earth elegance. Our table had the filet mignon, salmon, cod, and lump crab cocktail as our entrees. All food items got two thumbs up. The calamari appetizer was solid. Great wine selection and suggestions by somalier. Carl, our server, was fun, professional, and attentive. We will be back again the next time we are in DTLA!
Great Dining Experience
Dinner before a concert
Gigi salad was just perfect and the bacon slab was amazing.
Still can’t stop thinking about that tomahawk steak which was perfectly cooked
Horrible worst place to eat
Service was top notch ! Lobster was fabulous.
Drinks are creative and served professionally.
I had a friend's 40th bday there and it was amazing! Our waitress Maria was FANTASTIC! Make sure to ask for her :) Mario, the operating manager is doing a fabulous job! Food is top notch! Will be back!
The food is top notch, and always consistent. We can always count on the quality of the meal. It's also walking distance to the Staples Center where we watch the Lakers, Kings, and a concert or two.
Great for business dinner
Overpriced in comparison to other major steakhouses/similar restaurants.
I enjoyed everything about The Palm from the old-school aesthetic and hand-crafted drinks. I would say the steak wasn't the best for the value paid. The waitstaff was incredible. Sadly, it wasn't worth the $350.00 dollars I paid for two people.
Great restaurant, great service (very attentive but not intrusive), great ambience. Food was very good not great. Chicken parmesan was a bit too hammered (thin) and the garlic mashed potatoes were lumpy throughout. Shrimp cocktail, calamari and salmon were excellent and tasty.
The Palm made a very nice backdrop for an engaging conversation and dinner with my guest.
Everything was nice and my filet was perfect!
Jessica and the entire team were very attentive to us during our dinner. Food and beverage were EXCELLENT! Definitely, will return during the upcoming basketball and hockey season.
Food: Denny’s was better.
Service: waiters / waitresses last day?
Ambience: deathly quiet / no air conditioning, 80 degrees inside / workers seemed miserable.
Parking: none - you have to pay this creepy guy $10 cash (cash only) around the corner.
Final Advice: DO NOT COME HERE!
The service, quality of food and ambiance was absolutely top notch .
The filet was truly wonderful along with the nice portion of calamari and drinks .
This was our first time there and it will definitely not be the last. Going back very soon. Our server Juan was attentive and on top of everything.
The food and service was exceptional.
Our server was pretty good, but completely forgot to close out the bill and we had to chase down additional staff to close out our tab. Carl did pretty good but was horrible as closing, very poor performance.
The noise level was very loud for such fine dining. It felt like we weee at a Sports bar
