Amazing place to eat and amazing service! I will definitely be coming back!!!
Home run meal by the talented staff at the downtown Palm. Superb steaks well prepared.
Good service, mediocre food, spider crawled out of my menu and it didn’t seem to phase the waiter. The bus boy was kind of rude, I don’t think he realized it though. Steaks were not tender and my Chilean Sea Bass could have been cooked a few minutes longer. My baked potato was half baked. I’d never go back or refer a friend.
Recommended by the hotel staff; we were thrilled with the experience, a lilttle pricey, however well worth it. Enjoyed the succulent steaks (2 chairman’s reserve, rib eye and veal martini. Gratin was excellent. Karl’s recommendations were great. It was one of best meals.
Another outstanding Filet Mignon. It doesn’t get any better than this. Also try the terrific Baby Kale salad. And Chelle is an outstanding waitperson.
The food was very good and the service exceptional
Its The Palm. You expect nothing but the best, and they always consistantly deliver!
This was our second time at the Palm and we weren't disappointed. Our server Amy was very good and knowledgeable about the items on the menu and the specials. She was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Only one small hitch, they brought our meal out before we were finished with our salads. It would have been nice to have finished the salad before our entree came out. Amy was very surprised it happened and was apologetic. I happened to hear her say something to the kitchen staff about it. All in all a good time and good food.
The atmosphere was fun, my waiters were nice, the creamed spinach and carrot cake was amazing, but unfortunately the steak was gritty and the lobster Mac and cheese was not edible at all.
The lunch menu is not anything to brag about..all the request we had..the waiter wrote it down..but the food was brought not according to our request...took a while to get the food..not worthed to send it back...i will go to cheescake factory but not here.
Since I would not recommend it it would not be good.
Had an awesome anniversary dinner. Amy was a great waitress who remained attentive our entire 2-hour celebratory dinner. The food was cooked to perfection - even cooked our medium-rare+ filets to perfection.
While we have dined at other steak houses over the years, it’s always good to come back home to a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food cooked exactly to your liking.
The food was great as usual the service was ok but not great the server was lost in occasions the outside of the restaurant was dirty and dark
The food was a bit cold when we received it and the chair booth was soo uncomfortable to sit on. The waiter was way to fast to take our plates away, and it we got the feeling she wanted us to hurry up. I was literally still chewing my last bite and put my fork down when she took my plate and asked me if I was done.
Over all it was okay. But I don't think I'd ever go back. A bit pricey for cold food.
Fantastic bone-in ribeye, outstanding wine selection, impeccable server named Hunter. Very memorable & satisfying anniversary dinner.
Love this place. I had the lobster salad and it was meh. But my friends hamburgers were great. The crane brûlée was off the chain
I’ve had the good fortune to enjoy Filet Mignon (or its local equivalent) all over the world. The most outstanding experiences have been in Buenos Aires, San Francisco, NYC, Durham, Sydney, Reykjavik, and most certainly at The Palm Los Angeles, whose Filet Mignon is clearly among the very, very finest served anywhere. It is an experience not to be missed.
Bartenders are the world class !!!! Greatest service
The Palm may be a "chain", but what a fabulous chain it is! We love the service (Maria is exceptional as is Ramon the master of cracking the lobster claws), and the food is always fresh, well prepared and served as if you're the only guests in the entire restaurant. You can't go wrong with any of the steaks and for a real treat, the 3# lobster WILL stop your heart. I've dined at The Palm in probably 10 cities and I always enjoy the DTLA location the most.
The best Filet Mignon available anywhere, bar none. Amy is a terrific waitperson – highly personable and extremely helpful.
Drink was overpriced! $29 for Cadillac margarita
Should have been informed of price prior to ordering
We have always loved going to The Palm, but when the one in San Diego closed we then had to drive up to Los Angeles to get our Lobster fix! Tonight we went up to enjoy the end of the Summer Lobster season and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I mentioned to the hostess when I came in that it was a surprise birthday celebration for my wife. Dinner was okay, but my steak was cold and our server Amy seemed to never be around, we asked for more bread three times and it didn’t come until after dessert. Here is the point I lost all respect for The Palm. Amy brought a dessert menu out and asked if we wanted to order anything. I went to the hostess to ask why the server didn’t just bring a birthday dessert to surprise my wife and she didn’t understand English all that well. So, I asked Amy point blank “did the hostess tell you it was my wife’s birthday”, she lied straight to my face, “yes she did. I was just seeing if you wanted to choose your own dessert”. As we’re leaving I asked the other woman at the front area, “did you tell our server Amy that I wanted to celebrate my wife’s birthday?”. This lady Michelle, who is the manager told me “no, I couldn’t hear you when you were being seated”. Of course now it’s obvious that Amy has lied to me. I asked Michelle to get Amy which she did. I also noticed when they spoke Amy was laughing, I’m sure customer service is a joke at The Palm. I asked Amy again “did the hostess tell you about my wife’s birthday?” Here’s a chance to come clean, but no Amy tells me “didn’t you tell me it was your wife’s birthday when you sat down?”. No, I didn’t say that as I was trying to surprise my wife. There is a level of professionalism that I expect from The Palm, and tonight it was off target. Be honest with people. If you’ve made a mistake or forgot something, just own it. People are far more likely to respect you and the company you work for if you’re honest. You’ve lost a loyal customer.
Food didn’t come out hot, unfortunately. But the ribeye (boneless) was good.
Great food and service! Lobsters are amazing! Great spot to eat before going to Staples Center.
What a fantastic dining experience. Great staff, food and environment. Loved the lobster! Thanks for helping make the evening special!
Service was eceptional from reception, seating, food service and departure. The crab cocktail was amazing and best we have had outside of the Northwest. The lobster for two dinner was equally great. No room for dessert as the crab meat was moust and plentiful . Server was great
Great meal at a great location by LA Live and Staples Center!!
Thank you for another wonderful dinner. Everything was super!
Still the absolute best Filet Mignon in Los Angeles and perhaps the world. Superb. Get the 12 ounce – medium rare. Perfection.
Outstanding meal and service, as always. This is my go-to restaurant for business meetings, celebrations, and I am always treated well.
Very disappointed with the service . They were only concerned about numerous large corporate functions and the regular diners were ignored. For example the waitress was so worried about the food that we ordered might run out that she put our food order then forgot to come back and take the cocktail orders so our appetizer can before our drinks . Many other issues that i think they were poorly staffed that is why this all happened. Won’t go back . Beverly Hills Palm where we usually go is run much better and the service is excellent.
Classic amazing food and service so much history and great vibes
Great food, great service, great experience! Noise level wasn't as loud as other Palms. Perhaps it was because we dined early, but it was very nice to have a beautiful meal with a reasonable noise level. Would definitely recommend and definitely return.
The Filet Mignon is among the best available anywhere in the world. Bread and sides are excellent as well. Top-notch service.
The server was nice but seemed very rushed and not personable! The food was bland! I ordered the filet mignon and it was dry and lacked flavor. I have been in the industry for 18 years as a server/Bartender and I work for Mortons, which is one of the best steak houses! So I definitely have a standard and was a little disappointed because it was my wife’s birthday dinner! The only dessert they offer for birthdays is the Key Lime Pie, which was another disappointment! You should give several options for your guest! We ended up getting the carrot cake and that was pretty good! That’s was the best part of the whole experience honestly! One thing I’ve learned being in the industry is that your engagement with your customers set the tone for your experience! Mediocre server, Mediocre food, Mediocre Birthday Experience , Disappointed Results! Anyways, If you’re ever in Washington DC, stop by Mortons on Conneticut Ave, so we can give you the experience you deserve! 🤷🏾♀️
Loved the lobster
We love the Palm...we go with high expectations and are never disappointed!
The service was 2nd to none. Andy was our server and she was great. There was a young man standing by to always refill out water, etc. The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you.
Good food, great service. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Would eat here again when I’m back in LA
Its the PALM..old school, Classic New York style..
Leave full and happy....
