OpenTable Diner (Los Angeles)

This was my first visit to The Palm, and I was happy with the outcome. The food was good, although my steak was cooked a little bit more than I would have liked. It was still very tasty. My friend and I had requested to sit in the bar area, which the hostess was able to accommodate. The atmosphere was lively and interesting. The only complaint I had was that our server wasn't very attentive. It was a busy, crowded night, but even at that she seemed to be paying more attention to her other tables. I would have expected more from a place with a high-dollar menu. Overall, I would say it was a good experience and I will return given the opportunity.

The Palm Downtown L A nailed it again. Even tried a dish new to me, and it was outstanding. This is quite simply a really, really good restaurant.

Just not the place for me. Food was Luke warm and the noise level is just to much. They also obviously want to save money on warming the place. It was an icebox. I will not go again.

Our waitress was overwhelmed and we had to hunt her down twice. never checked back with us although the manager did. Brought me the wrong steak. a New York well done. I ordered a Bone In Ribeye medium-rare. Was too late to make changes.

The food here standard steak house fair but it is really good. Service is very prompt, professional and friendly. They have solid drinks too. Great before any Staples Center event.

A complete disappointment to all three of us who dined together. Tough, games and overcooked filet mignon - even though it was butterflied against my instructions and common sense. Burned and greasy onion rings. Slow, inattentive service. Insanely overpriced. And to add insult to injury I was misled about parking and ripped off for a $25 valet parking charge. Will be turning in my 837 Club card and NEVER returning to the Palm.

The "broiled" lobster, while delicious under most any circumstance, was barely warm when it was served. And, of course, you can't send it back for more time in the oven or under the broiler because that just dries it out and ruins in completed. Very Ddsappointing when you're paying top dollar for lobster.

Celebrated my 57th Birthday on Jan 19th. I was greeted warmly by the Hostess, Jessica upon arrival. Our server Hunter was great. He was always helpful and attentive. The manager saved a Christmas gift for me from the Palm’ for me. A wonderful surprise.

The Palm is a great restaurant in downtown LA, very close to LA Live and the Staples Center. The steaks are excellent and service very attentive and prompt. The decor is causal and very interesting with the faces of the many people that have dined there. It can be a bit noisy when all tables are occupied but it has an energetic vibe.

All was great, but $40 corkage fee, even for a restaurant like this, is a bit ridiculous.

Dinner was awesome, I had the 24 ounce Bone-In Rib Eye cooked perfectly the way I ordered it .. Blue ( very rare ) and a delicious cab suggested by our server. We also had the hash browns, creamed spinach and mushrooms all were great. I hadn’t been to the Palm in years but will definitely be back soon before a Kings game.

A great steak house.. excellent food, vibrant and sincerely attentive service. Next to Staples center so very active. Recommend highly. Reservations are a good idea but not always necessary.
