Outstanding service and exceptional food, as always.
Love the place .......I go there every time I am at Staples. And go to the BH store as well.
I always enjoy the Palm, my favorite one is in Las Vegas though, this location usually does a pretty good job, took some clients out, food and service was good, a fun waitress "Marrieta", I believe was her name, she did a great job. Some time this location really misses the mark according to my expectations, but not this time. A really nice experience.
Not what we expected from The Palm. They are living off their past glory, it seemed almost run down. Horrible ambience, big spaces with no decoration made it look gloomy and impersonal. The food and service were borderline bad, I will think twice before returning to any Palm location....!
Steak was undercooked, braised brisket was tough, salad soggy/wilted, didn’t receive appetizer ordered. Staff was very nice, drinks were good, but left unsatisfied as we did not have good meal.
We got our salads and then right after we started eating them our steaks came. And I had told our waiter we wanted everything coursed out. And then on top of that, they didn’t give us steak knives are two of our steaks were incorrectly cooked so they had to take them back. I guess that gave us time to eat the salads then! Our waiter was very nice and apologetic, though. Clearly a miscommunication in the kitchen. And our steaks were comped which was a nice remedy.
Chose to go there before the laker game. There are so many good choices in downtown, best to skip this one. Rude staff and my wife got sick eating a oyster.
Maria is a fantastic server. The food was great too!
Dmitri and the team at Palm are fantastic. Danya service was as always personable and perfect. I feel like I am part of the Palm family every time I go there. The food was also great! Thank you Palm for another great experience!
We visit The Palm DTLA every time we go to an event at the Staples Center. The food and service is always great. We even go prior to any Dodgers Baseball game we attend. They have a very nice selection of wine to choose from as well.
Amazing dinner/drinks/service before we attended kings game at staple center. Kevin was our server and he was great! Very attentive, accommodating and helpful. Thanks Kevin & the Palm!
The Strauss farm 8oz filet mignon was the best filet I’ve ever had. Wifey and I shared a 3 lb lobster which was equally wonderful. Salmon was a bit greasy. Overall a wonder experience and really a treat to experience.
Overwhelmed on New Year's eve, service was not as attentive as one would expect, but the food was fabulous, as always
we shall be back!!!
We used to love this place
For years now something I eat I’m not in love with
Brussels were mushy
Bread basket used to be aMaZING now just so-so
They’d have pretzel bread and black bread filled with raisins
It’s simply an average steak place with a steak place pricetag
Ceaser is still memorable but so tiny for 14.00, we ordered 2 each!
Portions are also smaller than they’ve been:(
We had a nice meal but I didn't think it was as good as their other locations.
Great, as always.
NYE Prix Fixe dinner. Surf/Turf Special. Overwhelmed by the size of the lobster. Great service. Also it helped that we found a really good bottle of wine (or two) at a very reasonable price and spent the dinner with two good friends.
An outstanding dining experience in every possible way.
By far, one of our favorite restaurants. We celebrated our daughter’s 18th Birthday. Exceptional dining experience!
Great place for that special occasion. Service was great!
My five pound lobster was 2-3 lbs. it was a joke and it’s happened before. Where’s the controls? The downtown Palm is by far the worst of the franchise. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Once Maestro and Capital Grill open you’re going to get killed. By the way if you’re going to screw around with the lobster weights, just say you’re out of the large lobsters!
One steak was overcooked. Waiter offered to have a new one prepared, but advised the kitchen was backed up and it would take a long time before we would be served the new steak. Mixed drink was all ice. Waiter did have the bartender re-pour the drink. Surprisingly mediocre effort and performance on Xmas night after the Laker-Clipper game.
Christmas dinner before the Lakers game with family. Food was terrific, restaurant was warm and cozy, valet service outstanding.
Kevin our waiter wasexcellent! He was a recent import from Chicago and was an excellent additionto LA downtown Palm.
Consistently solid food, but the service that day seemed way off. Took like twenty minutes to get the menus after being seated, and afterwards the waitstaff consistently ignored us during the water refill trips.
I felt like I was at a diner instead of a restaurant. From the entry through—Service was at best subpar. Thought I was talking to Flo from Mel’s Diner when at the table. I had to ask for bread plates. 5 minutes after bread was brought... Ordered a drink, server left EVERY empty wine glass on my table.... the list goes on.
The food was delicious, the service by Hunter was perfect, he was great. He made great recommendations and was super friendly, attentive and courteous. It was our anniversary, we arrived to our table to find a happy anniversary card signed by the staff and we also received a complimentary dessert.
Surprisingly the ribeye was not up to par as I’m normally use to from the BH location. Every time we asked for a refill of our drinks or any request our response was always “give me a few minutes we’re really busy” My date asked for horseradish for her steak and I asked for plain sour cream for my baked potato and me being allergic to horseradish I can tell the same spoon was used to fill my sour cream dish and her horseradish dish as my sour cream tasted like mid horseradish. The Palm is normally one of my favorite steak houses and I was looking forward to this dinner all week and I was left frustrated and disappointed. I never feel I over paid for a meal unless I have an experience like this one at one of my favorites.
The Palm in downtown LA is my favorite restaurant. New addition to the LA team from NYC, our server Ifa was terrific.
It was a perfect dining experience in a comfortable cozy boothe - the lighting was good, our waiter was very professional and experienced and made us feel very welcome. The food was all prepared and served the way we like it - deliscious!
Great Wedding Anniversary date night at The Palms!
Soup was cold and service took a while for a lunch meeting
It was pretty loud with quite a few parties. And the food temperature was not right. And vegetables were salty.
Very bad service. Waited for our food forever. No one was coming to check on us.
Can't wait to go back to The Palm. Everything was just wonderful - food, service, and valet parking makes parking so easy.
I was moved from table because the manager stated someone more important always sits at the table.
Service was disappointing. Had to complain a few times. First impression not good. Did not live up to reputation.
As a frequent diner, the staff was a bit off their game. Drinks were ordered and delivered incorrectly, one entree was delivered completely incorrectly. Regular aspects of the evening were great, as usual. A manager heard of our food and drink delivery difficulties and comped a dessert to make us feel a bit better.
