The menu has changed. Gone are many favorites!!! The food presented was very good,
Amazing service and ambiance. Relaxed, down to earth elegance. Our table had the filet mignon, salmon, cod, and lump crab cocktail as our entrees. All food items got two thumbs up. The calamari appetizer was solid. Great wine selection and suggestions by somalier. Carl, our server, was fun, professional, and attentive. We will be back again the next time we are in DTLA!
Dinner before a concert
Gigi salad was just perfect and the bacon slab was amazing.
Still can’t stop thinking about that tomahawk steak which was perfectly cooked
Horrible worst place to eat
Service was top notch ! Lobster was fabulous.
Drinks are creative and served professionally.
I had a friend's 40th bday there and it was amazing! Our waitress Maria was FANTASTIC! Make sure to ask for her :) Mario, the operating manager is doing a fabulous job! Food is top notch! Will be back!
The food is top notch, and always consistent. We can always count on the quality of the meal. It's also walking distance to the Staples Center where we watch the Lakers, Kings, and a concert or two.
Great for business dinner
Overpriced in comparison to other major steakhouses/similar restaurants.
I enjoyed everything about The Palm from the old-school aesthetic and hand-crafted drinks. I would say the steak wasn't the best for the value paid. The waitstaff was incredible. Sadly, it wasn't worth the $350.00 dollars I paid for two people.
Great restaurant, great service (very attentive but not intrusive), great ambience. Food was very good not great. Chicken parmesan was a bit too hammered (thin) and the garlic mashed potatoes were lumpy throughout. Shrimp cocktail, calamari and salmon were excellent and tasty.
The Palm made a very nice backdrop for an engaging conversation and dinner with my guest.
Everything was nice and my filet was perfect!
Jessica and the entire team were very attentive to us during our dinner. Food and beverage were EXCELLENT! Definitely, will return during the upcoming basketball and hockey season.
Food: Denny’s was better.
Service: waiters / waitresses last day?
Ambience: deathly quiet / no air conditioning, 80 degrees inside / workers seemed miserable.
Parking: none - you have to pay this creepy guy $10 cash (cash only) around the corner.
Final Advice: DO NOT COME HERE!
The service, quality of food and ambiance was absolutely top notch .
The filet was truly wonderful along with the nice portion of calamari and drinks .
This was our first time there and it will definitely not be the last. Going back very soon. Our server Juan was attentive and on top of everything.
The food and service was exceptional.
Our server was pretty good, but completely forgot to close out the bill and we had to chase down additional staff to close out our tab. Carl did pretty good but was horrible as closing, very poor performance.
The noise level was very loud for such fine dining. It felt like we weee at a Sports bar
Awful. 20+ year 837 Club Member. Not been since quarantine or new owner.
Will not be back. Prices raised 30% and terrible changes in classic menu items like the crab cake and potatoes.
It’s over. Good run.
Poor servers- doing their best to make excuses for new management.
Great experience all around, we will return soon!
Food was not that impressive for how expensive it was. Waitress was very rude. We asked if there was any way to not get peppers in calamari because of allergies and she told us we could pick it out ourselves. We asked twice and both times she said to just take the peppers out ourselves.
Dinner was terrific. The food was excellent, we got calamari, every salad on the menu and the veal parmesan. We got a bunch of sides too like the au gratin potatoes, asparagus, french fries and broccolini.
Everthing was great and the service was exceptionally good. Highly recommend this restaurant. There were 7 of us and they gave us an awesome round table in the back. It was perfect.
We always enjoy our time at The Palm. The staff is amazing and always so attentive to our needs.
The food was prepared perfectly. Absolutely delicious.
Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Great for get together with friends. Shele made our dinner so much more enjoyable.
Exceptional service, delicious entrées and sides. Amazing experience, in light of the Covid pandemic.
We ordered 4 pound lobsters they wore out so we had to got 5 pound lobster they were overcooked very
chewy. The steak was blend.
I have been going to the Palm for a five pound steamed lobster for 30 years. This time the waiter informed me that all of the lobsters had been prepped for broiling. Which meant that they were dead and split. The manager, Michelle, finally agreed to refund for the dry, tough and burned garbage they served. Regardless, perhaps because of the purchase by Landry, this is no longer a first class steakhouse. I will never return
We have been to the Palm in the past and I generally give it a higher rating. Last night was just not as good. We went looking forward to sharing some oysters and then Steak Tartare. They didn't have oysters and they weren't doing steak tartare that night either. No oysters as their supplier for oysters (and clams, mussels, etc...) did not show up that day. Ok, not their fault but a disappointment. Don't know why there was no steak tartare. Since their supplier didn't show up they also couldn't serve the Seafood Posillipo which my husband had wanted. We ordered salads, I had the mixed greens which was good. My husband ordered the Caesar salad with extra anchovies and when it came - no anchovies in sight. I ordered the veal chop and my husband ordered the lamb chops. My veal chop was very tough - like chewing shoe leather. There were a few somewhat tender spots, but it was a disappointing chop. The lamb chops my husband got were tender and flavorful. The three cheese potatoes Au gratin were very good as was the key lime pie. It was a disappointing night for us, but we will go back as we have usually had very good experiences on past visits.
The staff is wonderful, including the managers and wait staff, but the quality of the food and preparation of the food is not what it used to be.
Incredible Gastronomic Experience on all levels
Fabulous steak and wedge salad. Great service and atmosphere. The best ribeye steak I can remember having in decades.
Food is mediocre not good
Many choices on the menu. Food is beyond delicious. Had the filet mignon and lobster, cooked to perfection. 7 layer chocolate cake well, wish I had more.
We had a large party but service was slow and food tasted average. Pricey for what it is.
Food was great, ambience was great and our server Gabby was great. Definitely going back soon than later

Prices are very high and dinner are a la carte. Food is definitely not worth the high prices.
Steak wasn’t seasoned which seems like there is an assumption the diner will always get a sauce for it. But great steak should be able to stand on it’s own, especially given the types of cuts and price.
The people section:
Our waiter was a very polite and kind human, he had a lot on his plate as far as tables, so we will cut him a break on how often we were approached about our questions and ordering process.
The food section:
The asparagus was a bit plain (could have used a touch of salt or truffle/black garlic seasoning). It was still tasty, just not perfect. I ordered the 18oz NY Strip, cooked medium. It was indeed seared/rested properly and just about at a medium fineness. My better half indulged in the single serving crab cake with an aioli finisher, she enjoyed it (she’s not a seafood fan normally).
The restaurant vibe section:
The restaurant has a modern vibe with rustic bits present; many cartoons and renderings of those (I’m guessing) that have enjoyed dining at this establishment over the years. I found it not in the best taste, but not awful.
Overall, I would return, just with maybe some alterations to my own choices.
Thanks for reading!
Enjoyed very much
