Great food! They forgot part of our order initially but they worked hard to make it right!
Great as always. Enjoyed the meal and the service.
Withoutq a doubt the best staff and the best dining experience in L.A. E3 would be incomplete without a visit to the Palm!
Worst experience in 20 years bringing customers to the Palm ..... two days straight
Been coming every year for three days during e3
Not going back.
The Palm is my go-to place when conducting business in Los Angeles. Great food with a variety for all tastes and appetites and the soup is always delicious. The staff is attentive but not pushy and always does a great read of the table, whether you are celebrating or working intensely on a deal. Food - bone-in rib-eye never disappoints, but I also like the chicken parmesan.
Bar was filthy stained my shirt had to get a manager to get water
Brought a client, waiter told us we were too late for lunch though it didn’t end for 20 mins.
No one wanted to serve us.
Went back the next day stupidly with more clients
WAiter took my sandwich and brought the bill. I was maybe halfway through my meal.
What a joke. 20 years coming here annually such an embarrassment
Service by Maria was excellent. Filet Mignon cut like butter and was seasoned to perfection. Lobster was great also and great size (4lb). Also, can't say enough about the delish crab cake appetizer. Definitely a treat.
The Palm staff are wonderful as always - especially Greg, Julie and Marie.
Food and presentation were up to their high standards even for a luncheon meal.
Really appreciate the effort that Gina went to having my Caricature installed.
Thanks to everyone 👏
Never disappoints. Ordered the steak specials with salads and one side. Steak was done perfectly. One person had the tomato salad and crabmeat cocktail. Excellent. Our server, Andie, was delightful. Can’t wait to return
The Palm is at a convenient location for our events for the night. The portions are generous and the service was good. An additional bonus is the large parking structure right behind the restaurant.
Unfortunately the food was bland as if even a pinch of salt was a foreign concept. The Three cheese potatoes au-gratin were runny and bland except for the crust. The potatoes themselves were oddly cut like fries. A mushroom medley had potential but ended up bland tasting like mushrooms lightly sauteed in olive oil. Prosciutto green beans were basically steamed green beans with a dash of pepper and a small amount of bacon lardons.
Lobster was ordered by one of the diners and the staff were asked 3 times to de-shell it (when ordered, when arriving and once presented). The lobster looked like it was machete chopped down the middle and not cleaned at all. De-shelling consisted of tearing apart the larger joints.
The best item ordered was the chicken parmigiana and even then it was slightly over-cooked.
If the restaurant was busy it might be possible to forgive some items but our reservation was at 5:00pm and we were the second group in the restaurant. By the time we left, the restaurant was only 1/4 full.
Absolute ghost town for a 7:30 pm reservation on a Memorial Day. Still, we got the same outstanding service and attention that we always get. Currently there is a ton of construction going on and I guess on non-game/event nights that it's dead like this, but don't let that fool you. The steaks are perfection as is the rest of the food and drink. Service usually impeccable. One of the last of a dying breed.
Greatest server ever in this historic establishment that serves great food.
I would recommend the Palm, to a friend, the waiter Carl Sherwin was above and beyond excellent. Gave the Palm a very personable atmosphere. The food was good, the wine was excellent, the port over the top good, a must is the 7 layer chocolate cake.
The location was rather inconspicuous as we would have missed it if our driver had not pointed it out! It was a nice place with excellent service! Our waiter Carl was wonderful, being first timers, we went with all of his suggestions which were on point! Blackened Sea Bass, garlic whipped potatoes, Brussel Sprouts - all very tasty! The Donut Holes for dessert with the dipping sauce were heavenly!!!
The meal was wonderful, but I was surprised and found it a bit tacky for our waiter Alex to serve our party an amuse bouche that we had not ordered and then charge us for it. We assumed the little appetizers were complimentary in celebration of our friends' recent wedding.
There is no carpet at this location, and there are TVs with sports at the bar and near the entrance. There was a party upstairs that was a bit loud.
Another great night for us at The Palm! We were running late yet they saved our table, and then got our food out in record time so we could relax and enjoy it before heading to Staples for the Eric Church concert. The cocktails thrilled my table, and I loved the wine list with a very reasonably priced Chablis. Food as always was perfect, and I am pretty sure that is the best crab cake I have ever had.
Our favorite downtown place for a great dinner before an event in LA. Crab Cakes are as good as I have ever had anywhere, and while it is an amazing steak house don't overlook the Chicken Parmesan, it is a signature dish for them and is amazing!
The booths provide a wonderful private space for enjoying conversation and great food!
Went for Mother’s Day brunch. I looked at different brunch menus around downtown and their brunch menu was the best, and reasonably priced for being a higher end restaurant. Lobster bisque was delicious, my medium rare filet minion was cooked perfectly, creamed spinach was nice and creamy. My mom enjoyed her New York strip and made a comment about how refreshing her Bellini was. I concur with her review. The only item we both were okay about was the cheesecake. It was a little dry and crumbled when we tried to cut into it, but I wouldn’t say it was terrible. Jeffrey, our server was amazing. Very attentive and easy to talk to. He even spoke to my mom in Spanish, which made him even more charming. I will definitely consider returning.
This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The service was great and the company I shared dinner with was even better.
Never disappointed at The Palm.
Great food. Great service.
We had Hunter and he was on the spot.
He was fabulous. Ask for him.
Steak was cooked to perfection.
And the desserts were so yummy.
Great night our with friends.
We went to the Palm for the first time after my son's college graduation. Our waiter Hunter was awesome!! He was so happy and had a great laugh! The whole restaurant was full of other USC families celebrating also. GREAT night of fun, food, and celebration.
Old school charm in LA. Great steak, outstanding service
Amazing restaurant with very fun history! I got the lobster, it was huge!!!! Very delicious. I love this place because while it is pricey, they don't short you on the quantity or quality of food!! I also recommend the carrot cake.
Spectacular as always including food & service!
Our waitress was extremely nice & helpful with the menu. The food was also very seasoned & delicious. A must come back!
The Palm in downtown LA. Fantastic restaurant never fails to impress. Food is always consistently great. A must if your looking for a great lunch or dinner in downtown!!!!
Very good food need bus service to relax a bit but great place
Anniversary of our friends and I cannot begins to say thank you to staff for the lovely personalized note it was amazing
It was a good place to go, very interesting, but didn’t love the food or the service.
My wife and I are regulars at the Palm and love the comfort we feel when dining there. Regardless of what we order (chicken parmesan, baked potato, filet mingnon, lobster, adult beverages) everything is flawlessly prepared without fail. The staff has always made us feel at home through their friendly demeanor and great attitude. The Palm is our favorite dining destination. It is one of our guilty pleasures. That is why I feel compelled to write of the experience we had on May 3, 2019. This most recent visit was a complete departure from what we have come to expect from The Palm. Although we were greeted and seated in the normal fashion, the rest of our dining experience was the opposite from what we've come to expect from The Palm. Our drink order had to be taken by the manager who noticed we had been sitting for some time without being greeted by our server. When our server, Andy (5561), finally came she was very abrupt. Our drinks also sat empty for approximately 10 minutes before I asked for them to be refreshed. Our second round of drinks was not what we ordered when we pointed this out we were made to feel like a nuisance. We also had to ask for water, bread, and butter from a bus person (Andy never offered or brought these staple items). It was incumbent throughout the evening for us to initiate service. Even when eye contact was made she just ignored several times before returning. My wife and I understand when someone is having an off night. However, this was not the case, given that she was quite attentive to the party of five that were seated adjacent to our table. If our service was half of what we saw being offered to other customers, I would not have been compelled to write this review. Understanding the high standards that are expected of your establishment was another reason for the review. I would hope that management would like to be made aware of any service which reflects poorly on the restaurant.
Busy place, quick service, nice tables, Food decent but pricey
A great meal as always- the Palm’s lunches are wonderful value - and one does not hungry. We were meeting the restaurant ‘s events manager- Gina- to arrange a luncheon party for a Caricature hanging.
She arranged a full luncheon for about 20 guests - good suggestions were made.
Now to wait for the event in May.
The service was good but the meal was incredibly overpriced.
ALWAYS A GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE...THE PALM ALWAYS TAKES GREAT CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
We went there for Easter Dinner. It was great! Food was very very good. They treated us very well. We will go back.
Held a dinner here and used a private room. Everything was fantastic, service wonderful- very accommodating.
Nice ambiance and great service. Close to Staples Center so we were able to walk over. You can valet at the restaurant for $25 and leave the car there until your event is over. Food was good, we enjoyed it. Disappointed in the wedge salad. It has too many fried onions that bogged it down.
