The Palm Denver

We had a nice quiet dinner.
My wife and I have enjoyed the Palm in Denver 2-3 times a year or so over the last 4-5 years. The experience has always been 5 star at this Palm until this last dinner. Our wait staff was great at keeping up with us but the food fell down on timeliness. - It was VERY slow. I understand in an upscale restaurant, it isn't a matter of throwing food out as fast as possible as there is more to preparing this kind of quality food - but this was extremely slow. I thought, the restaurant was extremely slow for a Saturday night and I could not see any reason the food was so delayed. As a loyal 837 Club member, I will give them another try as certainly this could have been a one-off. The steak and lobster was fabulous as usual.
Great food and great service at a good price. Lobster was superb!
This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant! Food, service, ambiance all unhooked!
My 4th time eating at a Palm and it was equally delicious.
After sitting in a tar-like substance on the outside patio in brand new white pants, I spent 20 minutes in the restroom trying to get it out. I requested that my guest that I was waiting for be advised and she was not. The service was the worst I’ve experienced and I’ve been plenty of times. Had to request the bread basket, pickles/radishes and more water (everyone around us was getting theirs and we were seated before any other guests). Then my entree was served and was incorrect. Manager offered to pay for my dry cleaning but drycleaners isn’t sure they can get them clean. Also compd my lunch but it was a very unpleasant experience all around.
Ali and the rest of the staff were very accommodating for our business dinner.
We celebrated our anniversary and had a wonderful evening!
Ali does a great job as a server. Very friendly and explains specials along with the regular menu. Great restaurant for special occasions. Valet parking included is a plus.
Steaks were overdone. Hash browns were a sodium fest. Tasked like they were cooked with a blow dryer. Very unlike the DC or NYC Palm. Also, for a restaurant known for lobsters, they had no lobsters. $700 bill for 2 people ( that included 2 bottles or really wonderful wine-Caymus).
Good brand. But this outpost needs a management visitation from the mother ship.
Great table, superb waiter and helpers, amazing food, good recommendations from waiter, great wine but last bottle
It was my birtday
Great time with great service
We went there for the lobster festival, which is always a great deal. All four of us had the four pound lobster for 2. The service was great as was the meal. Of course we will go again.
Bigger lobster came after we complained
We went with 3 couples last Sunday night and all ordered the Lobster Special. The lobster was fine for everybody but my girlfriend's because when the waitress was cracking open her claw it fell on the floor and then went to get another on it took 15 minutes and was half the size of the one that fell on the floor.
Also, 1 couple ordered an expensive bottle of wine from the list and the last bottle was sold 2 nights before and the the other couple ordered a bottle of wine and they brought the wrong brand
The service was exceptional, though the food was unremarkable. We haven't been to the Palm for 4 or 5 years, but our previous experience was exceptional. Since them, they've remodeled. The lighting is too bright, where the old restaurant had a classier low-level lighting effect. Also, it's apparent that the much newer offerings have taken its toll as there were only a few occupied tables on a Saturday night. Yet, the increased competition hasn't affected the Capital Grille which is opened around the same time. We'll come back and try it again, as we don't let one less-than-perfect experience define a restaurant. Could've been an off night. The lighting was definitely too bright for a fine dining restaurant.
Always happy here. We had lunch and all had lobster, salad or sandwich. All was great as was our server Ali. Thanks to everyone there for a special lunch.
The service was slow. We were told after we ordered that what we ordered wasn’t available. That happened on both food & wine. Food was basic.
Food was a little disappointing as compared to the normal Palm experience.
I have been a client of the Palm for many years. The people are always friendly, lots of different and new faces. The servers had difficulty delivering the right meals to the people who ordered them, frankly a bit confused and seemingly not that concerned about the mix up. Overall the food was great. Always glad to catch up with business acquaintances who also frequent The Palm.
Excellent service (Thanks Jacob). Excellent meal
We have dinner at The Palm/Denver several times and plan to go back when we can sit outside on what looks to be a very nice outdoor patio area. They offer a nice menu and the service is very good.
Great food and service!!!
Everyone enjoyed their dinner and we were all surprised at the generous servings!!!
Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was above our satisfaction. Our meal was prepared as ordered and was delicious! The staff went above and beyond to insure our anniversary dinner was very memorable!
Great food and service as expected! Easy way impress clients and staff.
Delicious New York strip and wedge salad. Crab cake appetizer. Wedge salad dressing was a vinaigrette which complemented the blue cheese so nicely. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Not tough at all, as is sometimes the case with a strip. Crab cake a little overdone in the bottom but I like them that way so I was happy. Nice red blends by the glass. Total bill $156 and we split an appetizer, salad and steak and three glasses of wine. It was plenty of food.
Diner Staff were great very friendly and helpful but this place is so dated, usually Westin hotels are nice and modern.....we were only people in but the food was cold plus room was very cold 🥶
Back when the palm was first opened, and it was really the “it place” in Denver. The menu was very predictable, our food was good but nothing out of the ordinary, and the sides were mediocre.I will say that our desserts were really great, so perhaps go for a drink or dessert and coffee but we won’t be back for anything. There are just so many more restaurants in Denver that are such high-caliber in the same price range. When you compare it to Shanahan’s, Elways, Flemings, and other steakhouses, it just doesn’t compare for the price. This one needs to be put to bed.
Excellent and abundant food. Great service from Shannon and Ali.
Fantastic time. Entire staff were outstanding. Especially our server Ali, who was incredibly attentive, friendly and kind.
Love it there! Great childhood memories of the original location in NYC. Plus you still get a great dinner served by terrific servers. Ask for Cliff! You won’t be disappointed. But they have a great staff all around. Can’t wait to go back!
Loved it. Did my brothers graduation party here. Great food great place. Definitely going back.
Ordered a double kit New York strip steak for two medium rare plus. Arrived barely pink. Also our service was extremely slow. We didn’t receive our entrées until an hour after we were initially seated. We had only ordered one appetizer and we’re starving by the time her mail arrived. Bad service for a $400 dinner ! At the very least they should’ve brought a complimentary appetizer and apologized for the delay
Excellent food and service. A little chilly under the a/c
A little lower quality than was expected. They did a good job celebrating the birthday at the table, but the ambience was more family restaurant than steak house. Cocktails were disappointing for the price, but they did remake one when requested.
Great restaurant. Food is excellent. Nice views of the park (or ice skaters in winter). Service is very accommodating to whatever you need. Prime Rib is excellent, however you have to get there early else it runs out quickly so ask right when you sit down or if you have your heart set on it you can call ahead an reserve a piece! I'm also a fan of the Half & Half appetizer.
Steven was a very skilled, helpful server. His knowledge of the dishes we were considering from a culinary perspective was insightful and expansive. Overall, we had a tremendous time...it was much more than just a meal. Thank you!
Our wait staff, particularly the gentleman from Iran, was wonderful.
