One of my closest friends from college and I come to The Palm every year before walking over the American Airlines Arena to watch our beloved Boston Celtics play the Mavs. The food and atmosphere are always excellent, as is the service. But our server this year, April, went above-and-beyond-the-call. She was friendly, helpful and recommended an outstanding side dish for the 2 of us to try. It was terrific. So was April. Thank you.
This place is always good. With all the light bright places popping up. It's good to come "home" to The Palm's ambiance. Thank God there are places like this around still.
The waiter was inattentive and the food took forever. The lobster and steak was served first, and it took a few minutes longer for the sides. It did not matter because we did not have steak knives. The manager came over after the food arrived to apologize, and I informed her about the service and she apologized and said she would check back with us, but she did not. I had to ask for steak knives. For our steaks. After they came. In a steak restaurant! The manager took $25 off our bill. If we can afford to eat at the Palm, $25 off the bill really wasn't what we wanted. We wanted great service. We would have settled for good service. When we asked for the check, that took a while to arrive. They were not busy! My wife called back over the manager and asked if she could get the check (remember, she did not check back with us at all). I would not go back.
Great service, and quality dining experience in a wonderful location in downtown
I thought the experience level and attentiveness was not on scale of the Palm.
Great food and excellent service. Enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Easy to care on a conversation.
Amazing experience in every aspect from service, food, and atmosphere! Love the Dallas Palm Restaurant! Excellent for business, special occasion, or dining in general.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant, especially for their jumbo Nova Scotia lobsters and their prime aged steaks.
I felt the need to express my extraordinary displeasure with my dining experience this evening. I am a long time member of the 837 club and I've dined with the Palm for years, in multiple cities. I attempted to send a private email, but the contract page on the Palm website was not functioning. My wife and I and another couple arrived at the Palm in Dallas early this evening because we had an early show downtown. As such, we were actually the first group seated in the restaurant. My friend and I each ordered the $58 prime rib and each ordered it medium rare plus. Because we were early, we were probably the only order in the kitchen. When the food for our table came out together his prime rib was cooked to temperature. My prime rib, however, could in no way be considered any more done than rare, if that. We had to ask someone to find our waitress, but when we did, my meal was taken back to the kitchen while everyone else ate. After 5-10 minutes the same prime rib was returned to my table and it was still no more cooked than rare. I am talking dark red from top to bottom for everything except the very edges. It was not even approaching medium rare or honestly rare plus. Again, we had to track someone down to point out my meal was still inedible. The prime rib was again taken back to the kitchen and was gone for more than ten minutes. During that time, my wife and our friends all virtually completed their meals. When the prime rib was returned it was still the same cut of meat, now with slices throughout from a multitude of testing. This time, the prime rib was well done and I feel certain it was microwaved. If anyone has ever reheated steak by microwave, it has a distinct taste of heat and dried out meat. I am not sure if the cook was angry that the prime rib was returned twice or if no one even attempted to verify the temperature before serving the meal. Regardless, it was still virtually inedible and overall an immensely disappointing meal.
We always have a great experience! Lacy was great!
Great service waiter was very knowledgeable of the food and wine
Fabulous as always. Great food, great service, great restaurant.
the palm is a longtime stand by. it is historic ,it is great. service is wonderful. it is expensive. but its the PALM!!! you leave happy, because you were attended to, they said mr. (your last name), they took care of you and you know your special occasion was memorable to you and the staff.
wonderful as always for food, atmosphere and service
we were there for a Christmas office lunch and had a great time... service was great and food was really good ! atmosphere is iconic.... lots of fun!
We have been coming here for a while and even became members. However after making a reservation almost 3 weeks in advance we shoved off into some table near the front door when it was freezing outside and was told a fable about an entree that was removed from the menu. So needless to say we won't be coming back and have discontinued our membership here as well.
Very disappointing. Parking is limited, so valet is a must. Inexplicably, the Palm booked quite a few private parties and didn't have sufficient valets on hand, so the valet refused to park cars and my guests and I were forced to drive around to find remote parking lots.
Our meal was really good! The salmon and veal parmigiana was excellent. The bread and sides were good too. Waiter was entertaining and got the job done. Good place to dine!
consistently good, always. you can count on Palm in any city
Waiter was extremely helpful.
Really enjoyed The Palm. Great service.... The Asparagus was awesome!!!!..... Just wished they had put my pic on the wall!!
Hemos ido muchas veces y como siempre el ambiente, el servicio y la comida excelentes. Todo maravilloso!
We sat at our table for about 10 minutes and the only person to stop by was our bus boy to pour water. Once he showed up, our waiter was very attentive. Lobster bisque was excellent. My wife's prime rib was a perfect medium rare. My New York strip was supposed to be too, but it was over cooked to medium. Lobster man and cheese was excellent too.
Overall, I would give the experience a B.
My first cousin came in to town with his girlfriend, unannounced, on a busy pre-Christmas weekend, lots of company parties and no open tables anywhere special. They wanted seafood or Mediterranean. Managed to get reservation at the Palm. Had not been there in 15 years.
Was great choice. Excellent drinks, wine, food, and service. Waiter didn't bug us to death, let us take our time and enjoy our company. Crab-cake stuffed salmon was to die for. We all ordered across the menu, and nothing was bad.
We're older folks, 55 and up, prefer no loud "music" over our conversation. There was no music, period. How tasteful. Low light, warm ambiance. We'll be back sooner this time.
The key lime pie was nothing to call home about, but then, key lime rarely hits the perfect note does it?
We go to the Palm for the food which is always great
Incredible dining experience. Everyone from the Host/Hostess to the manager and wait staff was efficient, smiling and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food was so good. Try the creamed
None of my guests had any complaints with the food. We had impeccable service. The lighting was a little darker than expected, but over all the facility is great. We will definitely be back.
Went to The Palm for my husbands surprise
Birthday dinner. I had been there once, but he had never been. It was great, the service was amazing, ask for Kirk as your waiter. The food was great. I had a New York strip with lobster macaroni and he had filet mignon with whipped garlic mashed potatoes. A friend of ours surprised us and bought us a bottle of moscato as a birthday gift and we topped it off for sure. The entire night was spectacular. Definitely a place for a date night, business dinner, birthdays, and more. I'd give this place 1,000,000 star rating if I could. Definitely worth the drive.
The Palm is the greatest! I loved the Power Lunch with the filet mignon medallions. Service is great too.
The palm always delivers, if you want 100% quality reliability just go to the palm thanks marks
Service perfect everything was cooked absolutely fabulous!!!
I took my family there for Thanksgiving dinner while visiting Dallas. Everything was wonderful. The waiter was great and the food was delicious. It's pricey but I knew that before I went and we got what we paid for.
Great food, great service. One of my favorite Palm restaurants!
I have eaten at The Palm many times and it has always been top notch. With that being said, we were extremely disappointed on Thanksgiving day. Each of us ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. We waited an hour and a half before the entree was served! The turkey tasted like it came out of a can. We never got cranberry sauce as listed in the menu. It probably could have helped offset the taste of the turkey.
Way too expensive for the quality of food... Was disappointed. Steak was okay, nothing special at all for $50. Creamed spinach was not good. Server tried selling us their 'dining club' membership, which was inelegant. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Sat night between 6:30 and 8:30... Should have known better. Won't be back.
Very welcoming. Gracious service. Very tasty food. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Fabulous time and food as always! Love this place! The food is amazing and the waitstaff is incredible!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend the Palm restaurant – Dallas.
