Went for mothers day and as usual the food and the service were top notch. We always appreciate the quality of the food and the diversity afforded our large group. Its always fun to go to an old style steak house where the meals are sized to insure you dont leave hungry and service is as important as the food. The blackened sea bass is as good as you can get anywhere.
My prime rib was good, but the rest of the meals weren't great but just okay. MY main complaint is the noise level, you basically have to yell at each other to be heard, not good.
My wife and ate prior to a performance. We were late due to traffic and the host was VERY understanding and helpful. Once there they greeted us with a warm welcome. The ribeye was amazing and the lobster mac & cheese. My wife enjoyed the Lobster but the winner was the steak. Great food and service!
The Palm was awesome for our date night. The service and food never disappoints. I would go there every week if I could! Love!!
food was excellent!!!!
service was awesome.
everyone very friendly
Not my first time to visit but it has been a long time, I know it will always be a good experience. The best in town!
The lobster was fresh and generously portioned. The fresh bread basket was hot and the sourdough was great.
The only complaint is, I asked the waiter for a glass of their house red wine to pair with my filet. He brought me a 9oz. carafe of I still don't know what vintage it was, and charged us $29. If their house wine is $30 a glass, I would hate to see what they charge for a decent vintage. The food was tasty, the service was attentive and we would return.
April (server) and Lauren always make our visit special
Excellent as always and as expected
I have been a fan of The Palm in Dallas since the 80's. This was the first time I was ever told that there was no bread...they had run out! This was at 7pm! Not good. Perhaps next time.
A wedding rehearsal dinner is a once in a life time event and so problems are magnified is scope and significance. The set-up was delayed, Palm audio visual failed to work, bar service was slow / unreliable and wine selections unavailable. It was a very rough start to a once in a lifetime evening. The wait staff endeavored to recover admirably, manager was responsive and empathetic - but, 5% administrative charge was not earned.
April was the best server we have had at any Palm location. She's a real asset to the location. Steak was perfect and so was the 3lb lobster.
The Palm is a go to for special occasions. They never let us down and always Get it right.
Disappointed - again!
We booked the Palm for Easter Sunday lunch with the family (party of 8). I have been a long time fan of The Palm - best lobster around for sure!
Decided to give this location another try for Easter Lunch after another miss-fire on my last visit. Bread service was not offered until we asked. We were told they were out of bread - REALLY?!? Then a few minutes later we were brought a basket of bread and were told is was heels. That was not the case. The bread was fine, but so unusual that we had to ask, then told no, then brought bread. This was the way service went for the rest of the meal... constantly had to ask for things. Even though it was a light crowd, our server seemed to be scrambling the entire time.
When our entrees came out, no one asked us to check our steaks. My wife's filet was ordered medium and it was well done. It took several minutes to flag down our waiter and then she was not served a proper steak until everyone else had completed their meals. I ordered the special of the day which was the 16oz Roasted Prime Rib served with Prosciutto wrapped asparagus and horse radish cream. I saw this dish served to another table and it looked wonderful, so I decided to give it a try. The meat was served to the ordered temp (MR) but the asparagus was not wrapped as described and as served on the other plate I saw. I pointed this out to the waiter at the same time we returned the filet. Shortly thereafter, he brought be out a couple of pieced of prosciutto on a plate...yes, cold and on a plate. Like I was supposed to wrap and grill it myself! I told him that was ridiculous and to take to away.
I frequent other locations around the country during business travel and I never have these issues. For 20 years I have been visiting the Dallas location but it just hasn't been up to the same standards. For me, I'm done here. At this price point, you don't get to make these kinds of mistakes. There are too many options available.
The food and cocktails were jut what we were looking for. Nice to be seated in a booth.
My wife and I had a great time. The customer service there tops any 4 star restaurant I have ever been to in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I love it and we will be back.
This was the second time at the Palm and each time it is better -- can you say Lobster!!!!! MY MY MY....
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant
Wonderful time and food, as always. Love the lobster.
The food and service are always great. A little pricey but the waiters are always excellent and friendly.
We had not been to the Palm in a long time and were all very pleased with the food and especially our server April. She was attentive and informative with a great fun attitude, all servers should be like her. Food was prepared well and fresh and tasty. We will not forget the palm again. See you soon.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant
Tremendously good service, great food and wine. One of my guests asked for a salad not on the menu and he was accommodated no questions asked. Others mixed and matched entrees with the same pleasant response. Lots of places for dead cow downtown but hard to find service this good.
We are never disappointed by the food or the service at the Dallas Palm. 26 oz bone in prime rib was masterful, 3 cheese au gratin potatoes superb, soft-shell crab appetizer recommended by our server top notch! This is our GO TO restaurant for over 20 years to celebrate special occasions.
Service was very professional and courteous. My waitress was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We will return.
Always fantastic and classy. The Palm never disappoints.
The food was excellent and our server April (bartender also) was outstanding in providing for our every need.
The Palm has dropped in quality. A $19 salad should be special--not average. 3 salads, 2 desserts, 3 drinks, over $100 tab. Could be justified if food, service and ambiance were above average--none were. Server casual and flip, which is fine for a group out for a social outing. Not so much for a business lunch.
Excellent as usual. Great food. Excellent service. Great staff
Disappointed in the service and the ambiance of the restaurant that evening. Loud to the point my husband and I could not talk. Service was rushed.
The Palm has great food and great service. Best lobster in the DFW area! Check out their summer lobster specials. We drive an hour from Fort Worth just to eat there. Tonight we had Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Cakes, Lobster, and Green Beans. All delicious.
ON pulling up to the Palm, the Valet greeted us in a professional and friendly manner. When we entered we were greeted by both of the hosts and given a choice of a booth or table. The hostess spent a few minutes getting to know us at the table and advised us who our waitress would be. Laci was our waitress and she provided an exceptional level of service! She made recommendations which included a wine by Clark and Telephone, Belle Glos Pinot Noir. It was fantastic and went well with our lamb. When I made reservations I requested that they have a special birthday dessert for my fiancee and they went over and above with my request. I highly recommend this restaurant and when you go ask for Laci!
My fiancé and I's experience was great. The waitress did an amazing job and the food was great. It was a perfect late valentine day date. I will definitely go back!
This was definitely the right place to go for a special occasion. The service was great as well as the food! This was by far one of the best steaks I've had.
Great wait staff and great manager.Everybody tried so hard to be accommodating and courteous!!!!
The service was impeccable from the waiter, Sammy. Very informative about menu offerings and able to recommend dishes to me and my date as first-timers at Palm restaurant. Loved the atmosphere plus intimate setting. Bussers/drink refillers were extremely prompt.
Had not been to this restaurant in 30 years, Valentine had never been so I thought it would be a nice surprise. Food was middle of the road for upper end Steak houses around town but price much higher and therefore, poor value. Restaurant needs interior update badly.
We love the Palm, especially for lunch. The food is great and the service is great. Even when their are a lot of people, you still feel like you can carry on a conversation. Their only flaw in this visit was sitting us next to the reception desk, even though there were plenty of tables. Once they moved us away, it was all good.
