It was a very pleasant experience , service was great, food tasty and we were surprised to be offered complimentary extras of our favorites ( finger sandwiches ,scones or sweets). The selection of teas was amazing. The place itself is a bit dated in a way that don't add to the "old world" charm but overall it looks great.
We go to the Palm Court every year (when there’s no Covid!) for our daughter’s birthday. Now her 2 children accompany us. It is a delightful experience and we throughly enjoy the tea. Our waiter was excellent and recognized us from previous visits. The staff are most accommodating and attentive. Highly recommend it!
Weekend trip to Chicago. First trip for the kids. Afternoon tea and our stay at The Drake was amazing!
Facility need better maintenance. Carpet was dirty with food scums. Tables are really close to each other.
I would never go back. The food was dry and tasteless. Our server was rushed and didn’t care. We wanted a relaxing tea service and felt like we would have had a better experience at McDonald’s, plus the price for what we got was astronomical!!!!!!
Great service and ambience. Really enjoyed the tea.
First high tea - elegant and refined. A dignified way, to catch up with friends; abit pricey but a worthwhile experience.
Comfortable seats, attentive service, excellent food - served hot - which is not the case in many restaurants. Live music (Friday and Saturday) added to the festive atmosphere. We will definitely come back.
High Tea was a marvelous experience and well worth it.
A wonderful regal experience at the Drake Hotel. My three daughters treated me for my 60th birthday and it will be something I will always remember. Highly recommend.
My 11-year-old granddaughter and I have been coming to tea annually since she was 5. It is a highlight of her year.
Thenn be palm court I’d a terrific place for special occasions and an oasis of calm and loveliness in our frenetic world
I realize the pandemic has been difficult for restaurants, so I don’t want to be too critical. The ambiance was lovely, the service was ok, but the food was terrible. The savory parts were tasteless, the scones were dry as sawdust and literally crumbled into pieces, the muffins were the kind you buy in a 2-pack at the check-out counter at 7-11, and the desserts were awful.
Took my boyfriend here for our anniversary. It is an amazing atmosphere. Very sophisticated and elegant. Wonderful and attentive staff, and good food and tea! Will definitely be visiting again.
Enjoyed the service. The food was similar to other afternoon teas I have been to. Appreciated having a second serving of sandwiches and scones at no extra charge. Would return. Noise level was a bit high.
Came with older friends with mobility challenges. While the hotel staff were terrific, the facilities just aren't sufficient for those who have physical limitations. Additionally, the noise level made most of the evening, which were friends visiting, nearly impossible to enjoy.
We had an amazing experience celebrating the birthday if my friend visit from Europe. The waiter went above and beyond and was extremely helpful and attentive. Will definitely come back.
Years ago I took my daughter to high tea at the Drake. 7 years, age 25, she asked me to take her back. It was just as wonderful as it was the first time.
We were discussing that this would be an excellent first date, great atmosphere, elegant, and allows for conversation.
I am sure, later in life, she will bring her children here.
Wonderful experience all around! Staff was professional and attentive! Food was fabulous. The harpist creates the ultimate ambience! An elegant touch! We’ve made precious family memories celebrating special events and milestones over the years.
THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! Our server made it known that she hates her job or us and she didn't care cause an 18% gratuity was added on because we had 7 people at our table. I had been to the palm court for afternoon tea and wanted to share the fun with friends. But our server just ruined the whole experience and I will never go back there. There's plenty of other afternoon tea places to visit.
Ambiance, service, food, experience, 5 stars. The harpist was the best part but everything was outstanding.
Food quality was terrible. Yea was great, service and ambience excellent.
Stunning. Such a wonderful way to celebrate a friends birthday
A delightful retro experience. Gorgeous decor. The food was nice, but not quite as perfect as the place, still very pleasant. The scones were just a bit stale, and the pastries not perfectly fresh. The sandwiches were perfect, and the citrus Oolong tea a lovely surprise
It was beautiful and perfect for tea time! Such a special place to go for a little splurge!
Delicious bites and teas while enjoying a harpist. The floral arrangement is a stunning centerpiece to the room
Celebrating sending my son off to college in Chicago!
The Palm Court at the Drake is a wonderful place for a special occasion or just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Everything about our experience was perfect - from the harpist to the birthday cake surprise for my friend to the excellent but unobtrusive service. The Palm Court at the Drake continues to be our “go to” spot!
We went for my birthday and it was better than I thought it would be!!
My first time getting English tea. The experience did not disappoint and the tea and food was excellent. The waitress was outstanding. The only downside was the price.
The wait staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. They were wonderful in accommodating our vegetarian diet and my nut allergy. Great experience with superior service. Will definitely return to experience it again.
We had a wonderful experience at afternoon tea. The harpist was amazing.
I would highly recommend high tea at Palm Court. We had a lovely time with great service and ambiance. The harpist was wonderful and we throughly enjoyed the tea and treats.
I love this place. Its so beautiful and amazing. Its a nice thing to experience.
The room and service were excellent. The food was not as great and not worth the high price.
Surprise 52nd Birthday celebration with out-of-town, high school friends.
Afternoon tea with my daughter was a treat! The room was gorgeous, greatest of service (thank you, Aszmir) and delicious food!
Daughters going off to college
The service, food, ambiance was amazing. We also saw the live harpist who made our afternoon tea experience just perfect!
It is always a wonderful time having afternoon tea at The Palm Court. The staff is very attentive and always go out of their way to make the time there truly special.
