Great food and great service, as always. Sorry to hear that you will be closing for a few months but look forward to coming back when it is finished.
Can’t say enough good things about the Palm! My favorite restaurant in Chicago. Ask for Julia as your server. You cannot go wrong!
We sat at a booth which was right next to another booth. When the people at the booth behind me moved, it felt as if I were on an airplane being kicked from the seat behind. Horrible. The New York strip steak was dry. Would not recommend under any circumstances.
Fuimos para una Cena familiar, el seaBass muy rico al igual que los calamares fritos.
El cóctel de camarón no nos encantó, estaba sin sabor
Always love a trip to The Palm. They are about to do a total re-model and renovation of the restaurant and will be closed until early April of 2018. It will be new and nice so plan to come see it and dine with this great place.
We went to The Palm for Christmas dinner and Lobster. The only reason to go to The Palm is the Lobster. Christmas and they had NO Lobster.
They are about to remodel so be careful to be sure they are open before you try to go.
I hope they don't take away the cozy feeling when they remodel.
Love this place. Can’t wait to see it reopen after renovation
The food was good but not outstanding like the DTLA location.
Amazing lobster bisque soup was phenomenal
THE SCALLOPS WERE AWESOME AND THE STEAK WE HAD WAS VERY GOOD. SEASONED TO PERFECTION. WOULD RECOMMEND AND WILL RETURN ON NEXT TRIP INTO THE CITY
Asked for rib eye medium and it came out almost rare. Waiter checked on us maybe 3 times, but was nice. Bus boy took plates and we didn't get to take any of the $60 prime rib home. Overall so disappointed. Sad that chicken parm was better than the ribe eye !
Very disappointed. Despite a reservation made weeks in advance, we were shunted off to an adjunct dining room. It was cold, almost empty, and service was poor. It was as if we were seated at the Kid's table. I will not go back.
Valet parking was horrible. Took 1.5 hrs to get car. Made overall experience even worse.
It was the worst business luncheon ever! We waited 40 minutes for a salad and two hamburgers. When our meals finally arrived the hamburgers were not cooked as ordered. The well done burger was rare and the medium/rare burger was well done. The burgers were sent back and arrived 15 minutes later. The manager did come up to apologize and they did comp our meal, but to wait an hour for a simple lunch is totally unacceptable. Furthermore, there was a door that continued to stay open near our table that sent in a draft. We asked numerous times for the door to remain closed. My colleague then began getting up and down to close the door. It was an absolutely terrible experience!!
The salad and bacon appetizer was very good the Scallops appetizer was mediocre and my 18 oz strip was below average and my dates Ahi Tuna ordered medium was well done over cooked and dry. No drinks and bill was $209.00 for a crummy meal. The only other thing we had was hash browns and two diet cokes. I indicated it was our anniversary that must have fell the the cracks also. The only reason I ate there was every place I like was booked on short notice and than afterwards it dawned on me you never hear about the place or nobody every mentions or recommends it, duh!
Excellent experience. Thank you for a great meal and great service.
Phillip, the manager is a gracious host and the serving staff is top notch. A lot of great steak houses in Chicago but service and friendliness sets the Palm apart.
Chris was an amazing waiter
We love going to this restaurant especially in summer for the outdoors and for the Mag Mile Lights Parade. Perfect location to see the tail end of the parade, the fireworks and a quick dash into the restaurant. Delicious food that is sharable and love the wine list.
Again, left very satisfied with my meal and service.
Fantastic experience.
Will return when in Chicago again.
Real old fashion professional Servers.
Excellent wedge salad. Carrot cake was delicious.
The garden salad was overly dressed and too strong from the overuse of vinegar. The bread basket was not delivered until I asked but it took into the middle of the meal to flag someone down to ask for it.
Magnificent as always . Our favorite !!!!!
Excellent food, service and ambiance!
We have always enjoyed The Palm in Dallas but that one has closed.
We were not dissapointed in Chicago. Great service and food was excellent.
They added a new bread to their bread basket, wonderful!
Great food, excellent service,Tomas our waiter is terrific
One of the best steak joints in Chicago. Always reliable. My Wagyu prime rib was perfectly cooked and complimented by the delicious bearnaise sauce, great fries and creamed spinach all of which I recommend.
The palm did a fantastic job for my wife’s birthday. Will see you soon again
The server was very good. The food was disappointing. Filet was over cooked and not charred. It was a light gray on outside. Brussels sprouts were undercooked and crunchy. The Palm salad was under dressed and was almost all palm hearts. I could not complain because I was at a business dinner and would not want to embarrass my guests. Thankfully the server did not ask about the food. When I checked with my colleague (who is an 837 Club member and recommended we go to your restaurant) after dinner she had the same complaints, and also that the creamed spinach was all cream and that this experience was nothing like the exceptional food and service at the NYC Palm locations.
Decor is very outdated. The paint on the wall of our booth was chipping & dirty. The lampshade was filthy. My halibut was over cooked. My husband's Wagyu was good but not great. The mushroom soup was very good, as was the bacon appetizer. Our waiter was very accommodating & friendly. He comped our desserts on account of the halibut... which was very nice. Key lime pie & creme brûlée were very good.
Good suggestions from our server for in-season and gluten-free options. Lobster salad was incredibly delicious and the flan and flourless chocolate cake were a good finish to a relaxed business meal.
The Palm has great Veal Parm, but the portion is half what used to be. The Chicago location is convenient to several large conference hotels.
I came to Chicago on a work trip and stayed in the Swissotel with my group. This was my first trip to the Palm restaurant and will definitely return. I had a special that was not listed on the menu that consisted of a petite filet mignon and a lobster tail. It was superb and cooked just the way I ordered, which seems to be difficult sometimes. The food was fantastic. The wine list is quite extensive so I had my colleague pick out a nice red and we were very pleased with the Duckhorn Merlot, and was fairly priced. Lastly, service. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and very sweet. After asking me if it was my first time, she went over the entire menu and answered all the questions that I had patiently. When the food came out, we had 3 servers bringing out plates and serving the sides, which was really a nice touch. Overall food and service was fantastic and very accommodating, I will definitely be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious cuisine, expert staff!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!
We were here to celebrate my dad's 70th. A group of 10 - all ages. The Palm was perfect. At our request We were given a table on the back so we felt like we had a private room. Everyone could hear and visit. The good was great. The service was impeccable. Ruben our waiter is an attentive professional!
The food was very good but the service was mediocre. The wait staff were rather cool and distant, almost as if we were interrupting their evening plans by being there. We will not make any effort to return based on this experience. There are some fabulous restaurants in Chicago and our other dining experiences, ( Benny's Chophouse and Mon Ami Gabi; as well as some casual places) were truly outstanding overall compared to our night at The Palm.
We had an excellent experience. Our server was very attentive and very accommodating
Excellent services . Steaks are fantastic. Great ambiance
Food is way overpriced. Server was not very attentive especially since they were slow.
