They were out of both crab and lobster. At 6:00 pm.
Great food! Great ambiance! Outstanding service!! Our server (forgot his name) was awesome!
My sister and I took our mother here for her birthday dinner and it was amazing! From the customer service the ambience and the food everything was beautiful the food was delicious and we had an amazing time. This might be our new favorite and we definitely will be coming back.
Loved the service and courtesy of this establishment. Highly recommend the Crab meat cocktail as a starter.
all of the portions seemed to have shrunk since the pandemic started.
my salmon was overcooked so they replaced it so I food for lunch today.
the lamb chops and the veal chop were excellent as were the vegetables.
the chopped salad portion was quite small with a little too much vinegar.
the carrot cake was half of its old size but still it was enough
Ribeye not up to Previous Palm standards. Too much fiber running thru steak. Disappointing
Servico our server was outstanding
Our server was absolutely professional, expedient and very friendly. Our food was incredible and we really couldn’t complain even if we wanted to!
Great restaurant, but the food was not up to palm standards. Will still come back
The steaks were below average. Service was slow. We did say we were pressed for time
I usually don't write reviews, but I am inclined to call this one out. The food was inedible. We usually go to Mastros across the street but took a chance here given the history, and this being around the same price range. I expected so much better. My $72 steak had no taste, the salad was overdressed, veggies overcooked and dessert left much to be desired. I wish I could have gotten my money back.
The "medium" steak we ordered was bunt and leathery for the 1st 2 layers, then a small red dollop in the middle. Not even sure how this was cooked this way. Scallops wear mediocre as well as the Au Gratin potatoes. This was the worst food experience we have ever had. The staff was nice and the manager did offer to make us a new steak, but everything was so terrible up to that point we simply asked to leave. Never done that at a restaurant before.
Always reliable. My go to kitchen. Maintained standards in spite of change of control. The best steak in town. Terrific ambience, friendly and attentive waiters, great service.
Because of Covid we sat on the patio. It was very noisy and loud which unfortunately affects the enjoyment of the meal. This has become the new normal! Everything was still enjoyable but inside it certainly kicks it up several notches
Service with Elizabeth wonderful but food not good, waited over 30 minutes for two cobb salads only three tables in restaurant...sad to see a landmark restaurant go downhill..
So glad I can get a glass of Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc with my Gigi salad!!
Service was not up to standard. It took 30 i items to get a drink and then we waited a long time, probably an hour before we ordered anything . Then ordered and appetizer and waited again to order dinner. We had to speak with the manager, who then took our order. We sat down at the table at 7:30 and did not get food u til 9:30. This was not the type of service we have been used to at The Palm. Very disappointing as it was our friends birthday and we recommended dining at the Palm.
we were seated on time Nice server. Had to find someone to fill our water glasses. My salad came without some of the ingredients. Had to ask for salad dressing 2X. French fries were served cold. I sent them back for hot fries.
My husbands lobster wasn't good. We didn't complain that night since we were being treated for his birthday.
My husband called a few days later and had a talk with the manager. Not up to The Palm standards.
Service at glacial speed b y the server who performed lengthy disappearing acts.
Food? good but accompanied with limp French fries.
Very classic and sophisticated
Megan was our fabulous server. Our somewhat complicated order was delivered in the perfect sequence with perfect timing. Drinks were amazing!
The food is exactly as I remember from the Palm of fifty years ago. Generous portions, perfectly cooked.Meat cooked to the temperature we asked for.
It is my ardent hope that Palm remains the last bastion of the traditional American Steakhouse.
One more thing: Palm is one of the few remaining restaurant that is quiet, Thank you for that.
We'll be back
We came for a late night Birthday dinner and unfortunately we did not know they would be completely empty on Friday night at 10:30pm (last seating) and they should not even allow reservations to come that late if they will literally be staying open just for 1 table. The waiter was rushing us to put in our complete order and basically said we could only get the filet butterflied because did we didn’t it would take 35 min and maybe he was being rushed by the kitchen and chef (who cooked all our food immaculately btw it was delicious) but nevertheless it wasn’t a birthday dinner experience we were hoping for. There are many other options that are still busy and have many more tables and won’t make you feel like a burden. The people who greeted us at the front were super kind and the valet was super nice as well as the food being cooked to perfection. Would def recommend but go early like no later than 8pm lol
Too bad they don't do anymore the Mac and Cheese ...
I ordered the Steak salad. It was inedible. The meat was too chewy, and the dressing was horrible. Too much of garlic taste! They changed the recipe and made it worse. After returning the steak, I ordered a Gigi salad. Again, inedible! I am not sure why the new owner changed the recipe of the delicious salad dressing. Going downhill all the way!
Excellent food, service and value. This is still my favorite steakhouse. Reminds me of my old hangout on second ave.
Service and food at lunch was excellent…we ate on sidewalk as it was a nice day as usual. The complimentary Amuse Bouch steak tartar was Fantatic!
Amazing experience and service was excellent
Amazing five pound lobster…..it was delicious!!!! Started with shrimp cocktail…..four huge shrimp and amazing cocktail sauce. Gigi and wedge salads were fabulous. The only disappointment were the sides….creamed spinach was very heavy and the green beans were too oily. Overall….a memorable dinner.
Crab legs lobster and prime rib were great but the my steaks were overdone.
Great place for having a nice steak
A classic with great food and fantastic service. There's new management and some changes so you'll need to be patient through the transition but their lobsters are amazing and their wine list is formidable.
Sorry, but the food was just so-so. Service was excellent, love the new place, but came for the food.
Bread was day old.
Starters were ok, but not the usual mind blowing awesome.
Steak was good but i was expecting great.
Dessert was awful. (creme brûlée).
It's not like I won't go back but since the new ownership (Landry?) took over ... you feel it.
This ain't my Daddy's Palm.
Great lobster and Service!!!
Great food. Restaurant was very quiet but service and food were excellent. The chicken parmigiana was amazing.
The entire staff was amazing and the food was spectacular. Shout out to our server Kat for her excellent service and recommendations of what to see during our trip to Beverly Hills. The manager also helped out by sending the “mayor” to our table to advise us on the nightlife. I would definitely come back to this outstanding establishment.
We usually love the Palm but tonight they were way overbooked and way under staffed and the simple classic Palm dishes we ordered took way too long to come out. I hate having to fill up on the bread basket to fill the time and hunger.
