   I’ve been to this restaurant several times never received the quality of food that I received yesterday. The kids Alfredo was completely dry. Lamb chops came out, They were nice hot. The size was completely cool. I called the service and he said they would make me a whole new fresh one about two minutes later he came out with old cold lamb chops and heated up the string beans and risotto from the microwave.

   Service by Youshy was phenomenal! Calamari was “rubbery” but we did not complain. We had better at other fine restaurants. Beef osso bucca was perfect, fell off the bone tender & ribeye Oscar topped was excellent.

   What a wonderful restaurant in Atlantic City. A real hidden gem. Amazing staff from the GM on down. We were made to feel like valued customers (pretty rare these days in AC). Our food was prepared perfectly and tasted exactly as it should. …. except better. The desserts are to die for.

   We usually have steaks. Remember it is the Palm. But the Palm started out as an Italian restaurant I think in the 20s so they have some great Italian dishes. We decided to go Italian. My wife had a unique lasagna and I had osso bucco. Both terrific. Try them next time.

   Happy hour at the Palm Bar was fantastic. Mary Lou as always was the best. Great drinks, great apps.

   We decided to have a few drinks at bar while waiting for our other dining partners. Instead of a warm greetings our bartender said I’m going to take your water bottle because you can’t bring outside drinks in and before we could respond he snatched the bottle. He returned a few minutes later to take our drink order. As he made our drinks he cracked a case of large cubed ice and dump the cube onto his bare hand and place the cube in a glass. Mortified we canceled our drink order and asked for a new bartender. This gentleman could not have cared less. He offered no apology and walked away. This unfortunate incident colored the rest of our evening unfortunately. I wouldn’t return to The Palm and would actively encourage others to avoid it.

    The restaurant was over half empty and we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and then waited another 20 minutes until our drinks came. We all ordered steaks and lobster. The New York strap was ordered, medium rare and it came out well done they took it back And then brought out another New York strip that was rare. There was a large lobster tail with crab meat that only had a few bites out of it when unbeknownst to us a waiter had taken it away without asking the two people that were sharing it. We have always loved Palm restaurants but after that experience, we would never go back.
