The Palm Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
Food came out cold. Waitress never brought our ordered sides. When she finally came by to check on us, about 20 minutes later, I changed my order to a filet minion cooked medium. It came out rare and cold in the middle. We won't return. Manager was very apologetic and did comp our wine. We won't go back ever.
Had a reservation and arrived about 5 minutes early. Waited for 25 minutes and we’re only seated after talking with the hostess. Once seated though, service was pretty good however each course was brought out early even though previous hadn’t been finished.
2 appetizers, 2 steaks, and 2 sides.and NO DRINKS! $190+!!! Total rip off. We went to a Whiskey Tasting event at the hotel, so the Palm was the natural choice to eat beforehand.
The staff was friendly and attentive and did a great job.
The food though was average and overpriced. We eat in Buckhead a lot and go to Bones frequently. So we're not shy about dropping money for great food. This though was Bones prices for Outback food. $13.50 for 10 stalks of Asparagus! 13.50 for a bowl of mashed potatoes and $50+ each for ribeye steaks.
On top of that, the Hotel was hot and poorly organized.
Cannot recommend it and we will certainly not be back.
Last Wednesday night my bride took me to The Palm for my birthday. She'd told them in advance it was my birthday. We took along an excellent bottle of wine (Clos Pepe Santa Rita Hills 2005 Pinot Noir) that we'd purchased at the winery in Santa Barbara in 2008.
We were treated like royalty by both the Desk man Michael and our server C.T. They made us feel like we were the only patrons in the place.
Gael and I dated regularly (more than 50 years ago) at The Palm in NYC and those memories were strong last night.
She ordered the halibut and pronounced it the best ever. I, of course, had the 3lb lobster; there's also a 4lb lobster but I wasn't man enough to tackle that! We shared a Caesar salad (really a good one) and The Palm's famous "half and half" (homemade potato chips + onion strings). A half-order is PLENTY for a couple. The regular order must feed a hungry Army platoon!
Everything was first-class including the complementary key lime pie dessert for my birthday. The pie, thankfully was served with a single candle; if they'd put them all of them on there, the place might have burned to the ground.
We started off on a bad note with the waitress ignoring us and having to get a manager but with the manager taking our order and a new server we had no more experience issues after that. Everything was hot and good. I wish they had a pastry basket but other than that I would recommend for a decent basic breakfast.
My husband and I came here for our first anniversary. We were stuck in Atlanta for work so I did more than a weeks worth of research deciding on the Palm because we enjoy the Dallas location. I was so disappointed with this visit. We had numerous issues from:
1. Our server being rude/seeming to not care about her job
2. Drinks ordered never arrived
3. Food was undercooked (twice)
4. Restaurant was almost empty as we came in for a late reservation and we were set next to one of the bigger tables when there were many open spaces available (who were sooo obnoxious)
5. You could hear everyone in the kitchen yelling/talking to each other
6. Sides we ordered were bland
And these were just some of the issues that we encountered. Also, a manager never came to our table when I sent my food back. The only good thing we had at dinner was the appetizer. We had the calamari and it was excellent.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and the ambiance and service were exceptional. The food and drinks were delightful as well. Our server was very attentive, knowledgable, and kind. I would recommend The Palm to anyone visiting Atlanta and plan to visit The Palm in my own area.
The Ambiance was soothing. The waiter took his time and we were not rushed. A bit concerned that we were ordering so close to closing time. Food was great as if it was opening time. We had the fillet and 3 lb Lobster. Cooked to perfection. Server cracked the lobster table side allowing us to enjoy all the flavor it provided. Wine was a prefect pairing and complimented the signature cocktails we started with.
Wonderful atmosphere , Service was worth the trip from Dallas and The Palm did not disappoint..
Food was good but it took us an hour to get our meal. Waiter constantly came back and said "one more minute" "it's almost ready". When I called the manager over the food came out. No apologies just an excuse about waiting to fire up the steak until after we had our appetizer, which was a Caesar salad. Food was good but by the time it came out my wife was no longer hungry. I expect more as an 837 member
Absolutely impeccable service. If you're going for lunch, have the Minestrone soup. It's chicken stock based and absolutely amazing. Paired with a seared ahi tuna salad and crisp Pinot Grigio, I was in heaven! Free valet parking for lunch if your dining in the restaurant.
