Being fourth generation family owned and operated definitely has its advantages. It allows us to be very flexible, have no food and beverage minimums, no room charges, and offer something for everyone- USDA Prime Aged Steak, a Jumbo Nova Scotia Lobster, Fresh Seafood or traditional Italian Fare.
The Palm Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
Not our best experience at the Palm. Very few diners; very quiet.
Menu has changed since our last visit, and some old favorites are missing. Also, it appears that they are getting their lobsters from a different supplier .
Server was very friendly, but service was slow, especially given the small crowd.
May return for one more try.
The staff was very accommodating to our small group. Our three lunch selections - the crab cakes, the stacked roast beef sandwich and the classic burger were all outstanding.
The restaurant is on the first floor of the Westin Buckhead hotel & parking signage is not the best, but once you're in, there is both a valet and self parking.
Perfection. The steaks are amazing and perfectly prepared. The sides are served family style, I wish I had been born into that family. The carrot cake is massive, even if you love carrot cake, there will be some left to take home. And finally the service, top drawer! The Palm is known for classic New York style service, always impeccable. This time we had a young woman named Jamie who served us. Delightful. All things said and done, a memorable night with great food and service, with people I love. It doesn't get any better than that.
Food came out cold. Waitress never brought our ordered sides. When she finally came by to check on us, about 20 minutes later, I changed my order to a filet minion cooked medium. It came out rare and cold in the middle. We won't return. Manager was very apologetic and did comp our wine. We won't go back ever.
Had a reservation and arrived about 5 minutes early. Waited for 25 minutes and we’re only seated after talking with the hostess. Once seated though, service was pretty good however each course was brought out early even though previous hadn’t been finished.
2 appetizers, 2 steaks, and 2 sides.and NO DRINKS! $190+!!! Total rip off. We went to a Whiskey Tasting event at the hotel, so the Palm was the natural choice to eat beforehand.
The staff was friendly and attentive and did a great job.
The food though was average and overpriced. We eat in Buckhead a lot and go to Bones frequently. So we're not shy about dropping money for great food. This though was Bones prices for Outback food. $13.50 for 10 stalks of Asparagus! 13.50 for a bowl of mashed potatoes and $50+ each for ribeye steaks.
On top of that, the Hotel was hot and poorly organized.
Cannot recommend it and we will certainly not be back.
Last Wednesday night my bride took me to The Palm for my birthday. She'd told them in advance it was my birthday. We took along an excellent bottle of wine (Clos Pepe Santa Rita Hills 2005 Pinot Noir) that we'd purchased at the winery in Santa Barbara in 2008.
We were treated like royalty by both the Desk man Michael and our server C.T. They made us feel like we were the only patrons in the place.
Gael and I dated regularly (more than 50 years ago) at The Palm in NYC and those memories were strong last night.
She ordered the halibut and pronounced it the best ever. I, of course, had the 3lb lobster; there's also a 4lb lobster but I wasn't man enough to tackle that! We shared a Caesar salad (really a good one) and The Palm's famous "half and half" (homemade potato chips + onion strings). A half-order is PLENTY for a couple. The regular order must feed a hungry Army platoon!
Everything was first-class including the complementary key lime pie dessert for my birthday. The pie, thankfully was served with a single candle; if they'd put them all of them on there, the place might have burned to the ground.
