I have been to several Palm restaurants thorough out the country, but never received such small portions. Also I'm guessing due to the pandemic the prices were a bit inflated. I enjoyed our water Brian and our hostess. My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and there was no mention of that what do ever, I but disappointed but again I guess it must have been due to covid-19 restrictions.
Wonderful wait staff . Everything we asked for we received. All the way down to when we asked for a quiet as possible setting and they had an available room and allowed our party of six to occupy it.
One of the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever went to, especially for Valentine’s Day. The garlic mash potatoes was amazing, and so was the lamb chop (needed a little salt and pepper, but that was provided on the table). Wonderful experience.
Great Place! Would definitely return and recommend to others.
Food was Outstanding with good Flavors, an Cook to perfection !
The waitress was outstanding. The food was very good.
This was a very unpleasant experience. Service was slow and the food was below average for the establishment. Ran out of bread and no presentation for the entree. Special occasion dinner was a disappointment.
We had a great time but the food was over priced for it not to be good!! I love a good steak but this one had no flavor at all, it was cooked perfectly but BLAND!
Pre-Valentine’s Day Dinner was great. It was our first time and it was a experience!
Great food and experience! Highly recommended
Good for special occasions great food and service was great
Food was good but not worth the money in my opinion
We came in from South Carolina dined in at the palms of Atlanta the food was great and the waitress was awesome Kara was here name we will definitely dine in there again
Aniversery
Took my wife for her birthday and the food was phenomenal as well as the service. highly recommended!
Everything was perfect from greeting to service to the food. Only thing that could be tightened up on is the grilled asparagus (kind of bland). Overall, my date night was wonderful!
dining room was arrange much different than i remember. It use to be much nicer.
Dinner was phenomenal- food 5 stars, service 5 stars.
My dinner was fantastic, but my husband wasn’t so lucky. I had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked and delicious. We loved the three cheese au gratin potatoes, and the crab cake appetizer was great. He got the bone in filet, on the recommendation of our server who said it was their best cut and the most tender he would find anywhere but it was tough and flavorless, and only a few bites were eatable.
Our server was great - attentive, lively and fun. My husband was a server back in the day so he’s a very generous tipper. I hope Robbie was pleased but he earned every bit of it.
We went on New Years Eve, so it was super loud, but expected. And it was quite a fashion show with everyone dressed to the nines. Dinner AND a show! Overall great experience!
We arrived at the palm Atlanta for NYE dinner , we made reservations for 8:30 and arrived at 8:36, i called ahead to let the host know we were running late. Once arriving we had to wait another 15 mins to be seated. Once seated about another 10 mins for your waiter to greet us and bring water. We then waited about 20 mins for drinks. The waiter forgot to pick up our drinks from the bar ,so the ice had melted and our drinks were watered down. Took about another 10 mins for the new drinks to arrive at our table. Keep in mind that we placed our order right away because we didn’t want to be out too late . I ordered a the 14oz New York strip with the lobster potatoes and my boyfriend ordered a salad with chicken. His salad came out okay and he said it tasted good. My steak came out warm and tough, we had no sliver ware so we had to wait about 6 mins for that. Our waiter never checked back on our table until the end. My lobster & potatoes was extremely over cooked but i ate it because i was so hungry , we weren’t offered bread or anything. Overall terrible experience and why i don’t want to say it was racially motivated but all the other tables with white customers seemed to have their food and drinks promptly. My boyfriend was extremely upset and i was highly embarrassed as i picked this restaurant thinking it would be a great experience. The service , food, and drinks were subpar for the asking price. I beg you please don’t visit this restaurant, Ruth Chris or Prime have better service and better food and no racial profiling.
It was exceptional our waiter was very attentive and even suggested food items that were delicious.
Service was a little I the poor side, but it was NYE and maybe she was new..?
Awesome food... Definitely a top-notch steakhouse in Atlanta
NYE
Wonderful food and night
Perfect spot for business lunch or nice dinner.
Yum. Very happy with steak lunch. First rate
The food was just ok. The service was great.
The food lacked flavor. We have the lobster and lamb chops.
Pricey, chain restaurant food. The sides were extremely generous, but the food overall was just ok.
The fact that they allow customers to walk all around the restaurant without masks will be the reason I don’t return.
The service was excellent. Very attentive and cheerful even though they were working Christmas Day
The food was good, but the Palm really needs a facelift. The carpet was completely worn out. The overall ambiance was just not good. There are so many choices today of great steak places. They need to step up to match their competition. The service was also not good. We will not be back.
Food is good. Service, from Carlos, was better. It’s worth going.
Christmas Day dinner. Steak was superb, the crab cakes were almost all crab, but little flavor and weren't 'cakes', just a blob...I.e. lacking in presentation. Wait staff was average, not as attentive as one expects at that price level.
The Palm shows its age. Would not go again.
I always wanted to try The Palm, having lived in LA several years before moving to ATL. I excepted much, but wondered why Trip Advisor had it rated in the upper-middle of the pack for steakhouses. I now know why. For the price, I was mildly disappointed. The -lace was noisy on Christmas Eve, mainly due to bad acoustics. The crab cake app was good, but did not have enough sauce accompanying the dish. The fillet was exceptionally good, but the gnocchi was below par, green beans were ok and mashed potatoes were good. The cheesecake was a complete disappointment. Service was good. Beware, the restaurant is open to the lobby of the Westin Hotel. It was cold outside, which created a surprising chill during dinner. Glad I checked this box, as I had always wanted to try it. I have. I won’t return. Many other places that strive to meet the high expectations of a $300 bill for two.
The bone in wedge salad, bone-in ribeye, filet, crab risotto and brussel sprouts were delicious. The three of us agreed it was some of the most flavorful steaks that we’ve had.
Why only 3 stars? It was the service. While the server was friendly, he was a bit unethical in his approach. I ordered a bottle of Chianti wine with a menu price of under a fifty dollars. A few minutes later the waiter returned with a different bottle for around the same price. He then returned and said that he had the same wine two years older and that it was special just for me. When I got the check, I saw just how special, it was nearly 250% more expensive.
But it didn’t stop there. He asked if we wanted to order a five pound lobster to go with the two filets. We asked that the lobster be deshelled. When the lobster arrived to the table, half the lobster was missing. In fact, we’ve had more lobster on a lobster roll. The two people in my party splitting the lobster both thought that the rest of the lobster was coming later. Personally, for $110 I expected more.
Overall, with tip the bill came to around $700 for 3 people. Was it worth it, no. I’d go to Capital Grill or Bones where they don’t pull the bait and switch and feel you’ve just been swindled.
The Palm did a great job of providing excellent service, food quality and ensuring our safety.
Service was poor the server did not bring those bread and said we would have to pay extra for bread the lobster bisque was not good but the crabcakes were good and our main entrées we’re also satisfactory....We were just at the palm in Las Vegas and the experience was totally different great service and great food...We were very disappointed that the Atlanta location was such a huge drop off
The food was a bit bland for me but overall good experience.
I’ve been to Palms in other cities and this was by far my least favorite. Not a good experience and hoping it was just a really really off day
We dined at The Palm for my birthday lunch. This was the first time I had eaten at a "The Palm" restaurant. We sat at a booth in the corner near the windows and there was a "Happy Birthday" card on my table (signed by the crew). Our server Robert was very nice. We both got the special "shrimp parmesan" that was very rich and filling with breading, cheese and tomato sauce. My husband got a glass of wine and was given the 9 oz. instead of 6 oz. size. We did not realize that until we got the check, and Robert said, "We do that automatically." We think we should at least be given a choice. We split the NY cheesecake for my "free" birthday dessert, which I appreciate. Service was slow, but it seemed those who were working were doing double duty with other tasks. Prices are high, but I got $25 off with my Landry's Select Club birthday reward, so it was worth trying The Palm.
I truly enjoyed my birthday lunch. The food and service were excellent.
