Great experience!! Our server Robert was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Had before dinner drinks at bar, hard to get a bartender to notice you let alone wait on you.
Our dinner was amazing, food was great and our waiter Jimmy was amazing.
The food quality and portion did not justify the extreme high cost.
The customer service however was top notch!
I am a steak eater and have tasted steaks throughout the world. I could of eaten the same quality of steak at Texas Roadhouse for a far less cost.
I decided to try The Palm this past Saturday for my best friend’s birthday. This turned out to be a huge mistake. We arrived for our 9:30 reservation and were seated promptly, but that is where the positive part of our experience stops. We placed drink orders, drinks took 20 mins to arrive and none of the drinks were up to par. As a bartender myself, I can tell when corners are being cut and cheap ingredients being utilized. Then as we were placing our dinner orders they informed us that there were no potatoes in the entire restaurant. No bread for the table (they stop making bread at 8:30??) and it was just downhill from there. The server could not tell us anything about the oysters being offered, the playing was atrocious. All of the food was lackluster. Dry salmon, tough steak, flavorless chicken. All we could do is laugh and drink and that point. The manager came out and offered an explanation that did nothing but make it worse. The only good thing this place has going is Carlos, the bartender who came over and offered us a round of drinks on the house. Do not eat here, you would be better off at Longhorn’s or something of that sort.
I ordered the lobster bisque it was extremely thick and very salty my husband ordered a crabcake it was very good we also ordered steak I ordered a ribeye well done And it was actually burned burned so bad you couldn’t taste the steak are you taste was burned char my husband ordered New York strip this is the first time he has never finished his steak that’s how bad it was the service was good the mashed potatoes with whole shallots of garlic was too much I’m pretty sure we won’t be going back.
I have been eating at the Palm in Atlanta for over 15 years and have over 40K points between the Palm and Landry's. How far this place has fallen. Service was awful, bar tender was awful, kitchen staff running around the restaurant. With approx 8 tables there, sat down at 8:15, took 15 min to get water, 30 min to get a drink (bartender obviously in the wrong position), 45 min to get the appetizer. Finally made our order at 9:15 (hour later) and then did not see our server for more than 15 min. Finally approached the bar from our table to see if we could get another drink and told us the bar closed was closed. We explained that we were at a table and waiting on dinner and told us he did not care. Manager then said he would comp the food we ordered and asked us to pay the rest of the tab. What a joke and how far this place has fallen since Lance was the Manager. Only a matter of time until the Westin will have to take this over and make it a hotel buffet (which would be better). What a joke.
The restaurant was out of bread which is a favorite thing with my husband and son. They did not tell us until 30” into our seating when my husband asked for bread. 45” after ordering the lobster with the crackers and bib already delivered, the server told us that they were out of the lobster. Within minutes, our son sees what apparently must be the last lobster delivered to another patron who my son reported arrived after us. We picked the restaurant for the lobster! Finally, our daughter ordered cheesecake. After a tremendous wait, the server showed up with key lime pie because they were out of cheesecake. We politely refused and got the carrot cake, nice idea but check for preferences. 🤦♀️
As we were leaving, another patron was yelling at the manager. We could definitely relate! We did not have a good experience at all.
Please save your time and your money. My husband and I have previously enjoyed dinner at The Palm in Washington DC and we were looking forward to dinner in Atlanta. This dining experience was such a disappointment. The bacon appetizer was awful. The steaks … just not good. We actually left our meals and crossed the street to eat at Maggianos. It was that bad.
Another GREAT dinner. Our waiter Jimmy Logan is a gem.
We. were there for our 60th wedding anniversary which we had indicated on our reservation. We have always gone to The Palm on our anniversary and they, in the past had made a fuss and offer free champaign, etc. This time it was not acknowledged in any way, even by just the wait staff. The service was a bit scattered but acceptable. The bar was particularly busy and noisy. The lobsters were perfectly done and expertly cracked. at the table by a “specialist”. The two sides were just average: the garlic potatoes had no garlic flavor, were too salty and were barley warm. They tasted as if they were made with potato flacks. The cream spinach was also adequate but was no hot enough. However we went there for lobster and that satisfied our needs since it was excellent.
Waitress was awesome, she was able to explain to us the different items on the menu and answer all our questions.
Restaurant was in a good location, staff very attentive and friendly, relaxing environment
Our server was very knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed our meal so much, we’re going back again tonight to try other menu choices.
Excellent service. I had the Executive Lunch...Caesar salad was good, but not as tasty as I'd hoped or remebered. My linguini w clams was delicious!!
Scallops appetizer was delicious. My filet was done rare, just as I wanted. My guest had salmon which was very tasty. Shared garlic mashed potatoes and a nice bottle of wine. Unobtrusive service at the proper times made us feel welcome and not rushed. Great choice for fine dining.
Food was not the best for the price and there were gnats flying around in the room we was in and it was very annoying. Also rooms were a little outdated. It was nice to have a private room to accommodate our guests but the restaurant was near empty so it would probably have been ok to be in the main dining area. Waitress was nice and sweet. I don't think I would revisit unless I was invited.
I am a long time Landry’s Select member and frequent their establishments, so I was surprised at how disappointed I was with this experience. The food was subpar, the prosecco was flat, my lobster meal came with one claw, the list goes on. Extremely uncustomary.
The martini style steak topping was the very best thing I think I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious. The staff knew we were coming for our 10th wedding anniversary and were kind enough to have all signed a card for us. Very attentive staff and love the style of the interior. Our food was delicious. They only slightly negative I could say is that the Lobster risotto was a tad too al dente and could have used more seasoning.
We had a great date night. Our server Jeff was outstanding!
We enjoyed it.
Though courteous, the waitress incorrectly entered our order, leaving one of my family members to watch the rest of us eat our ENTIRE meals before he was served and leaving my son without his main dish. She didn’t even notify or bring in the manager until my uncle requested it. At that point, both burgers came out. Also, the food was mediocre in taste and seems overpriced to me. We’ve eaten at fine restaurants where the price was definitely worth it. I guess maybe you pay for the ambiance because that was pleasant, and the facility was nice. We won’t be returning.
Superb service with incredible food!! We’ll be back !
Awesome! Our server was amazing. My family enjoyed it so much. Most definitely coming back
The restaurant was not ready for a significant holiday. You would expect a restaurant to have a certain level of staff or preparation. We actually received our appetizer the same time we received our dinner. Our drinks we’re late also. You can tell the waitress was under enormous pressure. The food was good but for the prices on the menu you would expect a way better overall experience.
Yes! Service was great! Food was good. Staff very efficient.
First time and I wanted to have a day out with a friend. The food was great, as the selection is small they must do it well. Service some might say is overwhelming, but check on me.
Don’t go out out and ask for chicken fingers like the table next to us.
Expect to spend $125 for (2) no drinks.
The staff was very friendly. My mother in law enjoyed the lamb, and my kids really enjoyed their kids meals. However, the filet's were extremely tough and not good cuts of meat. They kindly replaced it with the salmon for us. But overall, what bothered me about this restaurant is that everything was just very subpar for the prices that they charge. When you spend $350 on the bill, you should expect excellence, and just nothing was really that great.
Took 30mins to get drinks, the chopped salad looked and tasted like garbage. The waitstaff was turned loose on their second night working and obviously needed more training. The manager just stood around while 5 waiters were waiting for drinks from the bar. There wasn’t a service bartender so the people at the bar ordered after us and got drinks before us.
The palm used to be one of our favorite spots to eat out in Atlanta. Reserved for special occasions. I won’t be coming back. Nor will I entertain clients at this restaurant.
Will never go back. Service was horrible. Drink orders were taken when we sat down and still did not have our cocktails for over 45 minutes. We were told "the bar lost our ticket". During that time our waitress avoided our table. We were there for a celebration but it was NOT a celebration. After my son complained twice to the waitress and manager we finally had someone come and apologize but it was too late. Then...nothing came together. We had to wait for a main course salad for one of the diners when all the steaks were already served! Then, the steaks came without the peppercorn seasoning...again had to wait. And did we feel "safe" in the restaurant? Yes!Two huge men who I assume were guards or bouncers stood at the front of the restaurant which is INSIDE a hotel when we came in and when we left. What is that about? Lastly...the parking garage and the valet stand smelled heavily of weed. Would never recommend or return!
Great service and definitely a great experience. Will go again.
Wonderful Experience, Great Food
The food was delicious! The hostess was welcoming and friendly. I loved the atmosphere and the private room for my birthday dinner. The waiter took longer than I expected to bring drinks, take orders, and bring food to the table.
We started with the seared scallops which were cooked perfectly, the cocktails were outstanding and the steak house wedge may have been the best I’ve had. Our waiter was fantastic as well. We will definitely be back!
Our server and the host was AMAZING. I just thought the steak would be better. The drinks were good!
The meals were outstanding, the service was as good as I have ever experienced and our Server was engaging and delightful. With a lot of serious competition in close proximity, The Palm can hold its own with any of them.
My food did not taste good at all. I order well done lamb and it came out burnt. I had to request that the two sides I ordered be taken off my bill. It was also my 30th birthday which I stated in my reservation but there was nothing special done for me. This was my first time trying this restaurant but I do not intend on returning.
