Why does Open Table care? You cancelled my reservation because the new owner of the Cincinnatian Hotel doesn't want to belong to Open Table. The Palace restaurant is superb.

I have been at the restaurant several times and it has always been very good. I find it hard to believe that on regular night, the place is not busy. I go out often to some of the best restaurants in town and would recommend this to anyone. One of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. Go here or one of Jean Roberts because it is the best food in town. Skip Boca and Soho, they are not in the same league and cost as much.

Still one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. The bottle of wine ordered was not available and they substituted with a bottle of much higher price. Very much appreciated. This was a Valentines Day Menu and it was very nice but more food than I wanted (or needed). The only caveat is that I would check first to see what menu is available.

It took us by surprise that only fixed menu was available on Valentine's Day. It was not communicated at clearly on website or otherwise. No choice and made it too expensive.

Valentine's dinner was a prix fixe menu for $95 per person. Way too much food for normal appetites. Much of it was too salty for our taste The five course meal moved extremely slowly - took 1 hour and 45 minutes and we were there when they opened at 5:30. Overheard wait staff talking that the hotel had been sold and they would be losing their jobs. Our waiter knew another (regular?) patron and spent more time gossiping with him than attending to us. Less food for a more reasonable price would have helped timing and enjoyment of the experience. We would not recommend, and will not return.

We had a wonderful dining experience in the newly renovated dining room. The wait staff was very attentive. Our waitress, Brenda saw to our every need. The food was so delicious and the presentation was artistic. The lobster bisque was a unique dish unlike any other presentation and all the items blended together into a heavenly soup. The sweat breads were crispy and soft and buttery on the inside. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and the filet was dressed with a heavenly shallot/mushroom sauce. For dessert we were amazed at the creme brûlée with bourbon ice cream and the chocolate cake with the while chocolate bomb filled with beer ice cream and a warm raspberry sauce had a wow factor all its own! Truly an unforgettable meal!

We went for Christmas Eve. It was a prix fixe which was fine, but the food was subpar at best. Two of the beef tenderloin servings were minuscule and horribly over cooked. I guess we should have expected that as the waiter didn't ask us a temperature for the meat until I told him how I wanted mine prepared. Service started off horribly- we waited over 20 mins for a waiter to even get to us for a drink order, and that happened only after someone got up to get them to come over. It did get better, but still subpar for the prices they are charging and a white table cloth setting. This use to be a great place but has fallen significantly. I would not recommend it at all.

The Palace is an elegant restaurant located in a beautiful old hotel in downtown Cincinnati. My mother and I went there for dinner before the ballet. From the moment we were greeted by Bella, who took out coats and seated us, until she took our picture on our way out and returned our coats, everyone we encountered treated us like we were special guests and they were glad we were there. The lighting was good, the noise level very low and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our server, James, was outstanding. The chef sent several amusees which is a rare find in a restaurant these days, even in more expensive, more highly rated restaurants. Mom had a beet salad and the salmon which she reported to be extraordinary. I had a lobster bisque and short ribs. They were delicious. Her dessert was a carrot cake which she loved. I had the sweet potato creme brulee which I did not like. James took it off my bill. The meal was definitely worth the $140 (not including the tip) I paid. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

The food was not only amazing, the presentation was a work of art. Brenda, our server, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and made our dining experience memorable. Chef Nathan took ordinary foods to extraordinary. You must try the lobster bisque. It's beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The foie gras ice cream was an unusual delight. This wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. We look forward to reserving the chef's table next time.

for a restaurant with the reputation enjoyed by the Palace this was very disappointing. we had to wait far too long to get seated and had several mix ups with our meals. items not cooked properly, ingredients left off, items given to the wrong person... this was for a sunday brunch and my previous experiences for dinner there were much better. either this was a brunch issue or things have gone down hill

The menu is small and rather disappointing. The 'famous' burger looked like a preformed quarter pounder patty. Not worth the $12+ cost. The sesame seed bun looked like it was purchased from Kroger. The Mediterranean chicken sandwich was interesting, but the bun was very dry as was the sandwich. Dessert was huge and delicious, but did not make up for the so-so overpriced lunch entrees.

The food and service were excellent. This is a pricey option and I do not get to attend often, but every time my husband and I have the opportunity/occasion to treat ourselves, the Palace always meets and often exceeds expectations. The staff is courteous, friendly and informative. We love this restaurant.

Amazing food! Had water immediately but waited 20 plus minutes for a wine menu. Don't consider the five v course meal if your pressed for time! Considering we ordered two bottles of wine, had a five course meal and spent over two hundred dollars on dinner I found that rude. We may not look like a million bucks but do have money to spend on a nice dinner.

We have been to the Palace before. They had High Tea for years. It was a chance for the ladies to dress up and the men to tret them to a fine experience. High Tea refers to a multicourse "finger food" presentation with tea of your choice. This time wife and I went for dinner. We had the three course meal, with wife having the foie gras plate for appetizer, filet plate for main course and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. I hade the pork belly appetizer, the poached salmon main course and crème broulet dessert. This was by far the best dinner we'd had in a long time. It easily compared to the Maissonette in its prime. Service was great, and even the maître d' pitched in with the serving. It was a fine evening.

I hadn't been to the Palace for several years, but always enjoyed dining there. I chose it to host 5 out of town business colleagues and couldn't be happier with that decision. We all enjoyed the 5 course dinner--2 apps, 2 entrees and a dessert from the a la carte, slightly larger than "bites" but not so large as to be too much. My colleagues were thoroughly impressed with the food, the service and the ambiance, and I need to find an opportunity to go back soon.

A lovely venue for a special night out. The Palace features a tasting menu with 3, 5 or 9 courses. We opted for three, which was plenty for us (I even brought home a portion of my salmon entree). In addition, we had a few surprise courses, which really made the meal fun. I wasn't crazy about some of the combinations (e.g. smoked ice cream was overpowering with my sweet potato creme brulee - would have preferred vanilla, cinnamon or the ginger accompaniment my husband had with his chocolate cake). Service was attentive but the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. Overall a very nice evening.

Sunday brunch menu doesn't have a lot to offer. Options are not clear on the menu. However, our server did offer a slight variation to the menu. The service is fine.. they are definitely not fast but the atmosphere lends itself to spending some time and enjoying your company. I enjoy the annual trip to The Palace for breakfast or lunch. Two of the four ordered biscuits and gravy. Neither one of them were happy with their choice once the meal was served. It's too off the beaten path of "true biscuits and gravy" to satisfy the customer.. The omelets and pouched eggs were super great... We'll continue with our annual tradition.
