   Mum and I visited for lunch, food was absolutely lovely and staff couldn't do enough for us . Will be back!

   Turned up on time and ready to enjoy a meal with my family at The Painted Lady on Saturday 20th November 2021. After confirming we would be there two days before, we turned up to find the whole place in darkness, no staff or signs up to explain why and no one to pick up the phone when we called. Considering the restaurant charge you for failing to turn up or cancel, we were very disappointed that there was no warning from them about a possible closure. We had to go somewhere else for our meal, which we were lucky to get into, due to the busy nature of the night. We were very very upset by this experience.

   The restaurant was closed for refurbishment and no one contacted me to let me know my booking was cancelled due to this. Won’t come back

   It was quiet and the waiters were watching us eat. It made us feel uncomfortable and they were there the second we finished with food. The waiter was cleaning our table before we had even paid the bill which was quite rude and gave the impression of being unwanted. The food itself was ok I had the chicken donner burger and my Mrs had the chicken and mushroom pasta, both were bland and the chicken tasted a little rubbery. We had visited the painted lady during lockdown and the service and food was amazing it was our first date out and couldn't be happier. This time round though it wasn't the same the quality had dropped and with waiters staring at you eating made us want to leave pretty quickly.

   Amazing evening, fantastic service. The food & cocktails were great! Will definitely go back again.

   Went to the painted lady and one of our guests has a dairy and egg allergy. Although there’s things she can eat, the restaurant only has 1 fryer so could not cook anything separate. So everything this restaurant cooks is cooked in the same oil. So would not recommend if you have any intolerances. Staff were also not very helpful just telling us it would take 3 hours to clean the oil.

    Food was ok, lamb was cooked perfectly. Not many people in for a Saturday night and shortly after we arrived they blared dance music out. We asked if they could turn it down, which they did a bit. Music definitely did not meet the setting.
