I've been to this several times before and it's still as good as the first time. Surprised at some of the other reviews on here; I dined on nye too and all of us had a great time. Not certain some of the reviews I've read are are reflective. I'll be back again v soon and will choose a different dish because I was spoilt for choice. Is a cosy intimate place with service and great food

Had an awful experience - initially the restaurant didn't have our booking we waited an hour for our starters and then another hour for our mains that came out wrong (two steaks instead of steak and lobster linguini) My correct main arrived by the time my partner had finished his dinner - the waitress then offered him an extra steak to say sorry even though it was my main that was incorrect (they obviously just didn't want to throw away the incorrect steak they had made and tried to offer it back to him) Unsurprisingly he wasn't hungry after a starter and steak and chips so we declined the extra steak They then offered us some drinks to apologise which was nice however when the bill came they gave us a completely different tables bill and when we pointed this out to the manager and the fact that we had been given the incorrect meal after waiting two hours instead of apologising she exclaimed that we "should be thanking her" for the low price of the meal (which wasn't particularly low it was £70 something for two people and my partner wasn't drinking) and then huffed for us to pay £50 instead of £60 and stormed off ... although the bill was £70 so we weren't sure what she meant so we left £60 on the table She also didn't understand that we were complaining about the service and not the price

Heard great word of mouth recommendations so we decided we'd try the Sunday lunch. It was fab. Lovely food, great local ale and fun banter in the bar post meal.
