Welcome to The Oyster Rock, a family-owned and operated waterfront Calabash seafood restaurant specializing in excellent seafood and raw bar items, mixed with a flavorful variety of mouth-watering beef, chicken and pork dishes, along with sandwiches and burgers all prepared in house every day using only the freshest and finest ingredients from local and regional suppliers and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean right outside our doors.

Overlooking the scenic Calabash River and its pristine estuaries and relaxing atmosphere, The Oyster Rock provides the most amazing view around, from our indoor and outdoor seating areas and bars featuring more than 24 domestic and imported beers on tap, 30 wines by the glass and a delicious collection of specialty cocktails.

    Grew up going to the old Calabash seafood restaurants and loved their fried seafood. A friend of ours recommended Oyster Rock and it did not disappoint! Their Calabash style fried seafood (shrimp and scallops) brought back delicious memories of my childhood and my wife’s sea bass could not have been more perfect, either! Having a waterfront view and the prefect service of Jeff and his crew made our dinner experience one of the best we’ve ever had and we will absolutely be back!

    Perfect start with the personalized attention upon arrival to seating at table where LaWanda attended to our unspoken needs and shared recommendations of her fave dishes on the menu and surprised me with a wonderful Cotes de Rhône blend! The trio of raw oysters to watermelon salad to hushpuppies and homemade chips and dip prepared us for the most wonderful Chilean Sea Bass and scallops! I’ve truly never experienced the miso Chilean sea bass that melted in your mouth! Key lime pie was great! So wonderful sitting outside and listening to the birds and watching all the beauty. Thank you!

    We had suck a wonderful time for my bachelorette weekend! The food was amazing, the cocktails and mocktails were amazing. But our waiter made it the best. I wish I remembered his name cuz he deserves a huge shout out!!! He was fabulous, insanely knowledgeable and so much fun!! Thanks for a wonderful night! We will be back again for sure!!

    This is not our first experience at oyster rock. We love the atmosphere, the service is always great. And the food is fantastic. Cody, our waitress was wonderful.

    I made reservations for 8pm with a request for a great view. We arrived early and let them know that if something opened up early we were in the vicinity. A beautiful table with best view was open but they seated us at 8 at a table in the corner farthest from the water view and against the stairs the waitstaff. We asked to be moved but another family was being led to the better table. That was annoying. The grouper was overcooked. The ahi tuna appetizer was not very flavorful. We did very much enjoy dirty martinis and the scallops were pretty good.

    One of the best restaurants in Calabash and North Myrtle, food and service along with the deserts were outstanding and delicious. Servings are huge 😊
