Very pleasant pub with outside seating next to the river. Attentive service and good food.

I got a call at about 12 o clock telling me that there was no table And that the booking system never worked. The person who spoke to me was abrupt. If they had have called me when I booked I might have had a better chance of getting a booking somewhere. Disgusting service from a favourite place and a previously loyal customer.

Had Sunday lunch here, all four of us had a roast. Food and service all really good so we'll definitely be back next time we're up that way.

Overall a fabulous meal. Gave a lower score for service and ambience becvause asked if I could have some warm beries for dessert instead of the marshmellow merringue mess but couldnt get the waitress to understand.
Booked through open table. We were seatd in rather a dark corner of the room which was difficult to see.
The ham hock was lovely.

Prompt and friendly service, table location matched request, menu offered lots of choices. Food presentation good, waiting staff attentive without being intrusive. Décor stylishly cosy.

Just amazing .. so good we are back next week

We visited for Sunday lunch and to celebrate our son's birthday. We were seated quickly and the food, drinks and service were good. A waitress did take the salt from our table before our main meal arrived which did leave us wondering why it didn't occur to her that we were then without salt even though another table now had salt. Otherwise no negative comments and we would visit again. Parking a bit restricted for the number of people using the restaurant
