Always outstanding, the Ostrich Club has levelled up with a new chef focusing on hyper seasonal, hyper local dishes — everything we ate was plate-lickingly good. The cocktail program is also phenomenal, and love the inclusion of creative no ABV options that don’t feel like an afterthought!

Grateful for a fantastic menu with plenty of options for someone with food allergies. The food was all incredible, service was a little slow but otherwise attentive, excellent wine and excellent recommendations.

The Ostrich Club has levelled up! Moira Murray (from Top Chef Canada) is in the kitchen and the food is fantastic. We were there with a group last night and ate the whole menu and asked for seconds. The food is so well balanced and there are little surprises on every dish. Top notch. Chef Murray is matched perfectly with Lindsay Jones’ creative and fun cocktails and Alana Steele’s seemingly endless wine knowledge (she will tell you where the glue for the label came from and why it’s relevant). Boss level. Take them on!

Good was amazing and interesting. Definitely recommending ordering a few plates to share- you’ll want to try the variety!

We’ve been coming to Ostrich Club for a regular wine Wednesday among friends for several years. We started at its now gone sister, Little Oak, and have continued at Ostrich Club. It never disappoints. The servers remember us, and the sommelier always delivers interesting and thoughtful recommendations.

I rarely write reviews and especially not bad reviews but I we had an extremely disappointing experience at The Ostrich Club. The two small plates that we had were terrible. The Endive salad was just greens with an overly acidic dressing and the mushroom parfait was honestly gross. The smell and texture were similar to cat food. I have never had to ask for something to be taken away from my table because of the smell. The cocktails were essentially served in shot glasses, were over priced, and tasted like juice. And unfortunately there was a fruit fly infestation that just icked us out. One landed in my $20 5 ounce pour of wine when half the glass was left. I pointed it out to the server and she replaced it with literally a splash of wine. It just felt so cheap and combative. The server was clearly emotional and offended that we weren’t having a good experience. If a restaurant is going to charge high prices, expectations of guests are going to be higher…but honestly I would have been put off by this place if they were giving the food and drinks away for free. This place was an extremely overpriced disappointment. We spent over $100 in less than an hour for an experience that honestly grossed us out.

The drink the menu was very original and fun and paired perfectly with the delicious food plates we shared throughout the evening. Our table of four started with the oysters, which had just a touch of heat and paired very nicely with the mushroom parfait. There was a wide assortment of gluten-free options as well as vegetarian options our table guests. The scallops were cooked perfectly with a buttery caramelization. It was so good, we got a second order. The pasta and whitefish arrived together and were very light while savoury. We finished the meal with a watercress salad and the most delicious chicken I’ve ever had. We did a dessert drink of a deconstructed root beer float with espresso. Delicious. The service was attentive and nicely paced. Bravo to the front and back of house. Thank you for making our evening so special. We cannot wait to go back.
