    I rarely write reviews and especially not bad reviews but I we had an extremely disappointing experience at The Ostrich Club. The two small plates that we had were terrible. The Endive salad was just greens with an overly acidic dressing and the mushroom parfait was honestly gross. The smell and texture were similar to cat food. I have never had to ask for something to be taken away from my table because of the smell. The cocktails were essentially served in shot glasses, were over priced, and tasted like juice. And unfortunately there was a fruit fly infestation that just icked us out. One landed in my $20 5 ounce pour of wine when half the glass was left. I pointed it out to the server and she replaced it with literally a splash of wine. It just felt so cheap and combative. The server was clearly emotional and offended that we weren’t having a good experience. If a restaurant is going to charge high prices, expectations of guests are going to be higher…but honestly I would have been put off by this place if they were giving the food and drinks away for free. This place was an extremely overpriced disappointment. We spent over $100 in less than an hour for an experience that honestly grossed us out.

    The drink the menu was very original and fun and paired perfectly with the delicious food plates we shared throughout the evening. Our table of four started with the oysters, which had just a touch of heat and paired very nicely with the mushroom parfait. There was a wide assortment of gluten-free options as well as vegetarian options our table guests. The scallops were cooked perfectly with a buttery caramelization. It was so good, we got a second order. The pasta and whitefish arrived together and were very light while savoury. We finished the meal with a watercress salad and the most delicious chicken I’ve ever had. We did a dessert drink of a deconstructed root beer float with espresso. Delicious. The service was attentive and nicely paced. Bravo to the front and back of house. Thank you for making our evening so special. We cannot wait to go back.

    First time at OSTRICH. Will go again for sure. Surprised at the quality (surprised win a good way). Great service: attentive not fawning.

    We had a fantastic meal at The Ostrich Club. The cocktails are fun (with an ever changing themed menu), the food devine and the service excellent. A real gem, I would highly recommend.

    The restaurant was generally fine, but the server significantly emphasized the fact that the table reservation was ending soon, even stating “okay I could rush your dessert if you would like since you only have 12 minutes left at this table.” We felt this was quite inappropriate and could have been stated more politely. This is ufortunate considering that we were looking forward to our visit to Ostrich Club as it was a graduation celebration. Will likely be booking elsewhere for celebrations in the future.
