The food & service was excellent as always! Unfortunately there was another party next to us that had their cellphone flashlight shining towards are table. It rather lowered that ambient atmosphere for us.

Food was great, prices were reasonable. Wait staff seemed stressed, and where we were seated was a little odd - we were at a nice booth but across from us was a small room that was basically empty, and had some plain black curtains partially blocking it. Just not attractive.

We celebrated the birthday of our guest who shares our love of roasted rack of lamb, a specialty of The Orchards. We were all exceedingly happy with our meal. Our waitress was knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive. The little special things this restaurant does, warm towels, a little appetizer, a little ball of sherbet to clear the pallet are exceptional for restaurants in this area. Thanks to The Orchards we were able to fete my guest in an exceptional way. The dining areas are quiet and conducive to table conversation, although once the food was served, we were quietly enjoying the lamb.

Ordered a Sliced Prime Sand, but received a shredded hard steakum, canned onions, a leaf of lettuce that just covered the tomato. Son`s sand had to be cut into small pieces because it was so tough. Just hope it was an off knight because of the prices you charge it should of been great.

New Year’s Eve Made reservations two weeks in advance ; asked if prime rib was going to be on the menu. Receptionist checked with chef snd I was assured it would be. Got there at 5:55 for 6 PM reservation for 4 in a booth. Ordered drinks and a few hors divers About 6:15 ordered dinner ; waiter came back and said they were out of prime rib. There were only 6 entrees on the menu to choose from and they were already out of one at 6:15. Very disappointed

The extra touches are excellent. These are the warm towels, tasting from the kitchen, bread and the sorbet. The steak was not cooked as ordered, the crab tortellini had very little crab. The food wasn't very hot, and the plates were brought out at staggered times. As one of the most expensive restaurants in Chambersburg, expectations were higher and focus on the food quality is a must.

Fantastic in every way. This was our first time here and now wonder why we haven't been sooner. Our friend raves about the Orchards and thought we should try it. Food was excellent with a great selection, our wait person was friendly, extremely helpful, and on top of things. The owner and chef stopped by to talk with us and we received a lovely follow up email directly from the Orchards asking how things went. We are impressed and will be back regularly.

The grilled lamb chops and tzatziki sauce were excellent. The filet mignon was excellent, too. The crab bisque was a little bit weird—gelatin consistency instead of creamy. The ambience was good—not too loud and dim but not too dark. The service was good, too.

Orchards is our favorite restaurant! Post pandemic it is hard to find a decent place to dine but Orchards never disappoints. Anything from a burger or pizza to a full blown feast! (Broiled seafood platter with lobster tail!) The atmosphere is wonderful & quiet. (Those wanting a more vibrant scene can visit their attached Relax lounge.) The service (Thanks Pete & Michele) cannot be matched and there are always the little bites throughout your meal which will surprise & delight your taste buds.
