We visited The Orchards as a recommendation from the hotel where we were staying and also from reviewing online. Pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back when in the area. Our waiter was very attentive and informative. The food was wonderful; my husband said it was the best steak he had ever had, which is saying something, and my pasta seafood dish was fabulous. Atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. There was music that evening (two guys playing jazz guitar) which helped to set the relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend The Orchards and hope that your overall experience will be as good as ours was.

We always enjoy the Orchard experience!! Unfortunately tonight there was no room in the tap room which we enjoy the most.

Maybe on the right nigh the food will be on par with the price. I got the petite prime rib and it was very under seasoned. The AuJus tasted like slightly salty water. My husband got the lamb chop I believe. It tasted good but was dry. One particular hostess walked by our booth and was poking her head into our booth like she was looking for something. That on top of the more regular crowd staring at us was uncomfortable. Our waitress was awesome and she could tell we dont normally eat at establishments like this so she was very helpful. However between the hostess and the elder crowd staring we probably wont be back. Maybe it was just us or maybe they just stare at anyone under 40. If we go back we will more likely try Relax Lounge. I saw more smiling you get people going in and out of there.

We had a wonderful meal. Our waitress was excellent and kind. Meals were absolutely fantastic!

We had a wonderful experience the The Orchards! Can't wait to return. The food was delicious, and the salmon was the best I've tasted.

Disappointed this visit😥. Only our second time there but the first set that bar pretty high. Service was horrendous! We even had to take our check up to the hostess to pay as we waited 15 minutes & waiter never came back to our table. Hard to understand when it wasn’t crowded.

We had traveled to the area for our wedding. Found this restaurant, and are so happy we did. The atmosphere did not disappoint. Beautiful and clean establishment. Dinner was exceptional! The meat and cheese plate as an app was delicious. The filet was one of the best I've had. We had a few cocktails at the bar and were very well made. If in the area, I would highly recommend!

Restaurant took reservation on open table, gave me a conf number. We drove out to the location, restaurant was closed on mondays.

The private rooms are a great touch! We enjoyed a nice meal with easy conversation.

Far beyond our expectations! What an amazing experience! Waiter was superb, attention to detail beyond measure & food was fabulous!! The private room for an anniversary celebration was just marvelous! Ambience extraordinary! Just found this hidden gem by googling “fine dining in Chambersburg” and was not disappointed!! Will definitely return even though we are almost an hour away!!

Excellent food and service!

We went on our first date here. It did not disappoint. We showed up fairly late in the evening, after 9pm, for our date. The hostess asked if we'd like a seat in the dining room or lounge. We chose the lounge. Our waiter was quick to come take our drink order and very friendly. I must have asked him half a dozen questions. He happily answered all of them. He checked on us multiple times throughout the course of our meal. He was an attentive waiter, not in the annoying way. The food was impeccable. I was impressed. I didn't go over board. I stuck with the tried and true medium rare NY strip. They served us fresh bread, a lemon chicken sampler, our entrées, watermelon sorbet and cocoa coated almonds. We were there until after closing time. The staff was gathering at the bar to mingle and eat together. No one seem to mind that we we're still there. Our waiter didn't throw our check at us to rush us out. If you are looking for a friendly upscale dining experience, this is it. We will be back.

Delicious and meticulously crafted food. I felt I was dining in the city between my meal and service. Everything outstanding. I would love to dine here weekly.

I lived in Washington DC for ten years, and I love fine dining. Orchard's is every bit as good as any of the restaurants I frequented in the city. It's far and away my favorite local restaurant.

The pasta/prime rib was nice, "greek" chicken not so much. This restaurant may be living more on reputation than current skills, or we just had a bad meal. They were fair about compensating for the bad meal.

Food was excellent, atmosphere was very good. Server had a couple mishaps but other than that it was great. Thanks.

I lived in Washington DC for ten years and miss the restaurants more than anything else. Orchards compares to the best I've ever visited. Mussels and Creme Brulee are outstanding. Service was so good that I gave a 25% tip. Comparably speaking, prices are very reasonable. On Friday nights, they have a DJ, and a wonderful crowd, varied in age and personality.

Once we got our food, it was excellent. I think they were short staffed and food and drinks arrived sporadically or sometimes not at all. Not what i thought it would be based on the internet.

Did not dine in a dining room but rather a reception area suited for a wedding or a gymnasium type activity. Therefore, ambiance was lousy. And food prices at >$30/plate did not reflect a fine dining experience. Drinks took 25 mins to get. Meal took over an hour and cold when served. Sides missing and had to remind wait staff. Very disappointed as I've eaten there before and had a much better experience. Will probably not go again.

Had a,party of 6 for graduation dinner, Nathan our server was excellent and attended to all our needs, loved the themed private rooms, highly recommend, everything was great for our special evening, would love to make this a regular event but too far away, no regrets or disappointments. A must vist when in town

Food and service is consistent and well worth the visit. We will definitely be back as a regular customer.

I typically do not review restaurants because they are mostly in the 4 star range with some 3 but this is just my second 5 star in years of eating out almost every week for decades. It was an wonderful experience the six of us haven’t had in many years. Many surprises during the night.

This was the most special Valentine’s Day because it was my first Valentine’s Day with my future wife, Dawn. She is the MOST BEAUTIFUL AND THE MOST PRECIOUS AND THE MOST SPECIAL WOMAN EVER !!!!!!! I sooo can’t wait to MARRY HER !!!!!! She deserved the absolute BEST OF EVERYTHING the life has to offer !!!!!! I LOVE HER SO VERY MUCH !!!!!!!!

When we arrived no one knew about our reservation that we had made through their website addition we received a phone call that morning from the restaurant confirming a reservation yet upon arrival no one knew about reservation might want to get all parties involved sinking and communication thank you
