The One Sushi + Ratings and Reviews
The food was incredible—very inventive and creative combinations. Loved the jalapeño shooters and Rolls Royce roll. Definitely recommend the potato chip and ice cream dessert—it's still haunting me!
Only complaint is that it wasn't very crowded and our server was pretty inattentive. On top of that she smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke it was difficult to enjoy our food when she was around.
We eat here quite often as the food and service is always good. This time, the bartender ignored us, even though the bar was not full. We had to wait for a table away from the front door (it was 25 degrees outside) for 20 minutes, even though we had a reservation. Finally, the rolls came out 20 minutes apart. We are hoping that this was just one bad occurrence and not something that continues. If so, we will move on.
We always enjoy this spot. Ask for a side of eel sauce if you are addicted like me. Many creative rolls. Grateful for Valet on such a cold night. Was disappointed they did not have the famous honey chips and only one desert option. Saved a lot of calories and will come back for those chips another time I hope.
This was the third time I’ve been and it’s still amazing. The menu has so many great things to choose from that you have to visit a few times to try them all. The cocktail menu is really unique, would definitely recommend the buzz flower concoction! It has always been a pleasure dining there, and every guest I’ve taken has thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will most certainly return and would recommend to anyone who wants a contemporary flare on sushi.
My husband and I tried this for the first time when planning to see a movie at Cinebistro. This is one of the best sushi restaurants, as far as the quality of the food, we have been to. We knew it would be expensive based on the location of the restaurant, but it was worth it. The service was average quality, but the presentation of the food and the atmosphere made it fun.
The place was empty, yet took 30+ minutes to get only part of our dinner order (sushi and raw seared duck), which the sushi was warm and the duck was cold. For the price, I expected more flavor and better quality. Another 15-20 minutes had past and still missing the rest of the sushi we ordered. Asked to cancel the rest and bring us the check. I would have assumed the manager would stop by and apologize for the inconvenience, but that was not the case.
Visited for the first time this weekend and was really impressed with the interested cool hip vibe, attentive and friendly service and the food was awesome. Highly recommend the Bang Bang shrimp and Calamari as appetizers. All the rolls were creatively designed and well executed by the kitchen.
Will definitely be back.
I always love this place, but unfortunately there was some very loud and unruly children allowed to literally run throughout the restaurant. I understand needing to respect other people's parenting, but adults do not come to a restaurant with a bar on a Friday evening to be assaulted by screaming toddlers.
Went in at 9p knowing two of the party wouldn't be there til at earliest 930. Deadline to order any food 930p. Well we ordered over $300 worth of food. One of the incoming party wanted a beer and we were told by our waitress you could order that anytime. Well after 10 she comes and tells us you can't order a beer anymore she's sorry. So they don't get there until 10:10. We've got our food and we explain that we got misinformed and should still get a beer. Manager says no through the waitress and won't even come to the table to talk to us. The person who wanted the beer then decided he'll just take a coke. Manager says nope, can't even order a COKE! Wtf? You spend over 300 and can't get a Coke after 10? lol I'll never go back to the place despite the good being good. MF sushi will always be first.
We have eaten here many times and generally love it. Recently, we've had a couple of experiences that weren't quite perfect, but still very good. This visit on the other hand, the sushi simply wasn't good. I'm not sure if they've changed chefs, had some bad food, or something else. We will definitely wait a little while before we go back.
I made a reservation for 4 when we had actually 7 people but the restaurant doesn't take reservations for more than 4. We arrived at 7:30 and was able to choose inside or out! The hostess was extremely accommodating and sat us outside. We chose outside because we had 4 adults and 3 children 10,8 & 7 year olds. We're worried about bothering diners so decided to sit outside. The waitress was amazing!! Also extremely accommodating! She recommended so phenomenal dishes and kid friendly items. We love this neighborhood spot and don't even live in the area. We WILL be back. FYI the Haven roll OMG delish! Also- Senoma Crutrer by the glass was perfect in the heat of the evening.
We really enjoyed our evening at The One Sushi. Friendly hostess staff and very competent waiter , yummy food and nice wine list. We ordered several appetizers and especially enjoyed the tasty Bang Bang Shrimp! The sushi rolls were delicious, especially the Sex in the City roll . I live in Johns Creek but would definitely make the drive again down to Brookhaven. Love the atmosphere too!
ALWAYS LOVIN THE ONE!!!
Can't get enough of this place, we are regulars, and can't wait to go back!
The calamari fries and eggplant fries, each with a different aioli, are a must....MUST!!! So fun and great with white wine. The Picante, Twilight, and OMG rolls....are fantastic, so incredibly fresh, there are not words, how great. Don't miss this place, and for God's sake, don't bring your kids!!!
