The Omakase Room at Sushi-san is a culmination of Master Sushi Chefs Kaze Chan and Shigeru Kitano’s combined experience defining the Chicago sushi scene. While the menu and service are informed by tradition, guests can expect a transcendent experience that breaks down the formality and austerity usually accompanying omakase dining. Each dinner in the warm, modern, and intimate ten-seat space features luxury ingredients from around the world. Sophisticated and carefully curated beverage pairings are available to complement the meal.

    Our menu price is $250 per person, with a $100 deposit due at booking. A 20% service fee is added to all checks. Each omakase includes 18 courses prepared and presented by our master sushi chefs. In addition to the omakase dinner, we offer optional sake, wine, and spirit-free pairings to accompany your experience. The Omakase Room at Sushi-san is also proud to offer over 100 Japanese whiskies, including rare, limited, and celebrated editions. Gluten-free diners can be accommodated. We are unable to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets. Seatings are at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.     Please join us for a special Omakase, featuring a once-in-a-lifetime Sake experience. Each glass on the evening’s optional Sake pairing will be introduced by one of the four Toji (Master Brewer) who crafted it! The pairing selections will not feature just one, but FIVE of Japan’s iconic brands: Shichi Hon Yari Watari Bune Taiheikai Izumo Fuji Eiko Fuji In honor of Importer, Joto Sake’s, 20th Anniversary, we are thrilled to have such esteemed guests give voice to these hand-crafted Sake. Each selection has been carefully selected to pair with Chef Kaze’s 18 courses prepared and presented by our master sushi chefs. Our menu price is $250 per person, with a $100 deposit due at booking.     18 exceptional courses. 10 guests seated around the chef preparing the courses. The accompanying wine/sake selection was outstanding.

    This is my fifth or sixth time dining at the Omakase Room. In my opinion it is unquestionably the best sushi experience in Chicago. It never disappoints and never fails to impress. I wish I could afford to eat there nightly.

    I would give this dining experience 11/10. Exceptional food, presentation, service, ambience. On par with many Michelin starred restaurants in my experience.
